From the bottom of my heart, thank you for following my 10 year Journey as an Anime pianist. My original intention to create a RUclips channel was actually just to play this song from my childhood on the piano. After 10 years, I have finally come full circle by uploading the full version of Butter-Fly. Because this song will forever be my favorite Anime song of all time. I can really feel the passion you had for this particular rendition. For some reason for me 4:14 onward hits harder than any other moment from your covers (and man there have been some doozies). Beautiful, beautiful cover, please never stop! Edit: just read the description, and now it hits even harder D:
@@Animenzzz Do you have the sheet music for this? Really wanna learn it. Learned the unravel, snow halation, my dearest and weight of the world. Thank you so much!
Animenz, the old version of this song you uploaded 2010 was the reason I started playing piano, so seeing this one really touched me. Digimon was also my entire childhood and teached me important lessons that I carry with me even today, so on behalf of all digimon fans I thank you for the beautifull arrangement and tribute to Koji Wada, who will forever remain on our memories.

Even though this channel may have been taken possession of. Whoever is behind the screen let me tell you that you should be proud for working with such a good pianist and regret losing him.
I am a 14 year old pianist, self taught and the reason I started playing piano was from when I started watching you in 2014, I have encountered problems and now I'm going to national piano competitions and also preliminaries. I'm going to one in the later years playing Beethoven moonlight sonata 3rd movement and melody of the night and also marriage d'amour. This is all thanks to you as you're the one who gave me passion to play thank you so much.
Gudluck dude, ive been playing piano since 5 until 22,we can never run away from music once we started, even if i didnt continue studying music, went into computer studies, music just never stops and wonderful, and since im perfect pitch hearing, hearing every song i heard will make me want to compose my own transition like animenz.i wish i have lots of time to play piano again
I remember watching Digimon when I was 3 yo on box shaped Samsung more than 20 years ago with terrible quality but still catching every frame I could. Every time I watched that OP I was on heaven from happiness. You did an absolutely amazing job and this arrangement is pure genius. Thank you for bringing the memories back with such delicacy, sensitivity and love.
This is by far the best version I have ever heard and believe me, I have heard a lot of versions. Thank you for this masterpiece!! 4:23 sounds so magical
Man, hearing you playing this song just made me feel so nostalgic! "I wonder if I made a difference on the RUclips landscape with my piano uploads", yes you did, you inspired many to start learning the piano like myself and even encourage many new generations anime-piano channels to become what they are today which ultimately contributing to growing the anime-piano community. Fun fact: The first upload I ever did on my channel was your 2010 Butter-Fly piano arrangement! Thank you so much for your uploads and I'm definitely looking forward to next week.
Ah, so the 2010 butter-fly was the first video you have watched? This means you have known my channel since the very beginning then! I also hope the RUclips Anime piano community will continue growing in the future as well!
@@김현확-z9h The Animenz brand is dead, but he himself is not dead. Basically, he messed up when he signed a contract in 2018 with a management company and now he doesn't own the rights to Animenz intellectual property.
It saddens me reading about the situation. I’m truly sorry for what you’re going through. You have inspired me in so many ways and I always hoped to be able to play one of your pieces one day. Thank for everything and although the agency might have control over your channel, your followers including me and the other million more will always follow your path no matter what.
As I remembered episode 54, my childhood memories were revived. I pray for Koji Wada. I would like to thank Mr. Animenz. 54話を思い出すとともに、幼い頃の思い出が蘇りました。和田さんにご冥福を。Animenzさんに感謝を。
To the courageous teenager whom attempted to perform this at Malaysia international airport early this week, WELL DONE & KEEP IT UP!!! Hearing such a familiar tune while waiting to board a long flight does help bring certain level of peace, so THANK YOU the anonymous performer and THANK YOU #animenz for arranging such a masterpiece.
Well, must be bcs there's a new remake of Digimon Adventure currently airing, and soon the new generation of InuYasha is about to unveil. It's like animenz wanna tell us that "Yeah, these legends will surely be in our hearts forever!"🤗
Wow, I'm speechless! What a beautiful adaptation, the last A Capella part really brings the sweet childhood memories I keep very deep inside. I can feel the joy of turning on TV after school to watch my favourite series like it was yesterday. Thank you for this piece of art
2020 is a terrible year already, but never would I have thought that we will lose Animenz too... farewell and best wishes to our beloved Animenz, thank you for the joy, the magnificence and the legacy you’ve brought to the world. You have and will always be a motivation to me when I sit in front of the piano. Thank you for the 10 years of brilliance. I, and every fan of Animenz, await the day of your return. "This is it, everyone! It was a wonderful journey for me as an Anime pianist. Thank you for following me on RUclips for the last 10 years! And don't forget, I love you all." - Animenz, 2020
I just read the community post, thank you for everything you have done and every piece you have played. You have continuously been an inspiration to me and your music has helped me live everyday life. RIP M.G.
美しいに尽きます。初代デジモンは私が子供のころに、リアルタイムで視聴していた思い出の作品です。そのOPを、鮮やかな旋律で奏でる演奏は見事です。これからも応援しています。 It's beautiful. The first Digimon is a memorable work that I watched in real time when I was a kid. The performance that plays the OP with a vivid melody is wonderful. We support you in the future.
I just found out what happened with Animenz and I feel like crying. I’m a little late since I’m a highschooler and I’m still going through school, but I’m heartbroken right now. I have never followed him consistently, but Animenz was one of the only outlets I had in middle school for anime. Middle school was really hard for me, I didn’t have good thoughts about me or my life and so I threw myself into anime. Even then, I didn’t have many, or really anyone, to talk to about it. But Animenz was there, and Animenz was always there. Every song he covered always resonated with me, and I remember a time where I wanted to learn to play piano again so I could be just like him. I felt like I could relate with him and his audience who took anime seriously, and enjoyed it genuinely. In a way, I felt heard and validated with his music. With his return in 2020, I was happy to say the least. It was like seeing a friend for the first time in years, or finding an old toy you loved when you were a baby. It filled me with a certain warmth and created a certain happiness in me, and it all felt a little nostalgic. And at the moment it’s gone, and it hurts. This all sounds a little funny because I’m so young but I feel like I sound much older, but I want to support Animenz if possible. To an extent, he helped me get through some rough spots in life. I’m still learning and growing up and trying to figure out where I am and who I want to be, but his passion has helped me find parts of myself. He really has left a mark in my life and in many others too. All I have is love, gratitude, and respect for him and I wish him the best in trying to claim his name back. I hope to give my support in whatever way he needs, and I guess for now I’ll wait for his return (and ocassionally cry over his old arrangments).
@William LeGod read in a comment above: Summary: He signed away his Animenz IP to a management agency and they have now separated. Essentially he lost his identity and is trying to get it back, but due to the contract this is unlikely and he may start a new identity. ;--;
I remember my mom would always ask me “Why are you so obsessed with a poorly animated 90s cartoon?” but in my mind it was so much more than that. I remember sitting in front of the TV at age 7 and falling in love with the characters and watching them grow old over the years. I don’t think I’ve ever found another TV show that was able to make me feel the way that digimon adventure made me feel. To be honest I don’t think I ever will. Maybe I am a little bit over obsessed, but this franchise is one that I’ll never forget and one that I’ll definitely make my kids watch. Thank you for brightening my childhood one episode at a time ❤️
"This is it, everyone! It was a wonderful journey for me as an anime pianist." -2 weeks later, still no upload... Was this his final performance...? Cheers to Animenz for being such an inspiration to many, including myself to pick up the piano. Thank you for the last 10 years
That’s what I fear too, but this is probably just the end of the 10-year anniversary celebration and Animenz is back to his original schedule (1 arrangement per season)
Dear Animenz, I rarely ever comment on RUclips videos, but after hearing the recent news regarding your channel, I can’t help but feel the need to express my feelings on here. Words cannot describe how much of an inspiration you were. You fuelled my passion for piano and you are the sole reason I still play piano to this day. For that, I cannot thank you enough. I’ve been watching your videos for nearly 10 years now and I’m so glad I got to be a part of your journey. Your descriptions were far from just a typical video description, you connected with us and told us how you were doing in your life. Throughout all of your videos, I learned so many new techniques on the piano, but there is something of even more importance you have taught me. That is, to always get back up when you are down. This is why I’m writing this to you Animenz, I want you to remind you that no matter how bad things get, I know that you will always see it through to the end. That is the Animenz I know. I’m truly heartbroken to hear that your channel has been taken from you, but you should know that all of us, your fans, will always be here to support you. I wish you the best Animenz, and thank you. Sincerely, D.S
I'm late 90's to early 2000's kid. This OG Digimon is one of the many anime's I grew up with. I'm in my 30's now and hearing this really brings a good nostalgia. I'll try to come back to this vid every year, and hope as long as I live😊
Time really flies faster the older you become. A year will become an instant, and eventually, even a decade will feel like a short moment. That’s just how life works, I guess
Hi Animenz I just found out about your channel, all of your songs are incredible! But I wanted to take my time and comment on this one. Digimon Adventure was my entire childhood too, I would get in heated discussions with my friends because they didn't understand Digimon and just liked Pokemon lol. I have been a fan of Digimon since I was a kid and with Tri seeing them all grown up fills my heart with joy. I told you all this, because I wanted you to understand that this piano song that you arranged is the most magical music I have ever heard in my entire life, and I feel all your emotions when you play it. You are amazing, incredible, all your hard work, effort, and raw talent came together and helped you to make this masterpiece. THANK YOU! Really, thank you for taking your time and doing this.
Cry a lot when I have listen to this song as a farewell and know what you have gone through I will follow you whatever you call, whatever channel it is. Just love your music, that's all
We will be waiting for your comeback. stay strong man! All of us here loves you and your music. You are talented enough to create such wonderful pieces, and inspire so many people (we have tons of anime pianists now, thanks to you). BURN BRIGHTER! We, your fans, are always here to support you. We already waited for your comeback once, we can do it again. WE WILL MEET AGAIN, AND THAT'S FOR SURE.
I'm so sad... You've always been my inspiration since 2017 after which I decided to get my digital piano. Playing one of your pieces well has always been my goal and seeing you get screwed over like this breaks my heart.
This is a great arrangement and your story is absolutely magnificent. Nice to know that it's your favorite anime song of all time, you've grown so much as a channel and as a pianist.
I have finally found it. The ultimate cover of the most nostalgic anime song I know, despite not having to watch a single episode of. It has been just a dream. Now I've heard the real thing. My life is complete.
I have been a fan ever since the year of 2014, as a junior high student, and have always been introducing Animenz to all my friends and family since then. My junior high and high school studying years was be filled with your melodies...and I, to this day, greatly appreciate how it brought me through countless emotional breakdowns and crises. It also gave me many inspirations in my high school years upon creating music with traditional Chinese Instruments I could play at the time. While I am really saddened to hear this news, I also hope to wish you of the best in your life in the future, and plan to follow you, even if not behind the nostalgic name of “Animenz”. This is farewell, and a sincere thank you from a Taiwanese undergraduate student currently studying in the U.S....also from the same diehard fan that still has a poster of Animenz 2018 Global Tour on the middle of the biggest wall in my bedroom ever since the unforgettable experience back in your concert in the year of 2018. *I want to express, sincerely, my utmost gratitude for accompanying me through almost a third of my lifetime.* *Thank you*
Not many person on earth can nail the part starting from 3:35 until the start of third chorus without significantly modifying the feel of original guitar melody. But you did it. Well done!
You don't have to wonder if you made an impact you most certainly had a huge impact on the youtube landscape and beyond. You inspired countless people to start their own arrangment and to keep playing piano so that one day we are able to play your arrangements
I dont know if it’s the song, the nostalgia, or the fact that it’s 3am, but when your left hand rejoined in at 4:25 omg. this is the first time I’ve truly shed a tear during one of your covers. Thank you for sharing this
It’s pretty mind-blowing how you inspire me. I can’t believe you would even ask if you made a difference. You are essentially the poster boy for anime on piano, and no one has inspired to pursue anything as much as you have. These weekly uploads make me cry every week, and add another beautiful so to my “I can’t wait to learn this” list. You are getting closer and closer to breaking out of the algorithm, I feel it, and you deserve it.
You surely influenced the youtube-, but also the Personal landscape. Before discovering your channel (many years ago, when unravel came out), I didn't really had any motivation to continue playing piano after 9 years with a rather strange piano-teacher. But after seeing your Covers it just reignited the Passion and since then I'm extremely often playing piano ^^. My goal one day is to inspire as many people as you did with my playing, since thanks to you, piano practically became a Part of me, with which I share most of my best memories. - concerts - playing in the officersball (graduation to lieutenant) - countless Nights playing at a piano Bar - seeing the Looks of children, when they hear you play their favourite song - after a mini-concert for some friends finally asking out my crush ^^. So really from my heart, thank you very much, I wouldn't be the Same Person, without you :).
The first season of Digimon is actually my favourite anime of all time. No matter how awesome other anime are, the nostalgia connected to this one is just too beautiful. And this cover is just perfect in every way.
The artist will forever be missed. Never watched the Japanese version. But I did watch Tri, and cried like a bitch. Thank you for giving the legend more time to share his gift of a song to the world.
The part in your description about how butterfly adds to the already amazing moments of the final episode is absolutely what i feel about it. I cried watching that as a kid and even today I love watching that segment. Digimon and butterfly were both the reasons for getting me into anime and anime music.
Thank you Animenz, for everything. You inspired me and my brother to play piano, you've introduced me to so many amazing songs and anime. No matter what happens in the future, I will never forget your incredible skills and if you ever return, I am sure that all of us will be there to support you. 本当にありがとうございます!
To the person behind animenz, thanks for the anime covers that you made. Although Im not a pianist, i always listen to your covers. I hope that you come back to us. Stay strong! We fans, will always be waiting for you to come back!
The first few notes sent back in time to being a tiny tot in the late 90's watching Adventure for the first time with so many other kids. This song never fails to make me emotional ❤ DigiDestined for life ❤
Is this really the end...? Your uploads were the highlight of every week!! You're an inspiration to me and so many others, I wouldn't be the pianist or even person I am today if it weren't for you. The way you put your all into each note, it simply can't be found anywhere else. You're so freaking ridiculously skilled and dedicated, I look up to you in every way!! One of the things I love most about you is how you can turn your passion into something so substantial and satisfying. And of course that you share it with us haha. What would we ever do without you? I'd like to say I'm a fairly accomplished pianist for my age, and it all started when I tried to learn your Brave Shine. Every time I would hear it I'd get that feeling of motivation and anticipation. I still don't think I can do any of your arrangements justice, but I'm getting there :) and it's all thanks to you!! Ever since I heard you first play, I've been glued, without ever planning to let go!! I still have a few requests, if you'd care to hear 'em :D There's something about this arrangement that stands out to me. If this really is the end, you nailed it. You've surpassed every expectation, and I have to say you ended with a bang. I really can't thank you enough for everything you've done for us. You're an amazing pianist and an amazing person besides. If you're wondering how I know that, it's because I can see the care you put into each song and every description. If I never get to hear you arrange again, I can only say I wish you only the best, and I hope that you can achieve everything you want. And after watching you play this, I totally believe you can haha. I don't know how active you are going to be on your channel after this, but I reallyyy hope you see this. I just want you to know how much your music meant to me and how much I'll miss you :)
I’m seriously panicking now...he hasn’t uploaded for like, three weeks I truly hope this isn’t the end (Btw, what you wrote is amazing and also touching. Can’t express my gratitude enough ( ´▽`)
The sheer amount of technique required to play any of this man's covers is ridiculous. There is not a single artist I've seen on youtube (doing anime covers or not) improve technique-wise as much as you have. The sheer hunger for improvement you've displayed over the past few years is obvious from the quality of your recent covers. I literally had goosebumps listening to your covers of this and Zankoku na Tenshi no Teeze. Thank you for inspiring me
I hope this isn't a swan song, but if it is then it's not a bad way to go out. I look forward to your future endeavours and the future of all the musicians you've inspired
Thank you so much for everything, pianist and creator behind Animenz. I Haven't stopped playing the piano due to your incredibly beautiful arrangements, those were the ones that motivated me to keep going and push forward. This is such a beautiful outro for the animenz show, forever my favorite :') Edit: Hyped for Animenz season 2 tho

Animenz, thank you for playing this beautiful song... years ago your first arrangement of this song help me survive through my ups and downs in my uni days, that day was the day I found your channel on youtube. 6-7 years later, I'm here sitting in front of my PC with my wife and my first soon to be born baby. I dunno whether you will read this one among hundreds comment or not. Regardless, thank you Animenz, from Indonesia
You, Animenz, inspired me to take up piano 6 years ago. I feel this is the same for many others who followed your channel for many years. Hours and hours of lessons wkth teachers, practicing classical repertoire, and determination in order to someday play an Animenz piece. Now im playing your Swordland cover, Air(TV) kanon clannad key medley, and oregairu ed with more planned in the future. Thank you for all these years and I am sorry to hear about your situation. I hope the best for you in your legal battle.
This is when i realised... this moment brings us together. From all around the world. Regardless of country ,language, culture or race. We had the same childhood listening to this.the same memoried
Just wanted to say thanks. U are the inspiration why I continued to play on the piano. I wanted to stop playing after 10 years because it was no fun for me only playing classic until I decided to enjoy playing what I like after I saw ur channel for the first time. Thank You!
Digimon adventure was amazing, I loved it. I rewatched it, the original, and it was amazing, again. I feel so much nostalgia when I listen to this song. I remember when the digimon first digivolved, and when I rewatched it, I almost cried. The sequel Digimon Tri also was very nostalgic, along with the movie. The original digimon, if anyone remembers, was really good too. When the mc drew his digimon and it came to life, and he and his friends had to face the final threat. Man, I am so passionate about Digimon, I love it to my hearts full content.
10years feels like yesterday. I still listen to your “My dearest” as one of the most beautiful songs I have heard. And yes this is also one of them or I would say its the best of yours yet. Idk, I want to listen more to your music. Thank you for the hardwork.
The description of your video mirrored exactly my sentiments back when I saw the last episode of Digimon Adventure. The version of Butterfly that played in the last episode, as Mimi’s hat flew off… I burst into tears. It was an end to a story I never ever wanted to end! Digmon taught me many things.. friendships, love, courage, hope. All these emotions matter so much in an adult’s life. Digmon was just building up for what was to come next! I’m so glad I’m not the only one who felt this way about Digimon :) Thanks from the bottom of my heart. This composition of yours is something I can listen to hours at end. I just close my eyes and drift off to the good old times. That’s the power of nostalgia, that’s the beauty of Digimon :)
digimon is my fav animie and i grown up with it, i had numerous toys from it (that are still inside my room) and i spent a lot of my childhood time with them but somwhow when i get older, i started to think it's kind of childish to let people know how obessed i was with it and i hide from it but then, after graduation and working for a few years, with the new movie, and this song, it brings me back all those precious memories and im so glad i had never trashed any of those stuff
Listening to your music transport me to my son's childhood. He would be 8 por 9 years old and he woul very seriuosly explain the transformation to me,"with a little patience you will learn them" . What drawing do you want me to do? Becoming part of those treasures that one keeps in the heart. Thank you Animenz!! Greetings from Argentina!
Hey, heard about your situation and i'm feeling really infuriated but at the same time just to let you know that you have us, your fans!! You will be in our heart no matter what and will always follow you through even at the toughest of times. You will always see us on the other side aka your new channel soo... No worries we got your back!! Cant wait for your next upload with some sickass 3rd hand technique!! ^-^ (Edit: My previous comment was just about him doing the one handed solo which explains Animenz's reply)
I have so much to say, but I'll keep it short. You played piano, then I tried to learn to play piano too. I was fortunate enough to even have met you on the internet and gotten to talk to you. It was probably the best early birthday wish I've gotten from you. I will never forget why I started piano and why I tried so hard to get as good. And like all good animes, it has it's ends... I don't know, It feels like when an anime ends, a part of my soul also goes away with it... Thank you~ Be safe and stay healthy!
Hello Animenz, I heard what happened to you and I'm very sorry. I just want you to know that you made my life way better with your arrangements both listening to them and playing them. This is by far the best version I have ever heard and believe me, I have heard a lot of versions. Thank you for this masterpiece!!

It's beautiful.
@William LeGod read in a comment above:
Summary: He signed away his Animenz IP to a management agency and they have now separated. Essentially he lost his identity and is trying to get it back, but due to the contract this is unlikely and he may start a new identity.
;--;

Dear Animenz,
I rarely ever comment on RUclips videos, but after hearing the recent news regarding your channel, I can’t help but feel the need to express my feelings on here.

I still have a few requests, if you'd care to hear 'em :D
There's something about this arrangement that stands out to me.
