Hungary is so underrated in ESC
..it came 5th
This song came 5th, which is Hungary's second-best result ever (their 4th-placing 1994 debut is still their most successful). Hungary was also in the lead up until Conchita overtook them.

Olyan jó olvasni,hogy rengetegen nekünk szánják az 1. helyet.:) Tényleg a miénk volt az egyik legjobb dal.:) De olyan jó érzés,hogy végre elismerik a magyarokat. András volt az eddigi legjobb magyar fellépő ezen a versenyen. Ha rajtam múlna jövőre is őt küldeném az Euróvízióra. Talán még meg is nyernénk.

A szakállas csávó-csaj izén való felháborodás helyett inkább foglalkozzunk már azzal hogy ez a srác itt elért egy 5. helyet és nagyon szép teljesítményt hozott. Büszkére kell lenni rá. ennyi
Mindenki azért háborodik fel,mert nem volt tisztességes így ez a "verseny". Nem az osztrákoknak kellett volna nyernie,hanem nekünk. És ezt a többség állítja,nem azért mondom,mert magyar vagyok. Ez volt a legjobb dal. Nagyon sokak szerint nekünk kellett volna nyernünk. De nem így lett,mert sajnos többre értékelték a "megjelenést" a hangnál. Valljuk be ennek a "lénynek" (bocsánat már nem tudok rá mit mondani) nincs olyan j hangja,mint Andrásnak. Viszont az 5. hely tényleg nagyon szép eredmény.:) Szerintem eddig András volt a legjobb fellépő az Euróvízión.

Lili Horváth Ez ki is derült az online szavazáson, ahol a legjobb dal, és a legjobb előadó is ő lett. Ráadásul előadóként jelentős fölénnyel nyert.
Igaz, hogy nagyon szép eredmény ez Andrástól, bár én azon voltam meglepődve, hogy külföldi videósoknak, akik ezeket az összehasonlító videókat csinálják, azoknak Alex dala jobban tetszett, mint Andrásé, amin fel voltam háborodva, hiszen Alex dala csak egy zenés vers. Rémfrász (én így hívom Conchitát) meg nem érdemelte meg a győzelmet :(

This song that grew on me the most in Eurovision
Im still struggling to believe how on earth this got 5th place. This song was the real winner all along and even though im not from Hungary, im proud of him for being brave enough to go out there, and put out a message that needed to be said. I honestly do believe if Conchita never had the "beard", then he...she...erm....wouldnt have won. Well done Hungary!

I tell you why, people who basically can't handle what its about, its too uncomfortable for them, people who like to live in the bliss of ignorance, very simply. Too many like to ignore suffering, so long as they're ok, that is all they care about.

one of the most emotionally powerful performances I've seen Eurovison song contest and of course I voted for him... Keep coming back to see it every so often, really great song and a winner to me !
The song is excellent, but why is no one mentioning the amazing choreography?! It perfectly represents physical and emotional abuse - how she pleads for the abuser but simultaneously tries to protect herself by hiding and shielding herself. All done in dancing.
It fits perfectly with the lyrics as well. He originally wrote the song for a friend who had been suffering from abuse, and at the end, when András pushes away the abuser and protects the girl, it could be seen as him saying to his friend that she's not alone and he'll be there for her.

Forever my favourite Hungarian contestant (alongside NOX). I was sitting on a chair in the kitchen, watching our national show where we choose the lucky song every year. He didn't even reach the second half of the song when I said 'he's going, I'm sure'.

Thank goodness for the juries. They valued this showstopper and guaranteed it a top-5 placing. The televoting result was not as kind. Before the voting, I really thought (and hoped) that this would be the winner. Hungary would've truly deserved it.
this song easily had the best yet saddest message of eurovision 2014, i hope that the friend he wrote this about is doing better now and is in a happier place.

Kállay-Saunders was simply amazing, in the semi-final he didn't sing it so nice than he did that in the Final. It was perfect, every voice was on their right place.
He sang that as in the studio version, just beautiful. He had charisma and he blew up the stage too!
For me, this was the best song in the contest, but fifth place is a big achievement from a small country like Hungary, so András: amazing! Proud of You! :)

I was blessed to have 2 caring and sweet parents, so it's not like this song hits a spot in me or something, but every single time I listen to it, I just cry... All these descriptions... All this pain in his voice...
Today I flew from Copenhagen with his dad Fernando Saunders. A lovely gentleman, collaborated with some big names like Eric Clapton or Jan Hammer.

Visually one of the greatest performances of 2014. Everything fits here. The singer, the lyrics, the story, the "masked" man and the girl. And look at that amazing camerawork and stage. WELL DONE :)

Hands down this song should have won Eurovision this year. If Europe wanted to pass a message this would have been the way to go... domestic violence - very, very important. So many children and women's lives affected by it. Also brilliant song, brilliant voice and performance. Well done Hungary!

This is a perfect example of a country that (in recent years) usually sends songs in their own language can also do well with an English song.
I never realised how good visual effects were for this performance. Definitely deserved it's good placing
