But that 31 question incorrect but still 169 marks... u didn't seem to have a info regarding marking scheme. +5: for 1 correct question -1: for one wrong answer 0: for not attempting a question (Note: Here a question is worth 5 marks each, if there is an incorrect answer then the student will lose that 5 marks of the question with that -1 mark as a penalty as well. So total marks lost here= -6 for incorrect answer.) *EACH QUESTIONIS WORTH OF 5 MARKS, IF U R CORRECT U GET 5 MARKS, IF U R INCORRECT U LOSE THAT 5 MARKS AND AS A PENALTY 1 MORE MARK IS DEDUCTED, IF U DIDNT ATTEMPT A QUESTION U GET ONLY 5 MARKS DEDUCTED WITH NO EXTRA PENALTY.* Pin Me if I was helpful.😊

Hey! So sorry to hear about what happened with you, I know that NTA has made these circumstances that nearly everyone is sad about their marks and normalisation, But normalisation as a process is something which is really difficult to understand, It took me months too :) So what they do is they Calculate the raw score of all the children of a single shift, date and subject, and then on the base of raw scores they decide the difficulty level of the exam. Now according to them its a proper way of doing so but the thing is if many people score good marks then the exam is considered to be easy and marks are highly deducted (Happened to me too :( My raw score was 753 and after normalisation it was 705). And then vice-versa, my cousin's marks were increased by 3 marks and my classmate's marks were increased by 40 marks, So there's pretty much nnothing we can do about it all we could have done was study and we did that, It does not depend on how much we study It literally depends on how other students study in Cuet as well as DU CSAS. I know its impossible to explain normalistion to everyone who asks you about your college but Its ok bro.........Its life don't worry if you did not get something means that God has something better than that for you, By the way i got admission in Shaheed Bhagat Singh College at 705 marks General Category BA Prog. I really agree with your quota wala part .Even after getting good marks we are not getting good colleges whereas students with sc/st/obc quota ,they got much better college than me with very less marks .i absolutely hate this system but can't do anything about it!!the actual need of normalisation is still not understood ,there is no cutoff system in du we don't even know if we got the deserving college or not🥲
DU has really failed students specially for general candidates, people who deserve good colleges haven't got even a single one , there is so much injustice in front of everyone for such hardworking students. But hey, just want you to recall every hardship you’ve faced in life - jitni bhi badi ya choti ho - how you felt that you may never be able to get out of it, and THEN how you overcame it gracefully. Ye bhi samay hai, nikal jaayega. And sahi boloon, although a “good” college might give you a head start in your career, your peer group and your package etc, but at the end of the day, the thing that matters most is your hard work and dedication towards what you do. Aur ek baat bataaoon, from personal experience, clichéd hai, but jo hota hai na, jitna bhi bura ho, ek reason ke liye hota hai. Not sure which religion or God you believe in, but at least have faith in the universe ke it will guide you towards your true purpose. (Ik thoda zyaada philosophical ho gaya from someone you have never met and probably never will, but your straightforwardness in stating the right thing and not being afraid of it, and the conviction with which you said it, instantly reminded me of an old friend who is going through something similar.) I hope you get an upgrade towards your desired college+course, and even if you don’t, I’m sure you’ll do well. Keep shining ✨
I wanted to rant about the same , I got 91%(yep didn't actually studied during boards) but after that I worked hard for cuet so I got 740 which got normalised into 704 and there were many minor reasons too which contributed to my low marks 1. My biometrics weren't update , my adhar card was made when I was 6-7 and it had to be update and I didn't knew about it , so during all 3 days of my cuet exam after all the candidates started answering their paper I had to wait for 10 min and after getting to my seat and after login the invigilator would come up to me and give me a paper to fill my info took approx 10 min each, they were like idc if you are not able to complete the paper , first fill the info so in my accountancy ,english , and IP exam I wasted 10 mins filling up the form and so , I had only 50 min each subject not 1 hr) 2. Anxiety (at first when my biometrics were not matching there were saying stuff like you would not be able to give your cuet exams , it will be cancelled for you and I swear I though all my hard work would go to waste and I contributed to more tension +overthinking) 3 . Normalisation (ofcourse) 4. I didn't opted for any coaching/institutions(I should have) 5. I should have started my preparation earlier 6.The center which I had didn't had enough rough seat (during my accountancy exam , after wasting 10 mins filling the form I asked them for a rough sheet they were like, complete the paper first then during the next paper i.e. bst we will give you one like bro- what ) That's how it was I didn't got a decent college trying to get over it hopefully I would come back stronger and get a good MBA college and placements I will work hard that's the only thing I can do

It's really so well to know that there is someone who is talking about all these I just want to say right from the form filling till you get admission in du college is a hectic process especially for someone who has no guidance even though internet helps us very much but the thing is in each process there was a problem like reaching exam center and suddenly finding either exam cancellation or change in center then during examination lack of timing in domain then the mistakes in answer key and even after challenging getting wrong answer no matter what your raw score is 80% of students faced deduction in their normalised score which is even not relaxing as it will be said low cutoff and all lol even 20% of students whose marks not get deducted are sufficient to fill seats in our dream college so at last the process may seems to be very clear but practically it's implementation is actually depressing for students . NTA must set criteria for normalisation as this all seems to be injustice 😢😢

For everyone who is wondering why they don’t get any college DU…. My score in cuet was 536 /800 general category and I filled 200 preference in csas portal round 2 In first round i got shyama prashad mukherji college course- geo + hindi and it was my 79th preference because I don’t like the course so I upgraded in second round I got bhagini nivedita college course- pol + computer application in which the course was good but the college was not good at all… and it was my 50th preference 😭 you can’t believe mene jab preference banayi thi mene sirf 1 se lekr 40 tak hi preferred course + college soch ke banayi thi baaki sab mene preference bharne ke liye add kardiya tha but my luck muje ek bhi round mein mera preferred course + college nahi mila although I wanted off campus colleges but not bhagini nivedita jitna off campus kyuki uss college tak metro tak nahi jaati🙂 ulta muje upgrade karne ke liye sabse pehle fees deni padrii hai 🥲 moral of the story yeh hai ki koi banda khush hai hi nahi jisko college mila voh bhi jisse nahi mila voh bhi…. Just because I filled 200 preference issi reason ke wajhse muje allot hua college… or jinke bhi 600 650 marks aaye hai unn sab bacho ne ek common mistake kari hai preference kam bharke like 60 70 preference only…..or sirf top notch colleges ko upper rakh ke preference list mein🤦🏾♀️… or guys ab or time na waste karke have some backup options….all the best🤞🏽

I got 362 marks our of 600 ..but still got no colleges because of I'm from general category....I still remember I had to travel more than 300km for cuet exam centre...and that particular day I didn't just take rest for 24 hours . Also the weather condition was so bad that day..I'm now fully disgusted by this exam process. In my advice if you are from general category then pls don't waste your time in du
Each and every words of yours is on point .. as i am also from commerce with maths.. i can totally relate you. As a general category i realised that DU is not for us. I got 601 in my cuet and still not get any of the clg. From preparing for cuet to waiting for the Du cutoff, i can't explain what i am going through.. it sucks💔
I scored 93% in State board and 766.5 in CUET. I am alloted Ramjas College, BCom(h). I completely agree with you about the quota issue. Just imagine 50% of the students being less comptent. About the normalization and how it is notin our control, just imagine what if there was no normalization? Some students would get easy paper some would get incredibly tough. Even then luck plays role & you become powerless. I think the process of Normalization works but definitely not perfectly well.
Hello , I am from general category and I scored 670 and after normalisation it went down to 550 and du didn't allocate me any College not even ba programs
1:45 Actually Delhi university dont decrease marks, it is NTA (conducting CUET) reducing marks on the name of normalization. I got your point you want NTA to increase marks for those who got difficult shift And dont want to reduce the marks during normalization for those who got difficult shift You are somehow correct.
Hey I completely understand what you're going through. I scored 90% in class 12th and being from isc boards I had no clue about how to deal with ncerts but still right after giving my boards i started preparing cuet. In just two months I completed 8 ncert books. Got chicken pox a day before my last two papers but still gave my exam. I got 600/800 which actually seems very unfair as compared to what i actually got in my raw scored. I wanted political science hons. I did get the course but in Sri Aurobindo. Now I have no option other than taking a drop. It feels miserable but this whole cuet and csas thing is very unfair and biased.

i totally agree with you just one thing that i wanted to point out is that if you got 169/200 marks that doesnt mean that u got 31 questions wrong. since the marking scheme says -1 for every wrong answer and +5 for every right answer so a total 6 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer

I wish I could curl up into a ball and forget about everything, but I know that's not the answer. I need to find a way to deal with my emotions and overcome this sh*t. General category kids have to suffer all this.. and people with a quota scoring 500+ are getting into top-notch colleges of DU. NEVER THOUGHT LIFE WILL BE THIS MUCH UNFAIR TO ME.. like personally saying this to you bro I cry every night thinking about all this and can't even say all this to anyone because I don't have any friends to share all this... No body would accept it now, but my answers in response sheet weren't same as what I marked.. Like I got 4 questions incorrect in total which makes my raw score 776....2 of them were I answered correct my response sheet had some error I could swear on that... I sort of mailed them a couple of times.. Tweeted and stuff.. But no body listened.... SRCC cut off were around 782 last year... I still had hopes from normalisation that maybe anyhow my marks would just increase by 4-5 and that's it...but the results came.... And how could you even expect anything... It changed my score to 760 for Bcom h..... And for eco h.. From 770 to 740...i know not to the level other people faced.... But it took off my dream... I genuinely did all I could...... This system is so shit that there might be just a difference of 1 or 2 questions between me and SRite... Now the category hits..... The score I got is decent if you belong to like any category... I would have got what I wanted..... IF PEOPLE GENUINELY WANT TO PROMOTE EQUALITY... THEN JUST FIX SAME CUT OFF FOR EVERYONE.... I had these huge expectations of telling all my teachers that I got north campus and all and tell them it was all their hard work and grind that they put in for me... But I'm just sitting in Sbsc. And I know it's a great college and all. But it wasn't my aim.... For which I gave my 2 years where I could have been aloof like all my other classmates thinking that I'll be rewarded for the same. But it's a cruel world I guess.... Hope to meet you someday in Delhi.... And share this pain even more... Until then, this is our life and I goddamn know I am gonna be the best graduate Sbsc ever seen..... With the best resume when I go in for the placements
The thing is that the system is very new so people are thinking it in a negative way. Just imagine about the engineers, doctors, lawyers and all they basically prepare for their entrance test to the best . So this CUET system is the best to test a students overall performance. Our system is approaching in a holistic way rather than focusing on rote learning. Don't underestimate yourself because you've got a brighter future. It's not about quota its about your mindset. Those getting seat via quota have to fight for that 1/2 seat for the program he/she wants to study. Think in a positive way about the system and about everything then you can excel in life!

Hey....i can understand... although am an ews category student.. but actually i find ews a reasonable reservation... Because Its not so easy to be raised in a family....where you can't even access...basic necessities right?? Ews...is for poor people ...for the children of parents who didn't earn much one way or other....so that their children don't....fall back in life because of less education or things like that...ughh but am fortunate enough that being not even moderately rich... my parents gave their all for me and my brother....he is in dtu and I...got 97.2 % in boards.... topper of my school. Still i could not get admission in DU because of wrong subject combination....!! You know why? Because I didn't had much people to guide me and i took subjects of my interest in cuet domain rather than my 12th subjects....such a fool i was... now I am a dropper because am outside delhi and cant afford to live there ....unless i really have a reallyyyy nice college...I feel extremely sorry for you... My score was also deducted by 60 marks.... its..698 now and I can completely relate to you on this shitty machenism of normalisation ....so sorry for you. I got 620 marks but no college was alloted I want to take drop but still I am not sure that will I get good clg we general students have to score above 760 to get north campus and many my friends got alloted seats in 300 marks if there so much reservation why don't you increase the no. Of seats of general students IN Schools we say every child is special but when it comes to clges only sc st obc children are special and it is assumed that all general students are very rich and topper even if I score 750 something maybe in normalisation my marks will deduct and as we know general and male students will get nothing in 600+ marks sc st students will SRCC in 580

Normalisation is unfair if govt want cuet will be common for all universities then they have to organised in one day in one shift Normalisation is not solution. And cuet should be ruled out and admission on the basis of marks in 12th

I also got 164 in Pol Science that deducted in normalisation i.e. even to 144 😥 In board exam I got 98 marks in Pol Science but how hard my paper was I can't tell also I am a dropper for the first time I got KMC but my Dream clg was Hindu/Stephen and with this dream I decided to give the exam again bcz that time my exam held in last phase that was the toughest phase also normalisation cut down my marks and made myself at worst condition....also I got 188 marks last time in Pol Science and 13 marks deducted by nta on the name of Normalisation 😢😢😢 what here conclusion came that In Board- Pol -98 CUET 1st time 188 and 2nd time after that much hard work and reading books again and again I got 164 and after Normalisation 144😭😭😭 Also when I am talking of Economics - Board- 89/100 And CUET first time I just got only 108😭 and second time 185/200 what is happening with me... Geography in class 12- 97/100 CUET in 2022- 152 and deducted in Normalisation finally got 144😭😭 And this time after one more year of hard work I got 197/200 This is the reality of CUET 😢😢 Guys plz kisi clg ke sath emotions mat jodna Jab tak aisi nakamayab Agency rhegi tab Tak bachhe ghut ghut kar marenge😢😢

Quota ki jai ho bhai fr, mere marks se 100-150 marks km wale bache are literally getting north campus for biology courses, and here is me, not having a single allotment even after 2 rounds. I got a raw score of 710 and nta normalized it to 650...my friend who was giving the exam in the same shift got a raw score of 700 and in normalization his 10 marks were increased he is now in kMC😢...
I agree with you bro it is very devastating i myself am from karnataka where there are so many categories which are not even required and they are getting the legit benefit of it and we general category people highly perish because of this . i gave my neet 2023 and i got 543 but the one with categories who haven't even score good are getting better seats than me i am so devastated with that and it is really very frustrating
My sister lost 78 marks overall and 45 marks in just history due to normalisation her raw score was 716 and it dropped to 638 she got an off campus college. I also lost 40 marks overall in normalisation. Don't know what was the basis of normalisation.
I didn't even got any college in DU, not even BHU... and my friend who were in other category got good colleges in south campus of DU 😔😔 now I am getting into some private colleges

You did not write 31 wrong in gst. You are reducing 1 mark and adding 5 marks for wrong answer. Instead reduce six marks for wrong answer...you will get right picture.

You're not alone dear. Even I had to go through the same shit , cried every minutes , every hours as I couldn't process the fact that my raw score of 720 got reduced to 655 after normalisation. Didn't get a good college ,so I'm taking a partial drop this time but definitely didn't give up. I'd keep my raw score a pure 800/800 next time ,so that even normalisation would not be able to affect me anymore.

I genuinely feel like consoling you...but I am physically very far away... well.. my situations are also similar..99% in 12th- humanities. Learning history was my passion and I found that du is the best place in the country to do it. Started cuet preparation in the beginning of 12th. But where I am after 1 year after that..dreamed of walking in the varandas of St Stephen's..... now got Aryabhatta clg, I know its not too bad.But when people who have way lower marks and got into north...its hurting as hell .... Raw score was like 720 and nta made it to 695. I didn't complain becoz...its their exam so they did whtever they can..... But whatsoever,I am fully f**ked up....

The government should change the rules of reservation , They should only fix the seat ,and decrease the fee for them instead of decreasing the cutoff. well i am a second year student , also stuck in Pgdav with 94 percent in 12th grade & 672 CUET scores and had same scenario no upgrade in second round ..I felt it was so unfair that i couldn't get even south campus top ones but i did a severe mistake of putting pgdav before jmc & maitreyi ... Ik what you must be feeling .. But just for now accept this thing cause if you won't then it's only gonna be a frustrating journey .. A college can't decide our future [ ik a senior who made it to top buisness school from our college] So there's still hope okii ! and you can meet me in college if ever want to discuss on same.
This situation exactly matches to my younger brother. They deducted his 210 marks in normalisation. He got only 542 in score card. And he didn't get any college. So I can feel your pain.

I went through the comments and i appreciate how you accepted your mistake on the marks thing. Cuet is such a crappy way to conduct an entrance exam It goes on for a month and even after all the normalisation, i do think the student whos exam is after a month has a lot of advantage ( harder question paper is total bs, you can direct your preparation through other's experience ) Do you have any backup? @@naishavlogs189 pgdav lacks in all infrastructure, crowd and facilities. I think vips might be a better choice but you should definitely try contacting seniors of both the colleges just to know about their experience.

The allotment process in central Universities are the worst actually. You won't be able to get admission until every possible OBC students are admitted...This is my personal experience, like what are we General category students need to do....even if we scored good marks higher than OBC still we won't get admission, dont these students need to put same efforts as ours. Honestly, caste wise selection shouldn't be promoted instead income wise selection process can be a way better option.
My normalization marks are also 734 and after normalization it came down to 695. I have not lose at that point of time explanning myself that everyone's marks got not mine alone. But when the rankings came out i literally cried. My one friend who scored 678 before and 635 after nor. got around 600 rank . One of the biggest reasons i cried he made a fake EWS certificate. He got ARSD college BCOM at 635 and i got MOTILAL NEHRU at 695. My another friend got VENKI ECO HONS at 692. Funny think is that she scored 690 before normalization. Another friend got DAULAT RAM BCOM HONS at 695 . The list goes and goes and they all get this through fake EWS certificates. My confidence on this system has fully committed suicide. The rest of the video is something that we all as general student can relate to but you are wrong about the marks allotment. For every wrong question 6 marks got deducted not 1 . So if your marks reduced to 31 its not because you get 31 question wrong , you actually got 5 question wrong due to which for each question 6 marks got reduced making around 30 . You might have gotten less question wrong , then the deduction is on the basis of normalisation.
On commencement of cuet examination....my brother told me ki kabil nahi... sc,st bano....kamyabi aapke kadam chumegi...i felt it today✌️ 751 general bcom hons(nothing alloted) not because i filled my preferences wrong but i have set my priorities for only 3...4 colleges as from a middle class family,it is really not worth to join DU for a sake of degree and exposure....i have enrolled myself in my state university and i am happy with what the destiny has planned for me...and i believe that everything happens for a reason😊🙌

Same happend to I was expecting 195 in BST 190 in eco but DU gave me 157 in Bst and in Eco I got 142 after normalization, DU didn't got any college in 3rd round as well my cuet score was 558/800 general category in 12th I've got 87%
Please pay attention that YOU HAVE ATTEMPTED 40Q. and got 5 incorrect not 31 Incorrect SCORE = 175-5 (35×5 -1×5)=170 Or else say 170= 200-5-25 for every incorrect you lose -5 plus you lose -1 from your correct answers.
I can just feel you.. Same happened with me.. In this normalization i lost my 74 marks. But we can do nothing about this.. Literally this quota is just destroying lives... Deserving should get the seats na.. Why like we are not getting a good college at 700+ and quota student are getting it at even 500..where is the equality we talk about. Hey! So sorry to hear about what happened with you, I know that NTA has made these circumstances that nearly everyone is sad about their marks and normalisation, But normalisation as a process is something which is really difficult to understand, It took me months too :) So what they do is they Calculate the raw score of all the children of a single shift, date and subject, and then on the base of raw scores they decide the difficulty level of the exam. Now according to them its a proper way of doing so but the thing is if many people score good marks then the exam is considered to be easy and marks are highly deducted (Happened to me too :( My raw score was 753 and after normalisation it was 705). And then vice-versa, my cousin's marks were increased by 3 marks and my classmate's marks were increased by 40 marks, So there's pretty much nnothing we can do about it all we could have done was study and we did that, It does not depend on how much we study It literally depends on how other students study in Cuet as well as DU CSAS. I know its impossible to explain normalistion to everyone who asks you about your college but Its ok bro.........Its life don't worry if you did not get something means that God has something better than that for you, By the way i got admission in Shaheed Bhagat Singh College at 705 marks General Category BA Prog. I really agree with your quota wala part .Even after getting good marks we are not getting good colleges whereas students with sc/st/obc quota ,they got much better college than me with very less marks .i absolutely hate this system but can't do anything about it!!the actual need of normalisation is still not understood ,there is no cutoff system in du we don't even know if we got the deserving college or not🥲

And sahi boloon, although a “good” college might give you a head start in your career, your peer group and your package etc, but at the end of the day, the thing that matters most is your hard work and dedication towards what you do. Aur ek baat bataaoon, from personal experience, clichéd hai, but jo hota hai na, jitna bhi bura ho, ek reason ke liye hota hai. Not sure which religion or God you believe in, but at least have faith in the universe ke it will guide you towards your true purpose.

I wanted to rant about the same , I got 91%(yep didn't actually studied during boards) but after that I worked hard for cuet so I got 740 which got normalised into 704 and there were many minor reasons too which contributed to my low marks
1. My biometrics weren't update , my adhar card was made when I was 6-7 and it had to be update and I didn't knew about it , so during all 3 days of my cuet exam after all the candidates started answering their paper I had to wait for 10 min and after getting to my seat and after login the invigilator would come up to me and give me a paper to fill my info took approx 10 min each, they were like idc if you are not able to complete the paper , first fill the info so in my accountancy ,english , and IP exam I wasted 10 mins filling up the form and so , I had only 50 min each subject not 1 hr)
2. Anxiety (at first when my biometrics were not matching there were saying stuff like you would not be able to give your cuet exams , it will be cancelled for you and I swear I though all my hard work would go to waste and I contributed to more tension +overthinking)
3 . Normalisation (ofcourse)
4. I didn't opted for any coaching/institutions(I should have)
5. I should have started my preparation earlier
6.The center which I had didn't had enough rough seat (during my accountancy exam , after wasting 10 mins filling the form I asked them for a rough sheet they were like, complete the paper first then during the next paper i.e. bst we will give you one like bro- what )
That's how it was I didn't got a decent college trying to get over it hopefully I would come back stronger and get a good MBA college and placements I will work hard that's the only thing I can do

It's really so well to know that there is someone who is talking about all these I just want to say right from the form filling till you get admission in du college is a hectic process especially for someone who has no guidance even though internet helps us very much but the thing is in each process there was a problem like reaching exam center and suddenly finding either exam cancellation or change in center then during examination lack of timing in domain then the mistakes in answer key and even after challenging getting wrong answer no matter what your raw score is 80% of students faced deduction in their normalised score which is even not relaxing as it will be said low cutoff and all lol even 20% of students whose marks not get deducted are sufficient to fill seats in our dream college so at last the process may seems to be very clear but practically it's implementation is actually depressing for students . NTA must set criteria for normalisation as this all seems to be injustice 😢😢

My score in cuet was 536 /800 general category and I filled 200 preference in csas portal round 2
In first round i got shyama prashad mukherji college course- geo + hindi and it was my 79th preference because I don’t like the course so I upgraded in second round I got bhagini nivedita college course- pol + computer application in which the course was good but the college was not good at all… and it was my 50th preference 😭 you can’t believe mene jab preference banayi thi mene sirf 1 se lekr 40 tak hi preferred course + college soch ke banayi thi baaki sab mene preference bharne ke liye add kardiya tha but my luck muje ek bhi round mein mera preferred course + college nahi mila although I wanted off campus colleges but not bhagini nivedita jitna off campus kyuki uss college tak metro tak nahi jaati🙂 ulta muje upgrade karne ke liye sabse pehle fees deni padrii hai 🥲 moral of the story yeh hai ki koi banda khush hai hi nahi jisko college mila voh bhi jisse nahi mila voh bhi…. Just because I filled 200 preference issi reason ke wajhse muje allot hua college… or jinke bhi 600 650 marks aaye hai unn sab bacho ne ek common mistake kari hai preference kam bharke like 60 70 preference only…..or sirf top notch colleges ko upper rakh ke preference list mein🤦🏾♀️… or guys ab or time na waste karke have some backup options….all the best🤞🏽

I got 362 marks our of 600 ..but still got no colleges because of I'm from general category....I still remember I had to travel more than 300km for cuet exam centre...and that particular day I didn't just take rest for 24 hours . Also the weather condition was so bad that day..I'm now fully disgusted by this exam process. In my advice if you are from general category then pls don't waste your time in du

I got 601 in my cuet and still not get any of the clg. From preparing for cuet to waiting for the Du cutoff, i can't explain what i am going through.. it sucks💔

About the normalization and how it is notin our control, just imagine what if there was no normalization? Some students would get easy paper some would get incredibly tough. Even then luck plays role & you become powerless.

1:45 Actually Delhi university dont decrease marks, it is NTA (conducting CUET) reducing marks on the name of normalization.

I scored 90% in class 12th and being from isc boards I had no clue about how to deal with ncerts but still right after giving my boards i started preparing cuet. In just two months I completed 8 ncert books. Got chicken pox a day before my last two papers but still gave my exam. I got 600/800 which actually seems very unfair as compared to what i actually got in my raw scored. I wanted political science hons. I did get the course but in Sri Aurobindo. Now I have no option other than taking a drop. It feels miserable but this whole cuet and csas thing is very unfair and biased.

i totally agree with you just one thing that i wanted to point out is that if you got 169/200 marks that doesnt mean that u got 31 questions wrong. since the marking scheme says -1 for every wrong answer and +5 for every right answer so a total 6 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer

No body would accept it now, but my answers in response sheet weren't same as what I marked.. Like I got 4 questions incorrect in total which makes my raw score 776....2 of them were I answered correct my response sheet had some error I could swear on that... I sort of mailed them a couple of times.. Tweeted and stuff.. But no body listened.... SRCC cut off were around 782 last year... I still had hopes from normalisation that maybe anyhow my marks would just increase by 4-5 and that's it...but the results came.... And how could you even expect anything... It changed my score to 760 for Bcom h..... And for eco h.. From 770 to 740...i know not to the level other people faced.... But it took off my dream... I genuinely did all I could...... This system is so shit that there might be just a difference of 1 or 2 questions between me and SRite...
Now the category hits..... The score I got is decent if you belong to like any category... I would have got what I wanted.....

I feel you.... I got 94% in boards. Same commerce with maths. Then scored 764 raw in cuet. Which got chopped down to 741.6. Felt like hell. I had these huge expectations of telling all my teachers that I got north campus and all and tell them it was all their hard work and grind that they put in for me... But I'm just sitting in Sbsc. And I know it's a great college and all. But it wasn't my aim.... For which I gave my 2 years where I could have been aloof like all my other classmates thinking that I'll be rewarded for the same. But it's a cruel world I guess.... Hope to meet you someday in Delhi.... And share this pain even more... The thing is that the system is very new so people are thinking it in a negative way. Just imagine about the engineers, doctors, lawyers and all they basically prepare for their entrance test to the best . So this CUET system is the best to test a students overall performance. Our system is approaching in a holistic way rather than focusing on rote learning.
Don't underestimate yourself because you've got a brighter future. It's not about quota its about your mindset. Those getting seat via quota have to fight for that 1/2 seat for the program he/she wants to study. Think in a positive way about the system and about everything then you can excel in life!

Hey....i can understand... although am an ews category student.. but actually i find ews a reasonable reservation... Because Its not so easy to be raised in a family....where you can't even access...basic necessities right?? Ews...is for poor people ...for the children of parents who didn't earn much one way or other....so that their children don't....fall back in life because of less education or things like that...ughh but am fortunate enough that being not even moderately rich... my parents gave their all for me and my brother....he is in dtu and I...got 97.2 % in boards.... topper of my school. Still i could not get admission in DU because of wrong subject combination....!! You know why? Because I didn't had much people to guide me and i took subjects of my interest in cuet domain rather than my 12th subjects....such a fool i was... now I am a dropper because am outside delhi and cant afford to live there ....unless i really have a reallyyyy nice college...I feel extremely sorry for you... My score was also deducted by 60 marks.... its..698 now and I can completely relate to you on this shitty machenism of normalisation ....so sorry for you. I got 620 marks but no college was alloted I want to take drop but still I am not sure that will I get good clg we general students have to score above 760 to get north campus and many my friends got alloted seats in 300 marks if there so much reservation why don't you increase the no. Of seats of general students
IN Schools we say every child is special but when it comes to clges only sc st obc children are special and it is assumed that all general students are very rich and topper even if I score 750 something maybe in normalisation my marks will deduct and as we know general and male students will get nothing in 600+ marks sc st students will SRCC in 580

I also got 164 in Pol Science that deducted in normalisation i.e. even to 144 😥 In board exam I got 98 marks in Pol Science but how hard my paper was I can't tell also I am a dropper for the first time I got KMC but my Dream clg was Hindu/Stephen and with this dream I decided to give the exam again bcz that time my exam held in last phase that was the toughest phase also normalisation cut down my marks and made myself at worst condition....also I got 188 marks last time in Pol Science and 13 marks deducted by nta on the name of Normalisation 😢😢😢 what here conclusion came that
In Board- Pol -98 CUET 1st time 188 and 2nd time after that much hard work and reading books again and again I got 164 and after Normalisation 144😭😭😭
Also when I am talking of Economics - Board- 89/100
And CUET first time I just got only 108😭 and second time 185/200 what is happening with me...
Geography in class 12- 97/100
CUET in 2022- 152 and deducted in Normalisation finally got 144😭😭
And this time after one more year of hard work I got 197/200

My sister lost 78 marks overall and 45 marks in just history due to normalisation her raw score was 716 and it dropped to 638 she got an off campus college. I also lost 40 marks overall in normalisation. Don't know what was the basis of normalisation.
I didn't even got any college in DU, not even BHU... and my friend who were in other category got good colleges in south campus of DU 😔😔 now I am getting into some private colleges

You did not write 31 wrong in gst. You are reducing 1 mark and adding 5 marks for wrong answer. Instead reduce six marks for wrong answer...you will get right picture.

You're not alone dear. Even I had to go through the same shit , cried every minutes , every hours as I couldn't process the fact that my raw score of 720 got reduced to 655 after normalisation. Didn't get a good college ,so I'm taking a partial drop this time but definitely didn't give up.
I'd keep my raw score a pure 800/800 next time ,so that even normalisation would not be able to affect me anymore.

well i am a second year student , also stuck in Pgdav with 94 percent in 12th grade & 672 CUET scores and had same scenario no upgrade in second round ..I felt it was so unfair that i couldn't get even south campus top ones but i did a severe mistake of putting pgdav before jmc & maitreyi ... Ik what you must be feeling .. But just for now accept this thing cause if you won't then it's only gonna be a frustrating journey .. It goes on for a month and even after all the normalisation, i do think the student whos exam is after a month has a lot of advantage ( harder question paper is total bs, you can direct your preparation through other's experience )

I think vips might be a better choice but you should definitely try contacting seniors of both the colleges just to know about their experience.
My 70 marks got deducted because of normalisation Students with lower marks got admission in great colleges because of qoutas even though they had equal opportunities as me while I didn't even got a college

The allotment process in central Universities are the worst actually.
You won't be able to get admission until every possible OBC students are admitted...This is my personal experience, like what are we General category students need to do....even if we scored good marks higher than OBC still we won't get admission, dont these students need to put same efforts as ours.
Honestly, caste wise selection shouldn't be promoted instead income wise selection process can be a way better option.

My normalization marks are also 734 and after normalization it came down to 695. I have not lose at that point of time explanning myself that everyone's marks got not mine alone. But when the rankings came out i literally cried. My one friend who scored 678 before and 635 after nor. got around 600 rank . One of the biggest reasons i cried he made a fake EWS certificate. He got ARSD college BCOM at 635 and i got MOTILAL NEHRU at 695. My another friend got VENKI ECO HONS at 692. Funny think is that she scored 690 before normalization. Another friend got DAULAT RAM BCOM HONS at 695 . The list goes and goes and they all get this through fake EWS certificates. My confidence on this system has fully committed suicide. Literally feeling you and your emotions
I scored 95% in 12th and got 685 in cuet..and here i am with no college:)

The rest of the video is something that we all as general student can relate to but you are wrong about the marks allotment. For every wrong question 6 marks got deducted not 1 . So if your marks reduced to 31 its not because you get 31 question wrong , you actually got 5 question wrong due to which for each question 6 marks got reduced making around 30 . You might have gotten less question wrong , then the deduction is on the basis of normalisation.
On commencement of cuet examination....my brother told me ki kabil nahi... sc,st bano....kamyabi aapke kadam chumegi...i felt it today✌️
751 general bcom hons(nothing alloted) not because i filled my preferences wrong but i have set my priorities for only 3...4 colleges as from a middle class family,it is really not worth to join DU for a sake of degree and exposure....i have enrolled myself in my state university and i am happy with what the destiny has planned for me...and i believe that everything happens for a reason😊🙌

this is so true girl..i got 646/800 and didnt got any college..all the hopes are dead. and before normalization it was 721. expecting venky and here didnt get even off campus
Same happend to I was expecting 195 in BST 190 in eco but DU gave me 157 in Bst and in Eco I got 142 after normalization, DU didn't got any college in 3rd round as well my cuet score was 558/800 general category in 12th I've got 87%

Please pay attention that YOU HAVE ATTEMPTED 40Q. and got 5 incorrect not 31 Incorrect SCORE = 175-5 (35×5 -1×5)=170
Or else say 170= 200-5-25 for every incorrect you lose -5 plus you lose -1 from your correct answers.
