Cool video on Pacific Surfliner Amtrak 587 very great quality service enjoy your trip to Los Angeles Union station be safe ❤god blessed you stay aware of your surroundings
would be nice if you could keep going past Albany and film the lake champlain views in that case, I mounted my phone to a suction up and filmed the southwest chief for close to 8 hours including stops.
@@nathanjiang100 I would be riding the southbound the way things are going to work out. How did you keep a charge so long? Did you use that electric outlet there?
@@nathanjiang100 I bought a power bank that is a little heavy in my pocket, but it has quite a wallup so it might help to get the daylight ride on the Adirondack. The crew seem pretty informal on the northern part of the journey.
I also use a suction mount so I don’t have to hold my arm up for long, if I stack my power bank on top usually I don’t have to stand back there much at all
My wife and I hope to do that next summer when we go to San Diego. I want to take a ride up to Fullerton and back for the day. What are the trains to and from Albany that I can get a rear view possibly. I may have to take the train from Plattsburgh to New York one day and I think that train might be possible.
@@3985uprr well you’re in luck because both Adirondacks have coach at the back although the Adirondack is currently suspended north of Saratoga. Other than that 290 south of Albany unless they wye the train there which unfortunately happened to me.
@@3985uprr I didn’t get a chance to fan Fullerton but in San Diego I got to check out the massive Tehachapi Pass layout and do a little Coaster and Amtrak fanning though due to track closures when I went, Amtrak service was limited.
well actually the cab car is at the front going north but they roped off the front half of the car for the crew so I couldn’t go up to film from that window.
You did the same video in the morning from Los Angeles to San Diego, filming out of the right side of the train. On this trip, you should have stayed on the right side to give the opposite scenery. And you wouldn't have had the sun in the shot.

@@CARailfanner he was certainly handing out the hornshows!
The ship is a Wasp class LHD. It lands Marines on the beach using aircraft and landing craft.
I plan on doing that when they resume service north of Saratoga

@@3985uprrfor side views yes, for rear views I have a power bank that I plug in when my phone is around 40% and take off around 80%

Do they shut down the train operations during the wild fires
@@mateomoreno6125 I’m not from the area so I’m not sure. Praying for everyone affected though.

i know, but you wouldn't have been able to see anything on the other side because it would just be tall cliffs.
@nathanjiang100 Only for a short stretch in San Clemente. And I would argue that a flat ocean washed out by the sun is just as boring as a cliff.
