    Mine did that after a week of owning my new 23 raptor lol but I drive it everyday since I got it. I’ve seen where people had battery issues mine stays at 13-13.5 sometimes 14

    Great to see a new video of the Raptor!! looks great and makes sense if you tow like you obviously do. Any thoughts on maybe 37”s now? Any difference that you notice in ride since doing this as I’m considering just leveling mine? Instagram?

      Thanks!! I am considering 37s possibly in the future. I have the stock wheels/tires back on for winter, but my aftermarket set with the Mickey Thompson Baja Legend EXPs are just over 35" so they will look perfect (I think) with the small level/lift when I put them back on in the spring. I haven't driven far yet, but I can notice that the front is a little bit stiffer with the leveling kit on. Not a huge difference - I'll report back after I get some more miles on. No Instagram yet, but I should probably get on there and make an account to share pictures and such! Thanks for watching!!

    I thought adding 1.5 spacers in the front gets you level? But you added an inch in the rear?

    • @gearzgadgets5872
      @gearzgadgets5872  8 месяцев назад +1

      With the 1.5" in the front it was perfectly level. But, I didn't want it to be level. I prefer the back end to be a little higher than the front, so I added the 1" spacer in the rear.

    Question for you I too am towing with a good amount of tongue weight on my Gen 3 how do you like the airbags and what company and model number are they? Do you leave them in all the time if so are you noticing ride quality negatives . Thanks and I’ve enjoyed your channel.

      The air bags are great! They do a great job of preventing the sag when I am towing. I can keep the truck perfectly level with my 25ft camper. I run about 25psi in them when towing the camper, and more or less for other trailers depending on the weight. When I am not towing, I lower them down to 2-3psi, and they don't affect the ride really at all on the road. If I am going to do some serious off-roading, I do remove them but it is pretty simple to do. I jack the back end of the truck up by the hitch to spread the coil springs out and then pull the bags out between the coils of the spring. I can take them in or out in about 15mins. They are Air Lift 1000 brand and the part number is 60755. www.airliftcompany.com/shop/60755/

      @@gearzgadgets5872 Awesome thank you very much one more question did you try towing your trailer on tow hall I notice the suspension stiffens up a good bit I have not towed my trailer yet I can just feel that it stiffens up pretty good in the rear shocks. What did your mpg fall down to with towing your trailer? We had a tremor F-150, and I was able to achieve 10 miles to the gallon averaging 75 hoping for 8_9 mpg... thank you for your time

      @@fastfreddy2013 I do use tow/haul mode anytime I am towing. It does firm up the suspension, which I think helps it feel more stable since the Raptor is sprung so softly. The shift points are higher and the shifts are crisper as well. It also downshifts much sooner when slowing to aid in engine braking. My camper is right about 5,000lbs and I generally get in the neighborhood of 7-10mpg. Speed and wind direction make the biggest difference. Pulling the camper on a calm day at 60-65mph it runs around 9-10mpg. Bump it up to 70-75mph and typically 7-9mpg. Even a small head or tailwind makes a big difference though so it is a bit tough to compare. A 6-8mph tail or headwind will boost or drop the towing mpg by a measurable amount. I have also towed an open trailer loaded to about 8,000lbs and get the same mileage as when pulling my camper. The open trailer obviously catches way less wind, which seems to have a much larger effect on mpg than weight, in my experience. I also have a 2022 Expedition with the 3.5L EcoBoost and 3.73 gearing. It gets VERY similar mileage when towing. Last year, it honestly seemed like the Raptor did slightly better. We'll take a closer look this year.
      I am planning to do a few videos while towing with the Raptor and Expedition later this spring, so more to come!

    Great video! I have a 2022 raptor with the 37 package and I’m looking to buy a 1.5 inch collar lift for the front, my question is does it change the ride quality at all?

    • @gearzgadgets5872
      @gearzgadgets5872  Год назад +1

      I was concerned about this as well. For that reason, I bought the smallest collars available at 1.5". Even at that, it did stiffen up the front a little. The ride is slightly stiffer up front, but not hugely different. I would not want to go with any bigger collar than the 1.5".

    With the level/lift, did you notice any changes to the lane keeping or lane centering performance?

    • @gearzgadgets5872
      @gearzgadgets5872  Год назад

      No, I didn't notice any loss in performance of the lane keeping or lane centering, and I use those features almost all the time. A good reason to stick to 1-1.5" of lift/level in my opinion.
