No, I'm not in the North anymore, I love my area so far.
When an opportunity comes to buy, it is the best option. Renting is paying the owners mortgage. It's always better to buy a property. Renting also results in extreme difficulty to be able to save for a deposit to buy. I encouraged both my children not to rent.

£1650pm😮😮😮crazy rents and no return. Will ALWAYS be 100times better to buy not rent. Landlords have full control and can increase rents when they choose. My colleague rents and her Landlord increased her rent from £1150 to £1300per months with barely any notice. She cannot save for a deposit for her own home and feels trapped renting.
