    Ford should purchase your vid for their commercial. It is very detailed and no camera tricks. Just a plain truth on a plain sight.

    I like the rims. might need to get a set of those with the tyres. Looks very capable with the lift - something I wish to do too.

    • @michaeltoomer4090
      @michaeltoomer4090  6 лет назад +2

      This is my mates car but I had the exact same rims but a slightly smaller tyre. If you are running a 33” tyre it’s best to get a 8” wide rim as it’s less likely to pop the bead. These are a 9” wide rim. Also these are a lot more prone to rock rash as there not as tucked in to the tyre. My current set is now 305/70r16 on a 16x8 Wheel. Can air these down lower and a better ride off-road. Of course on road it doesn’t handle as well. Hope hat helps

    • @purana80
      @purana80 6 лет назад +1

      Some folks like bling.. honestly I don't care what the rims look like. More interested in a decent tyre on whatever rims are best suited :) haha

  • @georgemocanu5097
    @georgemocanu5097 5 лет назад +2

    Hi, i'm a big fan of your truck and the way you drive it! I've been reading up on your comment section and it seems you put alot more money than i can afford into your ranger as it is now:)
    I was wondering if you could tell me, are the steel bumpers and other mods really essential for protection or could i mannage with just a lift and 33s like you were running in this video?
    Also, would a 3 or 4" lift be doing more harm than good?

    • @michaeltoomer4090
      @michaeltoomer4090  5 лет назад +1

      George Mocanu thanks mate appreciate it. For the record the car in this video is my mates. My other videos feature my own. I didn’t get good enough footage of my own vehicle on this trip so just did one of my friends truck.
      To answer your question you don’t need any bullbar etc to 4X4. Just a basic lift and decent tyres is all you need however it leaves you with no protection and no recovery options
      Eg.
      Bullbar - protection, winch recovery options
      Rear bar - as above
      Rocksliders - protect sills

    • @georgemocanu5097
      @georgemocanu5097 5 лет назад

      @@michaeltoomer4090 thanks for the reply! I What i was really trying to say is on a trail like this , with just a lift and tyres, how bad (read expensive) did your mates ranger get banged up?:) And if you think steel bumpers would save more money than they cost for someone on a budget.

    • @michaeltoomer4090
      @michaeltoomer4090  5 лет назад

      George Mocanu you don’t need a bullbar and rear bar. Just be prepared for damage if it happens. If you plan on doing a lot of hard tracks often then I reccomend it.
