I have an on and off desire to get this watch. Im just not sure I would pick it over the Longines Spirit as my next nice watch. It does look great on bracelet though. Wish I could see it in person!
So whats the catch with this watch with Alpina? The Alpiner looks amazing, has very credible and well respected Swiss watchmaking history mostly in the 1930s. It looks as if it can give steel sportswatch legends (AP Royal Oak, PP Nautilus, and VC Overseas) a good run for their money, never mind the lower tier - Zenith Defy, IWC Ingenieur. It looks a very well machined, finished, and put together piece, whats the catch here? Why is retail so cheap? Is it the Sellita movement and the trademark Alpina larger dimensions that turn folks off?
I had an Alpina seastrong a while back and really liked it. I’ve had a handful of Omega and still own a few, as well as a Zenith Defy (the ceramic skeleton). With AP/PP/VC, the gap in fit and finish on their cases and especially the movements is undoubtedly there between an Alpina level brand, not so much vs Zenith other than movement finishing. I genuinely don’t think their prices are justified though, so in that sense many will see these competitively priced brands as a good challenge. Modern Omega coaxial movements are very well finished and perform amazingly- that’s definitely where the money goes on those. But to be honest, the Alpina had better bezel action than my Seamaster NTTD and on par with my Planet Ocean. I think these current Alpina look great and I’m curious about adding another one, which is a strong nod to the brand considering some of the pieces I’m currently lucky enough to be enjoying.

Alpina is an amazing brand!
Beautiful watch! I have the older Steastrong 300 with the same movement. Its been a fantastic time keeper. ⌚
The watch looks great on your wrist, if you don't mind me asking, how big is your wrist?
Much better watch than the cw twelve, every youtuber seems to be hyping up..
I would agree! Alpina is an underrated brand and this watch should get more attention!

Who knows exactly why, but I love the price/quality ratio on this watch!

The model number you refer to is the blue dial. Isn't this the grey or black one?
can you change out the bracelet for a rubber one?
He doesn't know.
