I like how they made an entire character into a Street Fighter reference.
Vintage Capcom was always about brand recognition, not like the Capcom of today.
+The Tempestrom And The Aftermath Thereof Agreed, interestingly, while he says Hadouken, I see his flame shots more like TIGER SHOT, since they have fire, which the basic Hadou doesn't but Tiger Shot does, and he can fire em low or high
Capcom is all about that disc locked content now.
Magma Dragoon, a mix of a bunch of different street fighter characters, specifically, Ryu, Ken, and Akuma, heck, Magma Dragoon has Akuma's prayer beads.
It could be because at the time, Capcom was celebrating the 10th anniversary of Street Fighter, so why pay tribute to their flagship franchise by immortalizing it in a maverick?
Nailed that melody, Ren! Also it has a lot more energy than the original - not sure if that's good or bad, as the original was extremely subdued.
I salute the only Reploid in the X series who spoke before AND after his defeat.
Don't forget the distinctions of being the only Maverick to appear in two games (in the same form) and to have two battle themes: he appears in X5 as well.

Timothy Parham No. He's the boss of the Training Stage you access from the menu. The fire-themed boss of X5 was Mattrex.
It's actually Burn Dinorex.

Hot damn, this is freakin' fantastic. Really captures both the atmosphere and power of the original, and hell, amplifies them even more! Loving that driving bassline, and the lead sounds brilliant. I don't think I've put a video into my favorites quicker than I have this one =P
If only Magma Dragoon was a recurring character in the X series. He left such an impact on the fanbase, much like Storm Eagle.

Actually, he's Akuma in Maverick form.
Look at how Magma Dragoon holds his hands in his fighting stance, and what he's wearing around his neck. He's totally referencing Akuma, which makes him the most badass Maverick around.

Another tell is the diagonal flying kick he performs. Ryu has no such move in his arsenal, but Akuma most definately does.

The original rendition of this song made me think of kids at a playground. You did a great job actually making it feel like a volcano.

Magma Dragoon is one of the only stage bosses in the series who affects the story of the game he's in
Lovely remix of Magma Dragoon's stage BGM, although I was expecting it to sound a little...louder. Still, great job.
There's that Power Rangers The Movie drum once again. I LOVE that drum beat. Also, this and Jet Stingray tie for second place on my favorite X4 tracks.

If Gemini Man could've been on Mega Man The Power Battle, then his theme would sound like this.
He was in Power Fighters, though. Not sure how different the instruments between the two games are, although I remember the sound quality being significantly worse while playing through Power Battle on the Annniversary Collection, as opposed to Power Fighters.
