Watching and listening from the Netherlands. I have heard Mr Klavan's testimony several times, and each time it touches my heart. Thank you very much for interviewing him.
GOD hear my prayers. At times I feel alone as a single mother yet I’m not because I have you. Give me strength I’ve been struggling to support my children for the last 4 years both are special needs. Jesus help me as I struggle to support my children’s basic necessities like groceries and clothing. Give me strength. Amen.💕💕
God is right there next to you dear ❤ This life is just A TEST. A test of our love, our loyalty, our honesty, and our PERSEVERANCE. That is what the Bible says. KEEP FIGHTING dear Mother ❤ "Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him !" (James 1:12) ❗
I'm at such a similar point in my life. I'm 28 years old. I know there must be a God, but I can't figure out how to believe in Him. I have a son whom I love very much, but I'm depressed. My lights are turned off. I'm ready to give up being my own person. After hearing this I certainly feel less alone, so thank you, thank you, thank you.
God loves everyone and specifically you. If you look for him you will find him. Hang in there. I've known depression too. Christ is not a myth. He's alive and able to save.
@jamiegrape5752 Just a suggestion, but it worked for me: Find a Catholic church that offers Eucharistic Adoration hours that work for your schedule. Just stop in and sit with the Blessed Sacrament. You don’t need to do anything; the invitation is to just come, sit, and know that LOVE is coming out to you, for real. Over time, the relationship develops, and you can pray, read, or just bask in the love. I learned my worth this way. Hope you can too.
I have great respect for Andrew Klavan, love his humility and faith in Jesus. His testimony glorifies the Lord. Please ask him back often to discuss current issues.
Although I'm not Christian *(Muslim)* but I relate to his story not believing in god was the root of all mental illness I have for 20 years it is the the robe of hope that was cutt off
I’ve recently started reading Klavan’s books (The Great Good Thing and his Cameron Winter series). I’m in my early 20’s and struggled with my faith for most of those years. His testimony reflected many of the things I thought and felt on my way to Christ. Andrew Klavan, I believe, has accomplished his task as a writer. I felt less alone in my experience of the world.
Having escaped nihilism myself and a failed suicide attempt Christ revealed himself and today Im a happy Catholic getting married in December. God has changed me and I cant stop witnessing and talking about Christ and his Church.
I had to learn to use depression as a gift, it sounds weird but there is a lot to be learned from the experience with the right perspective. That book called The Jesus Response by John Pohl as also helpful for me.
Hero? The dude was an average Hollywood writer who got canceled and jumped on the Daily Wire “owning the libs” train. Andrew is the epitome of weak men create hard times.
what! he is a fraud! he is not christian at all, he had said anti christian retoric for a long time. I don't say he is a bad person and all, but he has an agenda, and it is not christianity
Won't lie, quite surprised Klavan dealt with depression (or even believes in it frankly) and dealt with such turmoil and suicidality. Oddly beautiful story here.
I think most people who deny God are in some form of genius induced narcissism. Thinking on my own progression. I had to mentally grow through such false beliefs. I do think it's a natural process for any competent person growing into their own agency... But it's something you grow through to know it's wrong and why do you don't make future errors.
@@christopherrobin8134 It's called this particular man when on a rant about how saying "CHRIST IS KING..." is somehow antisemitic and attacked his once co-worker like she was a terrorist, so yes Christ is the only answer and is the Son of God the long-awaited Messiah thus Jesus Christ is King of ALL.
I cannot understand this phrase "leave it to God." What does that look like or mean in practice? I cannot leave my work today to God. I cannot leave paying the bills to God. I have to be the one to take care of this stuff. God nor Jesus is going to do them for me. So what does this mean? Life seems to be nothing more than a burden lately. I can't understand why I should do anything other than just sit on my knees and pray until I die if the only point is to get back to God. I wholeheartedly do not believe he lives a Catholic life especially given his reaction to the statement "Christ is King" and supports his son pretending to be married to a man. To me, it is a shock to even know he claims to be Catholic, but then again we have a lot of CINO's who believe the lies they tell themselves and others that they live a Catholic life (biden, pelosi, trudeau, macron etc.)
