My Golf 8 GTI has VW’s Adaptive Cruise Control with IQ drive and it’s an incredibly clever piece of technology. Just a pity mine hasn’t worked since last year due to software issues that can’t be fixed without a new steering wheel, which has been on back order for over 9 months now……
I personally don’t trust it to brake automatically for me because obvious safety concerns but I’ll still use it too keep up with traffic in front of me
I Just rented a T-Rok with ACC, I couldn't choose the speed myself as the car kept changing it depending on the speed limits signs on road. Was driving in German motorways with roadworks, speed limits changing from 80 to 130 and back to 80 within few kms. It is literally jumping when goes from 80 to 130, absolutely out of control and feeling unsafe. How can I just choose the speed I want and keep it?
@@domino6434 @ciarlese Condescending comments like this won’t help anybody. I believe there is an option in the infotainment display to turn off adaptive cruise control ACC and use only „dumb” cruise control. Also using „dumb” cruise control is very safe as you can keep your foot on the brake pedal and decelerate very quickly. But as you said using ACC or any assists in roadworks is ill advised because of the non standard road markings.

Can you stop the dynamic signal recognition alerts. Or at least make them quieter.
