The logic of putting Quran and Sunnah first, this is of Tawhid, if you don't have this logic you dont have any...
When he said philosophers speak sp much and say so little it says it all, the sunnah is to be concise, this is enough to refute kalam batil, even if they weren't ignorant their method would frustrate themselves to the point of compromise the din...

Our Salafī brothers accuse the Ashāʿirah that their methodology of understanding Allāh’s certain attributes is against the pious Salaf and has been taken from Greek philosophy. This is incorrect and a slander. The Ashāʿirah’s method is in line with the Salaf and sound reasoning. Take this one example, amongst the many, which clearly demonstrates their valid methodology: Allāh says in the Quran: Everything will perish except His ‘Wajh’ (Sūrah Al-Qaṣas). If one takes the literal meaning of ‘wajh’, which is ‘face’, this will mean that everything will perish except for Allāh’s face. So the question is: can those literalist, who establish two hands, two eyes, etc., for Allāh suggest that the meaning of this verse is that His face will only remain after everything else perishes? And Allāh’s refuge is sought!
This is why Imām al-Bukhārī (yes, Imām al-Bukhārī) in his Ṣaḥīḥ compilation interpreted the ‘wajh’ of Allāh as 'ملكه' (His kingdom). Imām al-Bukhārī understood that the literal meaning of these words is not intended as it anthropomorphises Allāh, which is against His majesty, His absolute transcendence and contradicts the unambiguous verses like ‘There is nothing like Him’. In addition, there isn’t a single authentic report that the Salaf translated these words into the English language.
Ashāʿirah preserved the creed of the Salaf just as Imām al-Bukhārī, and the Ḥadīth scholars, preserved the Ḥadīth from the Salaf.
      #Ashāʿirah&Māturīdiyyah
The truth of the matter is that the framework of dialectical theology (ʿilm al-kalām) expounded by the notable Ashāʿirah & Māturīdiyyah is the solution to the theological challenges we face here in the West by atheists and others.
A literalist, who is devoid from sound reason & contextualisation of revelatory evidences, cannot coherently explain why he believes that Allāh is on the throne with His essence and, at the same time, descends to the sky in the latter portion of the night - not forgetting that every moment it is the latter portion of the night somewhere in the world!
How can Allāh always be on His throne with His essence and simultaneously be in the heavens? And Allāh’s refuge is sought from such obfuscations!
In addition, those who advocate that Allāh literally descends with His essence to the sky of the earth are justifying the creed of ‘Ḥulūl’; that is to say that God dwelled in His creation. This is the Christian doctrine that God dwelled in Jesus and the doctrine of all those who believe in a human deity. The disbelievers will ask: According to these Muslims, if God can dwell in the sky, which is His creation, why can’t He dwell in another human which is also His creation? والعياذ بالله
Thus, the creed of Ahl as-Sunnah is that Allāh is free of place, space and direction. ‘Allāh is the Creator of everything’ (Quran). ‘Allāh existed and nothing apart from Him (including place, space, direction, sky, etc) existed’ (Bukhārī).
Don’t let the literalist tell you that you shouldn’t use your reason and intellect. Allāh says: ‘Will you not use (your) reason (ʿaql)?’ (Quran).
Using our reason and intellect to understand revelation is part of our religion. As Imām Al-Ghazālī says in his Al-Iqtiṣād , a blind person cannot appreciate the light of the sun; likewise, one who is devoid from sound reason cannot understand revelation.

I was discussing with you in another comment, but the entire discussion got removed or deleted I think, Allah knows best.
I responded with something like, "life" itself doesn't necessitate any limbs especially God's living, that reasoning is like saying knowledge necessitates a brain or God needs oxygen for His independent life just cause the creation do, but that is contradictory as God is independent. Your argument of, "cause creation needs therefore creator needs" is patently false of course. Knowledge on its own or Gods perfect knowledge obviously doesn't necessitate a brain, Nor does God - the exalted - need oxygen for His living obviously as *He's completely independent and is distinct from creation entirely* . Furthermore, the problem as you are falsely conflating, isn't with the *qualitative attributes* such as, life, knowledge, seeing, hearing, power, will etc. as none of these bring eyes, limbs, anything composite or anything anthropomorphic to the mind or liken God to creation, this isn't a proper analogy compared to when you take "aboveness" literally or "yad" literally/the false outward meanings that then necessitates a sort of limb and likening God - the Exalted - to Humans or creation.
(*the following is taken from a book ) The premise here is that the qualitative attributes and the expressions and ascriptions mentioned in the ambiguous texts are equal. This premise is flawed as we shall demonstrate. The distinction between the expressions that indicate corporeal bodies and those that indicate qualitative meanings is vast. The first thing that comes to mind when the former is heard is a limb and body- for which the terms were coined. When those expressions are ascribed to Allah, the exalted, the one who knows Allah clearly and incontrovertibly knows that the outward and primary meanings are impossible and are negated from Allah, the exalted, and that the context of the words indicates a metaphor or figurative speech, This is like the expressions hand, finger, foot, shin, face, laughter, rising descent, and other expressions that, in their literal sense that first appears to the mind , refer to sensory objects. as for the latter The Qualitative attributes, they refer to a meaning, such as power, will, hearing, seeing, and so on. There is no implication of resemblance for the one who understands them in their outward and literal sense, because they are meanings and realties that befit Allah, the exalted, and and when they are ascribed to the creation, they have realities fitting for them. For this reason, the scholars of the Umma were not obliged to disregard their outward meanings. Strengthening this view is the fact that is is not reported from any of the pious predecessors - may God be pleased with them - that they said regarding the *qualitative attributes* "pass it along without "how"" or "pass it along without explanation," and so on. This was due to there awareness of the distinction between the two types of expressions (end of book passage).
Moreover, we don't reject what God - the Exalted - ascribed for Himself, 'ala arsh or yadan, as is falsely attributed to Us. We just reject the literal/the impossible outward meanings for the expressions that aren't qualitative, but the ones that indicate corporeal expression which entail limbs or deficiencies and anthropomorphism and God - the Exalted - said: "there is nothing like unto Him" "nothing is comparable to Him".
Look at aqidah tahawiyyah, which pretty much the entire ummah is accepting of, which negates limbs, limits, directions etc. for God. Here is just to give one quote from the venerable scholars and salaf - may God have mercy on them:
And consider this statement from Imam Ahmed - may God be pleased with Him - that was recorded in His tabaqat al- Hanabila (2:291): Indeed, Allah, the exalted, possess "two hands" and both are an attribute of His in His essence. They are not physical limbs; they are not composite; they are not corporeal or from the genus of corporeal bodies; they are not from the the genus of that which is limited and composite or (the genus) of parts of limbs. Analogy is not to be made with them; He does not posses a wrist or forearm; nor that which is implied when they (people) apply their statement "hand" except what is articulated in the holy Quran or authentically reported from the messenger of Allah peace be upon Him in the sunna regarding it."
      - Here we see that Imam Ahmed - may God be pleased with Him - negated everything that was linked to false outward meanings, such as physical limb, parts, compositeness, and so one. He clarified that further with his statement "...nor that which is implied when they (people) apply their statement "hand."") What this means is that all of the aforementioned meanings that apply to the word "hand," such as it being physical limb and body, are negated from our lord - the exalted.
"The logic of putting Quran and Sunnah first, this is of Tawhid, if you don't have this logic you dont have any...
When he said philosophers speak sp much and say so little it says it all, the sunnah is to be concise, this is enough to refute kalam batil, even if they weren't ignorant their method would frustrate themselves to the point of compromise the din"
Not sure where din is ever compromised, and your first claim is like saying a non muslim cant be logical. Also Allah says "will you not reason", many a times we use reason and logic to understand scripture, revelation and to come to the realisation of a creator of this universe who is one... Not sure where you demonstrated "kalam" is batil, I'm certain you barely know what it means. Furthermore, just look at the contributions from ones who used "ilm al kalam" and wholly accepted it , a few examples imam nawawi, ibn hajar, Imam ghazali, imam Juwayni, imam suyuti imam, qurtubi the mufassir, by God, this is just barley scratching the surface. I'm guessing according to you and your cult these venerable giants were all extremely misguided and "like pharoah" in this regard. We seek refuge in God - the exalted - from that.

So we should accept him as salafi because if he goes against the salaf that is only due to misunderstanding or a mistake not because he doesnt want to follow a manhaj. Thats why there is a difference between a mubtadia or a sahib al biddah. A person might be salafi but sahib al biddah. It can happen. Thats why I agree that unless a scholar is passing a judgement laymen or students of knowledge should not go manhaj checking. It was general statement by Sheikh Uthman. His point was that he probably clarified enough so people shouldnt check him.
