    Polar Bears International is an amazing organization! Every single animal and ecosystem is dependent on each other. We need to stop the destruction and start taking action on climate change. We all are dependent on the earth we live on to survive.

    Dude, cover up your throat there! That lets the body heat out. Churchill is the place
    to see polar bears. Come back next year to see how the cubs are doing.

    How did the Earth warm and cool before humans?

    • @mangoesfly1594
      @mangoesfly1594 Год назад +4

      Because of Earth's obliquity. Every 40,000ish years, the earth's tilt changes, causing warming and cooling

    As humans we will make damn sure the polar bear and so many other of God's wonders become extinct soon enough. We are lucky to have lived during an era they existed.

    I love animals and zoologist and people who stand up for animals. ITS SAD WHATS GOING ON But THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE. people who believe in science should know that climate change is inevitable. Since the earth was form this is part of their eco system.

    From and overhead view of the North Pole, the ice is shrinking on one half but growing larger on the other side, to the same scale too, as I understand. Is that why the terminology being used is "Changing" and not shrinking. Are the studies to monitor if these bears can figure out, or evolve, or both, that their home has changed and for survival that they need to move like pioneers did across the US in order to have the earlier ice to bridge as a way to get where? To the Ocean?? They have been experiencing longer seasons before the ice sets in but if 1/2 of Florida could see snow, as predicted by The Farmer's Almanac, this year should be much better, right?🙏 I am a firm believer that being serious about lowering our waste and reuse, recycle & repurpose would make huge impacts but throwing 50plus billion dollars won't have any impact on what Mother Nature is going to do, regardless!! This is a huge Polar Bear PSA and I just want to hear facts without a fearful message using their situation as the ice is shrinking or something. Thank you!

      All good points! The Inuit community in Arviat (Nunavut) has been petitioning the Canadian government to increase the number of polar bears that can be harvested annually due to an increase in numbers and encounters. Canada allows for 600 polar bears to be harvested annually but Arviat only sees a few of the hunting tags handed out every year. Based on first hand accounts by those who live in Nunavut as opposed to experts who pontificate from the outside, polar bear numbers are actually thriving.....for now. Let's hope it stays that way.
