www.revzilla.c...
From street to sport, canyons to competition, the Dainese Avro 4 jacket is ready to perform. With a combination of cowhide leather, stretch fabric, and elastication, the Avro 4 keeps protection in place during even the most spirited rides. Shoulder protectors with interchangeable aluminum plates hint at the full complement of armor inside. There’s also a pocket for optional G1 or G2 back protector (sold separately). Inside, experience the Nanofeel liner with silver ion treatment, as well as a removable thermal liner that can be used separately.
that guy's a legend for keeping a straight face at the beginning.
I'm a Dainese fan. And I just bought this jacket. It's great. High quality.
Thank you guys 👍
Hey can you put on this jacket and ride comfortably during summer as well?
up to what temperature does it hold up in cold weather?
He stood so still, I don’t even see him breathing in and out
How come you never show the model wearing the back and chest protectors? We really need that info for proper sizing...
whew.... is it just me or i thought that guy was a manequin!!!!! weird... then he moved and blinked his eyes... creepy lol
BT- X that blank stare...
What happened to the other buff dude?
thats that thousand yard stare, this man has probably fought in the vietnam war and is getting flashbacks to the mustard gas and machine gun fire mowing down his friends
He’s an android lol
I sure wish the perforated version of this was still available.
It is easily one of their best jackets for fit and features - yet seemingly discontinued.
Dainese, we need you to make this jacket again - (the perforated version).
Bought this jacket. Kinda strange fit. Sized up because of the liner, but fits loose without the liner.
hello. the removable liner from the video, can be bought separately?
Not through us sadly, but Alpinestars might be able to source one directly for you.
Hmmm, this is interesting regarding size. My new avro 4 arrived today in size 54. I went race fit size and actually ordered 52, same size as my dainese assen 2 1 piece race suit. Jacket arrived today in size 54 and it couldn't be any smaller, it is as tight as possible without being too small. As in perfect race fit. The weird part is that they knew a 52 was too small without me trying it on. Mind = blown lol
Is the jacket lvl 1 or lvl2?
What's your body measurements?
Good video as always. Just a question: will there be a Super Speed 3 jacket review?
Cheers and thanks in advance!
Hi revzilla, my Height 175cm and 71kg with chest circumference at 95cm, planning to wear it without thermal lining...would u suggest size euro 46 or 48?
You could probably get away with 46. -DrewZilla
Hi
I see almost your videos and I like them all.
I want to ask your opinion..
Which Dainese leather jacket should I buy?
I have Dainese Air Crono 2 and I like it.
But which one should I buy? Dainese Assen leather jacket oder Avro 4?
Both are very nice, but the Avro 4 is a step up from the Assen. The leather and other details are even nicer, so personally I'd choose the Avro 4. -DrewZilla

I have 52 with Dainese Assen,im 1.8m tall and 92 kg,what size do i need 52 or 54?
JUICE!
Hey @RevZilla.
I have worn the SuperSpeed that I bought you this last winter for a few days, and it seemed to windblock better than the 'textile' CarveMaster -that I got as well-. I know that the textile with GoreTex and stuff is going to be thousand times better in case of rain and also more comfy whatnots, but...
...Would you say that for the SOLE matter of windblock and warmth, would this Avro 4 with its thermal layer be even better than the CarveMaster (which is a middle-top of the line 3 season jacket)? Probably not in the neck area for obvious reasons, but overall.
Last question: are zippers still bullshit? Be honest there...
Thanks in advance. I'm thinking of buying it... (although might wait a few months to get it since north of 600$ for yet another leather would be too capricious).
I couldn't understand that which part of this jacket is synthetic ?
Hi I'm 178cm tall and weigh 72kg. Would a 50 be okay??
Too tight in the arms. Will cut off circulation. Cut down on the curls 😁
hi revzilla, what sould i command, a 46 or a 48 ? my chest is 36.5-37 inch i'm around 5p7-8 145 ibs...
if there would be no lining I would take a 46 but it's the lining that bothers me and my weight gain.
Size 48 is probably appropriate. -DrewZilla
Yes, Im searching for the all black!
Is he not working with Revzilla anymore ? His reviews were the best!
Man this one looks pretty good. Thinking of coupling it with my SuperSpeed. Although I for instance am a bit reluctant of Dainese jackets anymore ever since the so blatant cheapening of their products.
For instance, check the Dainese Racing D1 and now check the one that came next, Dainese Racing 3. You went from a nicely stitched and leathered and detailed jacket to something that seems made in China in a couple of hours stitching some random leather panels together. I don't know
I dig the Avro 4 aesthetics though. Love the buttons on the wrists instead of velcros (that ruin my ****ing gloves). Would love a small red logo on the collar too!
Hi! Is this jacket waterproof/ water resistant?
Thanks! :)
Like almost all leather jackets, it is not waterproof nor resistant. You would need to carry a packable rain jacket to wear over it when it rains. Below are the only leather or leather/textile waterproof options. -DrewZilla

im 1.75cm and 87kg (broad-built). what size do you recommend?
Very tight on the arms, I would say size up, if you workout at all go one up or find a more relaxed jacket
Which one to choose between below jackets for Aprilia Tuono mostly street and occasional track use:
Alpinestars gp pro airflow leather jacket
Dainese Avro 4 Perforated Jacket
Alpinestars GP Plus R v2 Airflow Jacket
5.11 ft, 166lb , 38in chest, 23.5in arm length, 33in waist
For your dimensions and riding style, I would probably go with the Dainese in size 48 or 50. -DrewZilla

Do you think this jacket is compatible to the Alpinestars Tech-Air 5 Airbag system? Or not enough stretch? Thanks.
how is the sizeing of this compare to Dainese Super Speed jacket? currenly im wearinv SPR jacket size 54 but to me a bit smaller maybe one size up it will fit nicely... now im thinking about getting this jacket what size should i get ?
Thanks for this video! Does this Jacket in size 52 or 54 fit to the Delta 3 Pants or the Dainese Misano in size 26 (short size), 48 or 50? (Zipper)
With a 41 inch chest, the Dainese Manis D1 Backprotector and the Dainese Chest L2, do you recommend a 52 or 54 Dainese Avro 4 Jacket?
Thank you for your time!
Yes, both 52 and 54 jackets will connect with 26, 48, or 50 pants. For you, I recommend the jacket in size 52. -DrewZilla
I want to buy this jacket, since im getting my license soon. So I would like to know what size i should get. I‘m 5‘10 and I have a 39 inch chest. I will probably get a d1 wave back protector and maybe a chest protector. Wich size would be the best?
Hi Revzilla....I'm curious about your comparison between this and the dainese mugello jacket?
The Mugello uses Dainese's highest-level D-Skin 2.0 leather along with the additional elbow sliders, whereas the Avro 4 uses the still-premium Tutu leather while forgoing elbow sliders. The Mugello also gets CE Level 2 shoulder and elbow armor, while the Avro 4 uses CE Level 1 shoulder and elbow armor. -DrewZilla

How does the fit compare to the Avro D1? I noticed Hi Viz Brian wore a size 52 for the Avro D1 and Juice is wearing a Size 50. They both have a 42" inch chest. Does this Avro 4 fit bigger than the D1?
Also, I have a super speed c2 in a size 44... should I be getting the 44 in the Avro or 46? I'm not sure if the liner in will make it too tight. Thanks
Yes, this new version fits slightly more generously. The Super Speed is a tighter fit, so you definitely do not need a 46. I would stick with size 44 for you. -DrewZilla
Hello revzilla!! Which is best to buy dainese avro 4 or dainese fighter?
If you can afford it, the Fighter uses D-Skin 2.0 leather, which is even nicer and stronger than the Avro 4's Tutu leather. -DrewZilla

Would this jacket have enough flex round the arms to be worn comfortably on my Yamaha mt-09 Tracer (fj-09 in the US I think)? It has a more upright position so I don’t need a jacket, that forces me into too much of a tucked in position.
I think the Tracer can either look like a bit boring touring bike or a more sportive and exciting bike (it has a splendid engine!!) depending on how the rider accessorises🤔😄.
Yes, it would be fine on the Tracer. -DrewZilla
I had the racing 3 in a size 52 and I want this jacket but Anthony mentions that this jacket is a bit larger than the dainese norm. Will the avro 4 in a size 52 fit as the racing 3 did. I’m sorry if you have already answered this question but I didn’t see it.
You'd probably want a size 50 in the Avro 4. -DrewZilla

Hi. Dainese tex pans with zip like amsterdam fit with this jacket avro 4? Thanks
hey, is the avro 4 still good in 2024?

Will this jacket be warm enough in the winter with a rain coat over ?
Yes, with the removable thermal liner inserted and a rain coat over top, this should be warm enough for winter riding. -DrewZilla
If I have a 48 inch chest what size would you recommend? I’m a pretty built guy so I want to get one that will fit snug. I won’t be racing or anything just everyday street use.
Probably a size 58 or a smaller chance that you'd need a size 60. -DrewZilla

Hi! Got this jacket in charcoal / yellow and I love it! Planning on buying "matching" leather pants + boots. I was thinking on the Delta 3 + A* SMX 6 v2, but I'm worried about the boot not fitting properly due to the pant's shin protector... Any insight? Thanks!
i would go for the dainese torque pro in boots, the go inside the pants really comfy, great protection and look great
I would go with the Delta 3 Pants and then either the Course D1 Out Boots or the Torque D1 In Boots as Robert Whelan said. -DrewZilla

No back/spine protection?
Usually on leather, and always on race style leather, you wear a seperate protector underneath since built in protectors don't offer as good protection because they need to cover your entire spine which means they have to go pretty much from your buttcrack to your neckl. Hi, I wanted to know the jacket in this video is the non perforated version right? I assume the perforated version will have holes on the leather cuz I can't seem to find a perforated picture of this jacket
Yes, this is non-perforated. Unfortunately, we don't have a photo of the perforated version, but it will have small holes just like any perforated leather jacket. -DrewZilla

Hi, i’m 5’11 tall, 216 pounds heavy, chest 42, do i need 54 jacket?
Tnx
Would the Dainese jacket wrap around zipper work with non Dianese pants ( like a pair of Joe Rocket pants)?
Dainese uses OPTI connection zippers. The only other brand to use them is Spidi. So you can connect Dainese with Spidi. All other brands use different zippers and are not compatible with Dainese. So Joe Rocket is not compatible. -DrewZilla
Hi guys, I found a really old 2-piece Dainese suit that says Evolution TS. It’s purple, black and some other colors. Do you have any idea what year is it from? I’m guessing it’s from the 80s
No idea of the year, but it's likely late 80s or 90s. -DrewZilla
There is something that i want to know. I want to buy perforated Version of this jacket. And is the perforated version of this Jacket has a thermal liner?
Yes, the perforated version also includes a full-sleeve thermal liner. -DrewZilla
*bit.ly/Avro4_Perf
Does Dainese make a three-season warm weather (spring-summer-fall) textile jacket?

Hey guys, how does this jacket compare against the Dainese Fighter? I can't pick between the two...
Thanks!
The Avro 4 uses Dainese's premium Tutu leather, while the Fighter uses Dainese's highest quality D-Skin 2.0 leather for additional abrasion resistance. Both jackets have removable thermal liners. The Fighter's D-Skin leather is well worth the slight increase in price, but both are excellent options. -DrewZilla

@@Tral1011 I bought a 54 cause i use it in winter too and i need space to put a sweatshirt under it whit the Nanofeel® lining on. I have to admit that in summer without Nanofeel® lining and just with a t-shirt, it's a little bit "big", but nothing too much uncomfortable. It's up to you ;)

Besides the removable thermal liner, are there any other differences between the Avro 4 and the Racing 3?
The Racing 3 uses S1 stretch fabric at the scapula, while the Avro 4 uses accordion stretch leather at the scapula. Besides that and the thermal liner, there aren't many functional differences. -DrewZilla
Man the Racing 3 is one of the worst pieces of leather I've seen Dainese do. Ever had one in your hands? Looks cheaply made. Compare it to the Racing D1 (its predecessor) for instance. I'd steer clear from the Racing 3, personally.
Is this jacket now discontinued!? 😭
Is this jacket ok for cruiser as well?

RevZilla Thanks for your reply... As always you guys are the greatest in moto gear.. Love you guys.. 👌
Hello,
What is the diffrence betwin Dainese racing 4 and avro 4?
Thank you.
The Avro 4 had more stretch than the original Racing 3, but the Racing 4 got an increase in stretch to be fairly close to the Avro 4. So now, the difference between the two is very minimal until Dainese releases a new Avro 5.
@@RevZilla Thank you

When will you guys get the red and black one size 50 back in stock ?
It should be coming into stock shortly. We're waiting on some stock to arrive in from Italy. -DrewZilla
Racing 4 vs Avro 4 which one is better ?
Both are solid options, with very similar features. Typically, it'll come down to whether or not you prefer the demon-logo or the written out Dainese-logo. They offer options in both in their lines because it can be polarizing for customers. - Pat
really nice jacket
I have a big beer belly. What if i buy a bit(not much) larger jacket then my size?
Dainese leather jackets are cut slim with a hard taper towards the midsection. I also have a bit of a gut and I would not recommend ordering a jacket with a larger-than-needed chest to accommodate your stomach as it ends up feeling awkward to wear. Instead, you may want to check out some jackets from REV'IT! or Alpinestars that are not quite as slim-fit. -DM
@@RevZilla thanks for the info
I am a 56 in the Air Crono 2, should I choose a 56 or 54 for this jacket?
Both of these jackets will fit fairly true to size. If you fit comfortably in a 56 while wearing the Air Crono 2, that should work with the Avro 4 as well. I would double check your measurements on Dainese 's size chart just to be sure, however. -Luke
is it possible to connect this jacket with leather trousers for track ?

Rifleman2423 you can get jackets at lower prices true but when you have gone down twice like me that price sounds like a bargain . Trust me if it weren’t for my alpine stars jacket I wouldn’t be here telling you this story

Dainese Racing 3 or This one I'm confused.
It depends whether you need a removable thermal liner. The Avro 4 comes with a thermal liner, while the Racing 3 does not. -DrewZilla
How does this compare to the avro d2? I have the avro d2 jacket and bottom
Are you referring to the Avro D2 Two-Piece Race Suit? If so, the jacket and the two-piece suit both use Tutu cowhide with S1 stretch fabric and the same composite shoulder and elbow armor. The biggest differences are that the D2 suit has a speed hump on the back, while the Avro 4 does not. The Avro 4 comes with a removable thermal liner, while the D2 suit does not. Additionally, the D2 suit has a complete 360 degree waist connection zipper, while the Avro 4 Jacket has a 270 degree connection zipper. -DrewZilla
@@RevZilla thanks, yes I was referring to Avro D2 two piece race suit. Mine has a the features you mentioned and it seems the only improvement Dianese did on the Avro 4 are the thermal lining.
