Awesome to see people discussing messing with reflect using ghosts 2 and 3! One note: the real/safe ghoki is actually a bit easier on pad because you only have to hold L and S to start. You either release S and then tap 6+SD to dash forward (releasing H ghost) and immediately 9 to dash jump and release L as you fastfall in... Or you release S and 9+SD to moon jump for the same effect. If you normal jump and manually negative edge everything, you can't ghoki from the max meaty S ghost range because you're not close enough to 2L when you land.
About the normal jump 2l it depends on how far u landed and set the ghosts. I mean, if u 7jh high up after dr u gonna be a bit far when u land, but if u hit 7jh closer to the ground u gonna land closer to the enemy
@@MonkeyDaQA it's not for 7jH. You can meaty S ghost from much farther away than 7jH distance. It comes up even though we have improved corner carry now (think midscreen DR, long 2H/2H with no assist up, or midscreen assisted vanish for example).

yo i tried to do the first rejump combo you showed but i just cant get it to work even trying to do the same starter, so i have 3 questions: 1. have these combos been affected timing wise by the most recent patch 2. is there a good wiki for gotenks combos bc dustloop is unparsable but i dont think it has them on there 3. if the answer to question 2 is no, do you think you would make a more in depth video about rejump combos, like a breakdown of each one (ie what are the hard/unintuitive parts) and the notations, im not like asking you to if its not something youd want to do but i think it would be good to have a proper documentation of the different rejumps, especially for less experienced players like me. i know this vid is 8 months old but i also know you probably still have it set to get notifs when someone comments :) also just wanted to say love your vids your one of my favourite creators even irrespective of fighterz.
I think they actually pair pretty well. Goku black can almost always give gotenks full corner carry into ghost oki because of 214 m launching so far and also giving your double jump back. Also having a good anti air assist like goku black B can be super beneficial for gotenks. They don't have anything crazy broken together as far as I know but I think they definitely do work.

I say this because the new patch has it to where cell does not need J2H to do optimal damage thanks to the beam buff, therefore being able to tag in gotenks for Ghoki. Yeah I actually think cell can pair pretty well with Gotenks. The fact that he can do high damaging combos into ghost oki a lot more consistently now is super useful, and it's also nice that he can do certain corner loops and still not use his launcher smash to allow Gotenks to still get ghost oki with high damage. He also is able to use 214H at the end of a combo in order to let Gotenks steal the corner and dhc into his level 3 oki. Also, I think his assists are also pretty good for Gotenks. Not just for neutral control, but having assists that beat superdash are very good for Gotenks in my opinion.
How do you feel about videl and gotenks? Ive been messing around with them but videl likes to use smash early and gotenks likes to avoid smash. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this!

Can you explain what you meant by gotenks giving other characters the best oki in the game? if you tag into gotenks mid combo from another character, it's really hard to set up ghost oki, no? and also then it's still just gotenks getting the strong oki, not the other character.
It's totally just interpretation, but just the way I think of it is like the two characters are sharing a combo. Where a character like android 21 would normally end up with like unimpressive oki, if you play gotenks now your android 21 combos will end in ghost oki, but like you can disagree it's just how I see it. Also imo like obviously some characters are better than others at it, but there are situations where basically any character can tag into ghost oki. I usually just say they pair better with gotenks if they can get ghost oki off more situations though.
@@illaGreenTea I guess I more meant to ask how someone would tag out into gotenks and still end that combo with ghost oki. Since normally you need the jump back heavy nowadays to even set it up. I can't really think of a scenario where someone could get a normal damaging combo and still be able to set up that situation where gotenks has the two smash properties to set that up with 214m and dj.7h, but maybe I'm just a noob (ty for the response, BTW. It really just depends on the character you're using, because some characters can do a full combo and at the end of it you don't have to use the 214h launcher from gotenks, you can just use whatever launcher from the 1st character and tag into gotenks after. Like if you're using a character and just do an average j2h combo, then superdash and don't use your double jump, you can tag into gotenks before you touch the ground again and just do j7h or j8h or j9h depending on where you are relative to the corner. Other characters have combos that specifically don't use any properties, like teen gohan for example. But most characters will have to sacrifice some damage, and how much damage they have to sacrifice is just one of the things to consider for gotenks synergy. But yes generally it's difficult for the average character to get really high damage on a combo and still go into ghost oki, but some can. But my philosophy is always that if I can do ghost oki perfectly, they're probably gonna get hit and die, so I don't need a lot of extra damage, but you can totally disagree.
About the ghost oki, I always used the jl variation, but after watching the video I thought about holding only superdash (Heavy and Special ghosts to meaty) and light, so I let go of superdash at their wake up to send the 2 ghosts then I jump, letting go of light in the air to send light ghost, and keep my medium ghost. Setting the bot to counter with reflect, he couldnt reflect, so do u think its a good method?
I personally can't get it to fully meaty them into a high low doing like that, but you might be doing something different than me. The main benefit of only using one ghost to meaty them though is that you can add an extra layer by delaying the second two ghosts for if they were to reflect the first one, but if you only have one ghost left because you used two ghosts to meaty you wouldn't be able to get the same mix up afterwards. I think just using one ghost to meaty is probably more efficient, but honestly if you want to do a different version of ghost oki then there's nothing wrong with that.

You just have to time it properly there's really nothing else I can say, but it is good to keep in mind that if you do like a maxed out combo before the j.214m you actually won't be able to connect the jh. A good thing to keep in mind is if you can do jm into 236l, you'll almost always be able to get 214m into jh after, but if you do die die missile barrage into punches after that it might drop
They're an ok combo. Gotenks does really like adult gohan's assist but that's about it. I will say that with the most recent patch gohan is slightly better at doing a good combo into ghost oki, since now he can so 2m into his grounded beam, rejump, and still have the smash needed to give gotenks ghost oki. And gotenks can DHC gohan in and allow him to multi super in order to level up, or if you jump back as you hit them down the same way you would for ghost oki but just do your normal super and DHC into gohan you can just get a dr after leveling him up. They don't have any crazy synergy together as far as I know but they do pair decently well.
