Isn't a 3090 TI graphics card a little weak to make a test between two high end CPUs meaningful? I'm guessing both these CPUs are powerful enough to be sitting twiddling their thumbs waiting for the GPU most of the time?
It's AMD so the power consumption is going to be ridiculously low anyways. I don't see a need to add it. If this was Intel vs AMD then I would agree with you.
Saw the 9950X and i9 14900K go hand in hand in power consumption in other videos, both using 126W. 9800X3D was using about 61W. Playing a game at 1080p
😂😂 61W @ 1080p , who in the world will buy a cpu in 2024 to play @1080p .... Almost everyones play @ 1440p and 4K , we dont care about the 61w @ 1080p ..... seriously. Gamers these day , all they want is performance , thats it. Anyway amd cpu use less power than intel for sure....
I bought a 9950x and am very happy with it, the extra cores and faster single threads make it so much more worth it. The gaming performance difference here is hardly noticeable.
It's tested in 1080p so the cpu can reach its max and show its differences. 4k bottnecks the cpu, leaving a ton of room for the cpu to put out work. All this video did is say it they work, but not how well
To the replies, this guy is using the Return RUclips Dislikes extension and it shows you when the owner disables dislikes, and this guy did disable them.
My brother in Christ please when testing CPU go for 1080p or at least 1440p, 4K is mostly bounded by the GPUs power. Also, please consider adding average FPS counter to your benchmarks.
Total disagree. I'm very happy to find a 4k bench. I will use that resolution. I will NOT use anything else, so I give a flower what 1080p would tell. Get over it, some people care for what they use, not what could be else.😁
I strongly disagree. Testing in 4K is much more realistic. Nobody with a RTX x090 card would play in freaking 1080p. Thank you for testing in 4K (or 5K soon).
@@TheAngryGeezerYT1080p or 1440p, when the benchmark is bottlenecked by the GPU it provides very limited information about the cpu performance. 5800X3D, 7800X3D and 9800X3D would perform pretty much the same in this kind of testing.
@ well true but it also lets me is the difference between a 9950x vs 9800 x3d if I also do content creation I may go 9950x as per this test shows no loss in gaming but I would gain in multi threaded task

all the benchmarks are in 4k making it gpu dependent if it ws 1080p or 1440 there would actually be a difference
Where are the frequencies and why is the higher core count 9950X experience more CPU utilization? Also why are the temps so high - and so consistent?
wheres is the power consumption ?

9950X cheaper then 9800X3D in my country by 80$ :D
In my country the 9950x has a retail price of 679€ meanwhile the 9800x3d has 559€ (out of stock, can only be preordered).
Thank you for testing in 4K (and not in meaningless 1080p). I intended to buy a 9950X but after this test I am not sure ...

fps lows difference between the two cpus is kinda weird
