This is the best episode in this series. Without a plan was so original. But this episode is like a late 90’s trance tune. It changes steps and direction with progression.

Amazing channel and content, reminds me of that Top Gear episode from Japan. I was so close to visiting it one point myself. I had experience with MoCap and in late 2015 I was in contact with Capcom about the facial likeness role of Leon for the Resident Evil 2 Remake. I failed to mention I also have a voice acting background, in the end I lost the part and I can't forgive myself for wasting such an opportunity to visit the place that inspired artists like Toriyama San. R.I.P. and movie like 'Akira' or 'Ghost in the Shell'.

USS Tokyo is THE biggest auction house in Japan. It doesn't run 24/7, but on auction day the auctions run from about 9am until 10 or 11pm at night. They run 8 auction lanes, so around 8 cars sold every 30 seconds for 13 or 14 hours. The volume they do there is just insane.
OH WOW! 3:22 A super clean 1st gen Integra! My first car I ever bought. So bummed I sold that car. I still have dreams about driving it, or misplacing it/ and spending the whole dream looking for it.

If you come to Australia, you can stay in my garage 3km from Sydney Motorsports Park! There's a couch in there and it's insulated and you can come and go as you please. Might be some grinder noise and welding sparks on the weekend but! Lol

Seeing all those AE86s going 110% and just drifting in the rain really makes me want to go over to mine and just abuse the hell out of it. The amount of fun you can have just beating up a stupid 80's Corolla is insane.

I think Irish people, New Zealanders and Australians are very similar....in terms of culture and humour. A lot of Australians actually have some form of Irish descent.
Cracking video lad, really enjoyed that. You're right about the prices, they are crushing the scene. All the cars getting bought up by people looking for trophies, who will most likely buy them to look at and not drive. The best thing that could happen now is for the arse to completely fall out of the market, I don't care if what I have is worthless, I have old Japanese shitboxes because I like driving them, that's what they're for. Everyone else that likes them should be able to enjoy them too. Oh and well ya tell Rob start making videos again! I miss his stuff 😉

I wouldn't mind Neil me and you both probably could of took out a wee loan out 10 years ago and bought a few gtrs but everyone would of told us we wer stupid. I wish I had a time machine, 😅
Prices gone through the roof in new zealand as well 10 year's ago anything skyline, evo, honda, silvia u could get for under 20k easy , evo 123s were only 10k skylines even cheaper 5k now thy are hard to obtain now going for 30k plus

My problem with the post Covid import scene is the fact you have two extremes tearing through the supply. One group will do anything to buy a 3000 GT, R34, Supra, or NSX spending 100-300k on the car and drive it to a car show or a car club meeting here and there and then sitting it in the garage to rot away. The other extreme are people that don’t have a lot of money and will buy the slightly less clean cars like a 240 SX, 90’s Honda, Celica, or EVO strip them and put a roll cage and play out the racer boy fantasy and destroy the car drifting in parking lots, modifying it past the point of return, and not being able to afford to maintain the car. It leaves the middle guys out that can’t quite afford the big boy cars but are also having trouble finding a clean evo, civic, or s chassis. It really sucks.
Is the middle guy a reseller? I don’t understand where you fall into this equation if you’re not the one doing the most damage to the hobby buying the decent chassis and reselling or parting out. If you’re not racing and you’re not into show cars than you leave yourself 1 choice and it’s the worst one
@@OPEK. no not a reseller, middle as in someone who is watching the supply of these cars split between wrecked slapped together junk and Porsche level cost mint examples I don’t want to spend 20-30,000 dollars for an eg or ek civic but everyone is burning through the decent examples turning them into stripped out race cars.

If Japan is concerned about losing the car culture there because other countries now want these awesome vehicles FROM Japan, there is, at least a TEMPORARY solve. The RC world ! It's MUCH easier to obtain the R.C. version of a REAL car than it is THE real FULL SIZE thing. There is LITERALLY a GIGANTIC community all over the place/s dedicated to THAT specific Hobby. It's possible to work on R.C. stuff for AS LONG as you Like and AS MUCH as you like. Again, this may be JUST A TEMPORARY solve until something better arrives.
