I want to build a shade house for my waterleaf garden Too much of rain is not good on waterleaf. Can I use tapolin that could be put off when its raining? Thank you for this video
True that, unfortunately I recorded the video 3 years ago when i built my second greenhouse. At the time I had a poor digital camera, and I had to work with what was available at the time. Now I'm using a much better and bigger camera, so you will see that the quality of this video is so different from the quality of all other videos that I have published. But all the same I'm sorry about that, I wish had a better camera back then.
Hi Dennis, that's good to hear. I'm sure you have seen that it's so easy to construct your own shade net greenhouse. In Zimbabwe you can buy the shade cloth at Twine n Cordage, formerly called Tanzi. They are based in Harare, Southerton along Plymouth Road. They are the ones who manufacture the shade cloth in Zimbabwe. You need 3 rolls of shade cloth for a 30 by 12m greenhouse. If possible increase it to about 30m by 13.5m and it will house 1200 plants, you will still need 3 rolls of shade cloth for that size.
@@BestFarmingTips thnk u so mch l once constructed a hybrid greenhouse n l covered it w shade cloth with l brought from twine n cordage kwekwe branch so l want to build another one with gum poles only
I strongly recommend that you build the one you want to build with gum poles and shade cloth. You will enjoy the results and the durability. I have had mine for over 3 years now.
Hi, I am glad to find video on shade cloth /net and i am seriously considering it instead of uv plastic because of very hot climate all year round at my place (Malaysia). May I know is it the same as the insect net which normally used for greenhouse wall? from where i from, the most common netting for agriculture is using the black net (paranets) but this one the wholes are much bigger. Could please point me to any shop that sell the shade cloth/net us use for this construction? tq very much
Reason why people in hot climate use plastic Is because of the introductory inception of control environment agriculture coming from the northern / europe @ cold place to protected from freeze . Forget about plastic use shade nets or insect exclusion net / Make sure you make poles high enough for air circulation @ 3.5 - 4.5 mtrs
Hi, Yes it's possible. The width of shade cloth you are building will determine how easy its going to be to build a greenhouse with a 40-metre length. If the width is 2 metres, then its very easy. If its 3 metres then you may need to work with either 39 metres or 42 metres.
Well, a shade cloth is much stronger than an insect net and so lasts much longer, and the purpose of a shade cloth greenhouse is not specifically to protect plants from insects only, a shade house also protects plants from harsh weather conditions, such as rain storm, too much wind and hot temperatures and an insect net will not be able to provide all that.
@@BestFarmingTipsIt depends, what area is it located? Greenhouse is about creating a favorable microclimate and protect from harsh weather. If you want to make a substitute the insect net is the closest thing to the greenhouse. The shade cloth hole is way too big to protect from insects
Please consider using a tripod or camera stand of sorts... this is very painful to watch.... Its not stable and hurts the eyes. But I really want to watch it to the end.

Awww sweet. Thanks for the positive comment. I am also looking forward to the next video, which I hope to publish within the next 48 hours.
Where can i get shadenet to buy
What is the size of poly wire?
Well noted: I wish you used camera stand... because it is too shaky and can't concentrate in full. Other than that, all are great of the greatest.
