  • In this Tackle Tuesday I go over my rod and reel arsenal. This was a highly requested video and kind of scary to think I have spent this much money on gear!!!! These are some of the spinning, baitcaster and conventional rod and reel combos I have collected over the years, that have helped me offshore, inshore, saltwater, freshwater, beach, shark, big game and other types of fishing. Florida has a diverse fishery and to catch em all, you gotta pay to play.

V, have to tell you i have two mint Newells a 20 lb class and one 60 lb high speed reels over twenty yrs old. Like the day they were unboxed. That twenty is great for casting to big tarpon and hell on everything else. The 60 fishes out of its class and both are hell for stout. Like you I have a Penn Jigmaster with 30 lb mono on that one. After the two newells i had to go back in time and get that jigmaster. Love it. Big southern stingrays and 60 lb bullnose rays don't. I hear the bullnose on my wall wine about whenever I walk by. Keep up the detailed work.

anybody with a serious hobby understands how it goes. It doesn't matter if it's fishing, cycling, watch collecting, photography, or whatever. Eventually, you make the effort to move more money into the hobby, and that amount will be different for everyone but it will work its way up.

Viktor personally id say even for the price the saragose SW models are worth it, more so than the BG! Yes its a bit more but they are far more water sealed, have better and more drag size for size and the 25000 holds 600m of PE 6 (0.41mm ish) which is insane, and most of all its Shimano!

I know that they manipulate what we see, but......The view shows flat as glass seas and yellow line, break away and comeback seconds later, the seas are rough and the line is blue. Keep it reel. This video makes me want to cry . I allowed a so called friends that was homeless and even though I lost my job and was almost homeless myself I let him stay with me and my family so he wasn't out in the cold. And while he was here he one by one stole each of my rod and reels out of my collection that i built up since i was 9 . Over 2 grand worth of stuff he probably only pawned for Penny's .. it killed me it absolutely broke my heart cause I'd never be able to replace the reels my father gave me and wasn't able to afford to replace the others . Even stole a little coffee grinder set up that was my son's... I should never have tried to help someone if there was any doubt if I could trust them.cause it's literally changed me for life I'll always be hurt over this .. ugh I'm sorry for venting. BUT I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS BRO THEY MAKE ME FEEL JUST LIKE I WAS THERE WITH YOU GETTING THAT HUGE BUZZ FROM A SINGING DRAG . KEEP IT UP.one day I pray that I can buy new equipment and get out there myself and try to raise my kids like i was,,, out on the water fishing!!

I watched one of your videos where you catch a goliath grouper with catfish at the end of Sebastian inlet pier. I am primarily a fresh water angler with the occasional surf fishing. Since I got my Mako Skiff I have been playing around the inlet. Since I saw your video I have been trying to find a 2 speed reel for a decent price since it wont be used that often. I need to land one of those bad boys!

4:59 I don't have a problem with AVET reels... Never had the opportunity to buy one (I never buy new) I have a problem with the morons who cannot afford an AVET, buy it, show it off and a couple months later they are trying to sell it... Yours is serving it's proper purpose!

Love your arsenal. The avet's and the BG's are great reels. I don't brag and I don't tell anyone to go out and buy everything expensive me on the other hand I love the best and I can say in my opinion after spending 6,000$. It wasn't always worth it and so cheaper things are better. Take it from me you don't need expensive.

Hey man, great videos. I just started watching your videos. I’m from Washington and I’ve been doing a lot of offshore sturgeon fishing down here. I recently just about got spooled by a monster sturgeon. I lost it after I was forced to tighten my drag all the way over and the fish still had a ton of fight in it breaking the line. Anyways, was a sad moment, but made me realize I needed to get a different reel that could hold a ton of line to let the fish run. What kind of reel would you recommend that I could buy that holds a ton of line, but not only that, I need to be able to bomb the weight and bait out in the river without massive rat nest. Would appreciate any help with this 🤙🏼

Or would it work out better with a certain kind.I'm in my sixties but want to by one as a Christmas gift for someone special that has a nice boat and goes fishing often .He lives east coast Wisconsin .

ive fish the shores there for years a Good steel head rod will cover anything lake Michigan has to offer,go to Cabelas ,i wouldn't hazard a guess on the reel as your friend may prefer a bait caster or a spin cast

That's going to be a very difficult purchase unless you fish with that person, understand fishing gear yourself, know something about the type of fishing, and have an idea of what might be a good tackle upgrade for that person. I would say a gift card for one of the big stores is a better gift. basspro, cabelas, Dicks.

The Tsunami surf rod... that rod broke in half. I don't know if I got the rod in faulty or not, but I definitely bought it brand-new from the company. It broke in half after I hooked on an 89inches sturgeon 😑. I still got the sturgeon onto shore with half of a pole. So ugh.... That some how worth it. SMH 🤦, after that I stopped buying rod from Tsunami.

I've heard really good things about Connley rods. How about that hook up you were talking about??? I'd really like a custom Connley rod.. Thanks!

Victor, i got a question for you. What length and power rod would you pair up with a brand new squall 15 multiplier reel. Also im fishing for bull redfish in the surf so what would u spool a penn squall reel braid, mono or a combo of both lines. Im a surf fisherman so any ideas would be appreciated.

Phenix rods are the best in the world for long term investment. We use rods still that are over 15 years old

rob lee... What are your thoughts on a Phenix Black Diamond 7 ft spinning rod rated 20-60 and a Saragosa 10k on it? Good for throwing spoolteks, flair hawks, and big live bait off bridges and passes for Huge snook and Tarpon??

hey the first star rod you showed(8ft), you said that was for lighter applications. I'm going to be doing some offshore kayak fishing soon and was looking at the star rod live bait 7 foot rods (15-30), do you think that will be good for kingish, sailfish, ect with my 6000 reel?
