This is a great start Dima!! As 56 YO white belt (2.5 years training) I'd like to know how older athletes should approach training and mainly to minimise/mitigate injuries.
Rest is as important as training, especially as we get older. I wouldn’t train live more than 2-4 times per week, and I would make every session count. Quality is much more important than quantity in your case.
Thanks Dima! You are a legend. I have a Q - Is there a particular style / set of skills or guards / physical capabilities that protect the BJJ practitioner from injury more than other options? Especially in terms of injuries like ACL and LCL injury that require surgery to repair.
don't spazz if you don't understand your position (especially with leg entanglements...), learn to be more relaxed (nothing should happen if you tap early *and* have decent training partners)
Thank you for the content. I would be curious about how you train heart rate conditioning. This is something I'm still working competing in 5 minutes GI matches.
Question: have you ever considered using mind maps to structure out your systems for your athletes. A bit like the process described here for more context: ruclips.net/video/3NIFEDYnWgU/видео.htmlsi=inq3_cb9KbN4fZ7-
Doing a breakdown on the kade vs levi would be excellent !
Dima after sleep and rest!! Big congratulations on your success with Bteam!!

You should definitely look into the science of skill acquisition. I think it's a really important part of professionalism in jiujitsu

Do you still train mainly out of BJJ Academie? I am planning on coming to Berlin next year possibly. Hope to see you there Coach Dima.
How do you structure your classes?
Its posible train jiu jitsu in home with a patner, only with youtube thenique videos? Or is to much risky for injuries ? Thanks
Dima, I think you have earned the right to unbutton 3 buttons on your shirt.
