I don’t ever want to see someone get hurt, however if you stand there and watch the horse bite someone or watch the horse keep pushing people away, and then they walk close to the horse, you are asking for trouble. It’s not the horses fault because you lack common sense.

This has to be VERY stressful for the animal. Humans or a clearly marked demarcation line should be used to keep these nervous humans, at least 5 to 10 feet from the horse instead of using the horse to fight them off. Horses have been used as crowd control for centuries but forcing a horse to endure this job on its own is frankly cruel. The tourists frantic activity is making the horse nervous as hell. As i said, it is cruel!

  • @kindabluejazz

I don't get why people laugh when the horse bites at them. How can they not understand the horse is telling them it's agitated and it's not a good time to get close to it - instead they laugh and often go back in close again trying to get their photo op. They seem to not understand what a 1200 lb animal could do to them if it wanted to lash out. No officer would be able to stop the animal in time before it stomped them.

Service is enough… change the rule of law to protect the animals from the predatory behavior of tourists. Tourists in general have no respect for the English culture and think these soldiers and horses are there as a side show - a circus act. Keep people away from the horses by erecting a barrier with nice looking ropes latched to cast iron bolted down pillars. Still allows pictures but distance is kept…. 10’

It’s really unbelievable how tourists blatantly disregard the warning signs about the horse possibly biting or kicking, and when the horse does nip at them, they look up at the soldier with a look of surprise, as if to say something or to glare at the guard angrily. It’s comical then to watch them take the little walk of shame and embarrassment because they are scolded by the police woman! In America, there are people who try to get hurt deliberately, just to file a lawsuit and maybe get money from the courts!

The poor horses…. The tourists just continue to harass the guard and the horse. The area should be roped off an agreeable distance to keep the horse safe from people grabbing them. They need to make the rules regarding touching the horses very strict. I can’t believe how rude some tourists are. I’ve lived my life knowing that if someone says “Don’t touch”, then you don’t. If a sign says “Do Not Touch , then you DO NOT TOUCH! It’s really quite simple! NO means NO!

I swear, this area attracts the dumbest tourists known to the world. What on earth are they using for brains? Little Miss Drama put on quite a show falling to the ground after that bite. Seriously? I still say, and always will...visitors should NOT be allowed to feed the horses. Too many crazies out there these days. I wouldn't trust anyone to feed the horses! The female officer should be training the other officers as to how to control the crowd. She does an excellent job; she's the best they've got there and deserves to be acknowledged for her work!

And the horse had already bit at the FIVE people that rushed up there right before that lady. And at least 2 of those 5 were actually ladies within her group…..the 2 ladies that went directly before her (light pink shirt & cap, green & white dress with tan hat). So, the horse was clearly already giving warnings and showing signs of being agitated; yet she still rushed right up there and got even closer than the others before her.

They should keep a barrier up so the tourists won’t be able to walk up so close for a photo. It’s obvious after watching so many of these videos that tourists have no respect for the horse or the soldiers.

Don't mess with her she doesn't take 💩from anyone.

An equestrians way of subtly telling the crowd to get the eff back. Why people think they can crowd or harass an animal and not expect to be retaliated upon is unbelievable. Good for the horse !!! These Guards and equine ,though much is ceremonial, are responsible for the security of premises and the Royal family. Tourists sould and must respect that. Entitlement is not theirs to own.

Not the horses fault, I’m really amazed they allow people to get so close to them. The signs clearly reads do not touch the reigns and that they may bite so that should warn you they can be unpredictable so common sense should advise not to get too close.
