  • We usually mix a lot of glass paint: contrary to what you read in many books, this is an excellent way to work, because you have the opportunity to really get to know your paint.
But sometimes a small quantity is what you really want. For instance, you might want to test the paint. Or you might not plan to use this paint again for many months. Or it really is too hot where you work to mix a big "lump" of glass paint the way we recommend.
That's why we filmed this video: to show you how we mix a small quantity of glass paint.
The video has 3 parts to it.
In part 1, you see how not to do it. This is also the way you read about in many books.
In part 2, you see the way we do it - yes, this takes a lot of time, but it's time well-spent, because your paint is so important.
And in part 3, an experiment: you see if the paint is still moist 5 days later.
Please note: we're showing you what works for us in our studio. As with most techniques, you'll probably need to make adjustments here and there to adapt this method to your own requirements.
Lots more on our blog at www.glasspaint... and also in our book, The Glass Painter's Method.
