This game is a reason why I love Porsche. Since this game I have never felt anything about any other manufacturer. And still listening to this amazing soundtrack. Jesus, this game is a legend.
This game taught me gaming.....but honestly this game teaches you how to push a car to its max potential while staying within the limits....that feeling of adrenaline when you drive the 1978 turbo 3.3 in evolution mode....or when the carrera RS just starts to overstear.....terrifying
The graphic was like watching some sort of impressionist painting. Modern games use a lot of power to make photorealistic backgrounds, but most of us will prefer something like Monet's Sunrise than a photo of Le Havre in which this picture was inspired from.
When this game appeared, it was the end of the world. like we never thought anything better can be done, ever. That was it. The carols playing in the village at the top of the alps, the woman sweeping the porch in Normandie, the fisherman village sounds in cote d'azur. To me, this is still the best video game ever made.
Here are some more for you: The bullet train at the Autobahn, men carrying crates off the ship/workers welding and hammering in the foundry at Zone Industrielle, and the person rocking on the porch in Normandie, next door to the sweeping person.
Amazing videos. Like you, I approached PU with mixed feelings, but the game fascinated me with its amazing themed tracks. Each car had its own character, I still remember trying to tame the early 911s. The factory driver missions were extremely difficult and unique - something you barely see in today's games. Compared with stuff EA put out today, I'd say this was and still is miles ahead.
u still remember playing thid game as a teenager......the serenity of the locations just struck a cord with me because i used to play this game all alone during winter months in my room.and i would play it to the level of exhaustion.i have very food memories relate dto this game bcz i really miss the time......
The best nsf for me. Favorite racing style game forever. After this game, I fell in love with a Porsche. The best soundtrack that has been on my playlist for 20 years. I replay it every year or two. That's what kind of game needs a remake. I love her.
these three words describe everything about this game! I don't think such good racing/driving game will ever be made... sad... however, I made this run on each PC I had since then, I'm even playing it these days, when I have the time! :)
I used to love this as a kid. Was driving with my steerig wheel, where I had buttoned so I could use indicators etc. Like real life! Loved the different routes, and if I remember correctly, the small car tuning and customisations that were available.
This game was a truly professional effort. Together with TNFS:SE, these are the only NFS games worth your time, if you are into quality software. Trust me...
I absolutely loved this game back in the day. I had a copy of this game, but my 150mhz Pentium couldnt run it properly, so I installed the game in my cousin's computer that had a Voodoo graphics card in it. So many good memories from simpler times!
I really enjoyed this, really cool. For me one of the best NFS allong with High Stakes and 2 SE. The level of detail on this was astoungind. Oh, and for me, the best car was the 993 Turbo with full upgrades and GT2 body, simply a beast. :)
I sure wish the game was updated to play nicer with modern operating systems. It would be so frustrating to have an evolution game ruined because I crashed to desktop and would have to redo the sections. Still, it was one of my first racing games and holds up very well to this day! ...given the game works
EA should really consider fixing incompatibility issues and publishing these old marvels (NFS 1 through 6) to Steam so that people have an easy and legal way of accessing them. Note, my experience is that at least NFS 3 through 5 with a bit of work (mainly google searching) can be made to run on a modern operating system. So there is no reason why EA couldn't just update the installer.
That would be the dream, wouldn't it? It would also give those that never grew up with these games a chance to experience them. But I don't think EA cares about the NFS legacy. If it did happen it'd be on Origin since EA stopped putting their games on Steam.
Nossa, como eu amo esse jogo!... meu favorito é o IV High Stakes mas esse tinha um lugar especial por ser Porsche rsrs... Pra mim , o Unleashed marca o fim da fase raiz da serie nfs. Triste
I just got this game in a language I dont speak for 25 dollars. Yep, thats what you put up with when something is really that good. Like that girlfriend that you love even thou she is not that good for you.
I was actually planning at one point to do the PS1 version since that had totally different tracks. Sadly I lost interest. I also wanted to do one for HP2. :(
Since this game came out Porsche has been very busy: The Cayenne, Carrera GT, Cayman, Panamera, 918 Spyder, Macan, Taycan, and of course many new 911 versions (and don´t get me started in motorsport). Some part of me wants a remake of this game but I´m afraid the modern EA would ruin it like everything they touch these days...

Anurag Bodhak Properly tuned Carrera RS in right hands can even outrun modern era cars
Beauty. Pure beauty. The art direction in this game was top notch.
Beautiful game, I love the graphics, still today.
Absolutely, to me the graphics aged well and it's still fun to play.
Me too!!

Why am I crying while reading this?

I still play this game and it's a time machine.. I go back in time...
Why can't I Like this video more than once...
Игра детства, прекрасные пейзажи, качественное освещение, в те времена умели делать качественно и красиво.
This game was ahead of its time. The tracks still look beautiful even today

NFS Porsche is my fav game ever, i love the tracks, each one is special and unique in its own way and the soundtracks are the best too!!!
I completely agree!

My favourite NFS game. Best soundtrack, best cars and memorable tracks without wacky jumps etc.

From 6:54 to 7:40 - breathtakingly beautiful level design for its time
wow! the best nfs pu clip ever Remind me the good memory Thanks a lot
Yeah... You've selected my fav songs from this game, shit. This music makes me think that the spirit of 90's is living again
It was never dead.
What memories! Played this when I was 10 and these games definitely shaped my sense of music and art. The video is amazing!

I remember how I was taking 944 and just driving wih traffic without opponents. I thought that this was future.
Thanks for the videos. What a memories 😭
You're welcome. Thanks for the comments.
This game is available in Jaipur
The love for Porsche that i read in the comments 🙌🏼 The golden era of NFS.
the best NFS game ever made !!
Awesome music
The most sim-like NFS ever. Got me into sim racing. Today I have Assetto Corsa mod collection that contains almost every car from that old NFS.
Same, playing R3E with RSR right now :)
The GT1 of the year 2000 is the best of all time. It's a hell of a charismatic car
This game was a truly professional effort. Together with TNFS:SE, these are the only NFS games worth your time, if you are into quality software. Trust me...
I agree, these are the two most realistic NFS games
Good times.

Criminally underrated videogame.
pc and PS1 Version had it own nice way of nfs5 style :D missing other brands hehe :D
4:33 winter area so nice and Rom`s song too :D
Amazing compilation. Could've recorded the clips in 1920x1080x32 as NFS5 supported that resolution.
Спасибо еа Геймс и тому кто придумал ролик записать
I still play this NFS
Nossa, como eu amo esse jogo!... meu favorito é o IV High Stakes mas esse tinha um lugar especial por ser Porsche rsrs... Pra mim , o Unleashed marca o fim da fase raiz da serie nfs. Triste
great job, keep it on plz!
Nice! To make it perfect you should name the tracks also as they appear..
Nostalgia.
What about doing a showcase on the main menu of this NFS?
When I did the menu vids I didn't have Porsche Unleashed at the time. I did have thoughts of doing one for this game but then I've already moved on.
@@MindlessMiles it would be really awesome if you make menu showcase with this one. You dont have this game anymore?
@@MindlessMiles it would be awesome too if you make menu showcase with other NFS games too. It Will be very nostalgic
Как давно это было первый класс прохождение игры
Rezidue...The Best

@@TomeeDee86 I appreciate the reply, but you're a bit late lol. I've put like 500 hours into the game between my last comment and now
Ooooow
