the Defense is pretty good and they should be better than last year,,,, we need O-line help and a center plus a wide receiver,, but with the new OC I think they are going to play dink and dump Offence with a heavy run game so they may settle for a late round receiver
The reason Darius Rush didn't play that much last year was because he wasn't on the team until late October when Pittsburgh signed him off the Chiefs practice squad. His snap count increased more as the season moved along and this will be his first full offseason with the team which will give more quality time learning the system. Rush is a sleeper player on this roster. I really like him.
Just draft Sanderstril in 3 rd round problem solved
Also, this draft is loaded with Slot Corners. Pittsburgh can get one with one of those two third round picks, or even in the fourth round, and will play significant snaps immediately. Sainristil from Michigan makes a lot of sense. One of my guys from Penn State: Hardy, Dixon or King would be a great fit. Josh Newton from TCU. Andru Phillips from Kentucky is rising up the board. I think the Steelers will be fine at the Slot if they decide to draft one.
Sainristil and Phillips are most likely Day 2 guys and maybe even Kalen King. Hardy, Dixon and Newton are all Day 3 picks.
Cory Trice could he play inside
Maybe if he can stay healthy

I really liked what I saw from Darius rush when he played he was always in the vicinity of the ball and nearly had 3 picks in 2 games he just needs to develop some more to get the game to slow down a bit so he can capitalize on the opportunities
What's going on with him I haven't heard anything about him since he got injured
The thing is, i think Dan Moore is a solid starter at tackle. Our offensive line played great down the stretch last season, and he plays well against myles Garrett, and he's going nowhere, so why get rid of him? We really need 3 positions more than tackle, slot corner a number 2 receiver, and a center.

@jayjames4629 I concur I've been telling people that Dan Moore is a swing tackle not a starter. They need to move Broderick Jones back to his college position in LT and get a RT that's just as good as him and then you have the edge sealed up for years to come. Add in a decent center that can snap the ball better than Mason Cole and the line would look completely different than last season if they do that.
Talk to somebody who lived in Freeport back in '72 about rain & floods. I lived in South Hills, and we could white water raft the "crick" behind our house that was normally less than a foot deep and 4-6' wide. Hurricane Agnes dumped rain for a week, and then it rained some more. Seemed like we were never gonna see the sun again. As kids in our house we had to take turns keeping an eye on the sump pump, and as the oldest I was responsible for keeping the gutters clear. We were lucky, being at the top of a very big hill, but pretty much everybody in the surrounding valleys had some level of flooding. I think donton was flooded, as well as the Point.
Let me just say this, as much as I love the cornerback from Clemson. There’s not a cornerback in this years draft I’ll take at pick 20 in the first round with what we need on the offensive line. And you have these guys up here talking about taking a slot corner with our first pick in this year‘s draft, are you serious?
Bro you just read my mind I love what they do but I can tell when they are running out of updates with the Steelers creating content. We need a slot not a starter besides there are corners in free agency before we take one in the first. Also CB are the third deepest class after WR and OT. They acting like Trice is already hurt again.
Dan more is a rt he came in and beat out chukes for rt in training camp but because Zach banner was not healthy he was moved to the left. Same situation as Kevin Dotson as soon he’s at his correct position he’s elite give him a chance

What I don't understand when we bring up Devin Bush it wasn't a bad pick as if the organization knew he would have a major injury after his rookie campaign. Which he played really good as a rook.

4 major positions of need left, still have the rest of fa, the draft and the cut period during the off season. They have more then enough time to address everything and there's no need to rush a make a move or overpay imo if there's nothing they really like. Rosters setup better then most off seasons before the draft so im happy.
Based on the draft value chart, if the Steelers wanted to move up to 1 (12) = 1200pts and Den wanted all 2024 compensation, Pit would have to pretty much give up 1 (20) = 850pts + 3 (84) = 170pts + 3 (98) = 108pts + 4 (119) = 56pts + 6 (178) = 20.2pts. Steelers picks total: 1204.2pts

What's going on with the other corner we drafted with porter Jr. They was talking highly of him until he got injured then we don't hear anything about him any more
Daequan Hardy would be a good late round slot corner who also can be an asset in the return game.

The way I see it it’s highly likely that Dan starts the season even if you do draft one much like he did over Jones last year. So I’d wait on tackle I think corner and receiver and center are much more pressing needs.
What about a wr or db first round, trade your 2nd & 4th for a higher 2nd, get the guy who’s a very good center( I think from Washington, I could be wrong, but he plays every position on the line) then you have flexibility for how the 3rd round plays out or keep Moore as tackle one year
You are thinking of Graham Barton from Duke he plays guard but tested off the charts when he got plugged into the center position. His grade was 9.99 out of 10 at the center position. But yes he played just about every position on the O-Line for Duke.
Every damn time I was hit by another driver who was at fault, I didn't have any insurance, license, valid inspection sticker and I had expired tags. And 3 or 4 of those times I was involved in a talk with my date and she had fallen asleep face down on my lap and bad things happened is all that I can say. Very close to being like John Bobbitt after his lady cut off his little buddy 😅😂

They can probably find a versatile safety to play slot. Tykee smith or Caleb bullock if we don’t get a guy like jarrian jones
It’s a deep draft at OLine why trade up ? Honestly there is great value in the 2nd and 3rd rds for OLine.

Alot of mock drafts have Fuaga falling right into our draft spot or after us. Just saying, seems no trade necessary. If that's who the steelers want.
That would be great. Might be the only thing to take them off of Mims. Mims is mighty tempting. But I would think without the injury history, and much more playing time Fuaga would be the way to go. And although I am living in the midwest I was born in Corvallis. Fuaga is an animal at right Tackle.
That's the theory anyway, free up B. Jones to play his natural position on left. I hear you about Mims injury history...could make him fall in draft to round 2? The boys have been making moves right and left for CB trying to find the answer. I just hope they find their guy, whoever it is, and finally move on. They have been very quiet about Center. I think they have someone in mind, but maybe 2nd round?....Pouncey is big shoes to fill either way.

It would all be based on who Cincy goes with they need a tackle and they pick before us. So only reason to trade is to keep them from picking a tackle the Steelers want before they can pick. It comes down to how much they think the bumgals could potentially take the player they have there eyes set on drafting.

@@josephdonovan9125 the bills don't really need to much and they'd probably go for it just to get there main hole at WR other than that they don't really need much and it wouls move the Steelers back to I think pick 28 or something right around there.

I kind of think they may not draft a slot corner,,,, Joey Porter has a cousin coming in for a visit, I think he just might be the slot,,, and he will be undrafted,,, he is not on any of the boards
They will get Chandon Sullivan and use Darius Rush as his backup. Corey Trice will backup Jackson and Porter. Be real guys.

All i saw from Darius Rush is him dropping the easiest INT on the planet and then giving up a huge completion because he got beat. I do like the upside with Thompson, as depth at minimum. But no matter what, neither is a starter

Gilmore isn't a slot corner and he has played the majority of his career where JPJ plays CB. So it would mean JPJ would have to play on the opposite side and it's totally different playing one side compared to the other. So getting Gilmore only causes more issues than fixing them.
Why not sign justin Simmons and let minkah play the slot
