Not sure if you’d be interested in doing a video on how and what steps you took to become an nfl scout. It is an interest my stepson has, but I have no idea how that career path is even taken. I think it would be a very intriguing episode. Not something I think people know too much about. Love your videos Matt. Always super informative and definitely my favorite videos everyday.

I would like to see Darnell Washington catch a few more passes,he could wear down a defense the way najee does
As our new third rounder greatly put it, no block no rock. Has to be a good blocker before you send him the ball. Youd 100% rather have the ball in warrens, pickens or muths hands then Washingtons.

@@nickjackman3826 Erm, what? Washington is a better blocker than Muth, and Muth has better hands than Darnell (plus he's a better RAC guy). I have no idea what point you're trying to make.
I think T. Austin should be on the Hot seat if the Steelers aren't top 5 defense with the pickups we've had.

Initially it will be under center but smith has said that they need to get up to speed as quick as possible so they can expand this playbook.then you will be able to see the effect of this offense.
Hey Matt great breakdown splitting hairs but don’t sell Najee short on outside zone totally agree need to find balance between zone and power and I think Smith is a smart enough coach to figure that out
Hey Matt, weird request but I know you’re a stat geek. I have often wondered how our current roster stacks up against the O2 Buccaneers. Mid-level offense, high tier defense and so I’m thinking Tomlin be re-creating a glory team from his younger days.
Chandan Sullivan seemed effective in the slot last season.
I'm just excited to see play action used to throw the football downfield instead of to throw a dang screen!
Hey Matt. What are your thoughts as to why the Steelers are consistently predicted to be at the bottom, or near bottom of the division after going 5-1 in said division and making the playoffs? Who in the AFC North improved more than us? Could it be due to qb uncertainty? Strength of schedule? I'm baffled.
It's the returns of Burrows and Watson. Analysts are especially overestimating Watson's impact on the Division.
Strength of schedule favors Cincy, on paper.
Only played Lamar once since he rested in the last game of the season. Yes, the Steelers won vs LJ, but the WR dropped multiple TD passes.
They beat Watson too but it wasn’t looking good until Chubb’s injury.
And that’s it-all other games vs backup QB’s in the division.
They always just predict based on quarterback.

Matt I look forward to your videos every morning. I look forward to your show because I am also a bit of a numbers nerd and you really backup your opinions with stats. My question isn't just Steelers specific but does involve the team and its players. I would like to know how dead cap money works. We have Russell Wilson on a league minimum deal because Denver is paying him over 30 million this year. Next year they have over 30 million in dead cap to him. None of that is owed to the player. Where does that money go ?
Nowhere.
It's just the salary cap penalty applied to the Broncos, meaning that for the next year, the Broncos will have $30 million less that they're allowed to pay their entire team.
A 6ft 4 LB with 4.43 speed would help that slot some .

For Matt or Dk , if your Rooney whats your expectations for this team this year , with the moves made this offseason Pittsburgh quietly and quickly had a mini rebuild, So would a strong playoff push be realistic ? We need one more coach and his only job is to oversee replays. I'll do it and I guarantee I'll be better than Tomlin.
Without question they missed the train on getting a veteran solid WR1 or# 2 !!! But they can succeed as is and Hopefully KHAN will find a filler as discussed ad nasium !!! 😎
I think that McCormick is potentially a replacement for Daniels or Seumalo. I think that they offer a contract to Daniels. Obviously it’s up to him to take it or not. If we resign Daniels, I can see them trying to trade Seumalo who is a very good guard who is getting a little too old for their liking.

The broncos are done paying him after this year.
