SS4 is a lot more forgiving than SS Forever or SS2. In the latter 2, you just get straight up rekt by artillery and field guns.
The flak artillery from SS2 still gives me nightmares.

Love sudden strike.However I see you bunch your men together.I finished sudden strike last week and found that keeping men apart will work better.And always send in 1point man first then your main infantry force (spread out).then armor in support.thanks

Witam. Znalazłem pewien błąd w grze Sudden Strike 4. Nie mogłem zatankować pojazdu który miał już 0% paliwa. Z kolei jak pojazd ma 1% paliwa wyskakuje gość z kanistrem na stacji benzynowej i nam go tankuje do 100%. Dziwne. Nie zauważyłem też by były cysterny. W teorii pojazd transportu ma ikonę amunicji i paliwa - ale paliwo jedynie tankuje dla siebie na ikonkę niebieską. Pojazd transportowy bierze tylko amunicję - ikona żółta ale nie paliwo - ikona żółta. Pytanie po co jest ta ikona żółta paliwa w menu tego pojazdu ? Wie ktoś jak dotankować pojazd który ma 0% paliwa ? Pozdrawiam.
20:53 is exactly what they did to me on Easy mode. Hit me with 15-20 tanks at once. I don’t get it.

Can you play as the French in this game? It would be weird if you cant because they have French units in the game already....
Are there other units than the small Hotchkiss tank though? I hope we will be able to play as these factions on maps created in the editor.

Kvantovy Yea or some of the French medium tanks like the S35
You cant play as the french yet, they might add that in later.

Visually this game looks impressive, but the fact the modding abilities is limited, firing range is arcade as all Hell. And all fire looks like fireworks... This is a disappointing sight
Black_Mask I was excited for this last August but they decided to take the same route as Blitzkrieg III and make a joke out of the franchise
The last two points you mentioned can be fixed fairly easily. All of the trail effects can be switched off in the settings. The firing ranges can easily be changed in the game editor. As for modding, i seriously hope the devs support it, as we have seen with games like Men of War mod support is what makes these types of games great.
Agreed, the genre has evolved. When we have games like Steel Division and Wargame, why even bother with something like this?
sedghammer Exactly! I have Steel Division and love it.
I'd choose SS4 anytime over Wargame/SD. Could never understood how those games got so much popularity. The gameplay feels like a failed Frankenstein of HOI-like elements mixed with classic RTS mechanics.
