It is not really futuristic enough like light weight next generation armor , UHMWPE armor ,metal ceramic hybrid armor , liquid armor full body armor , exoskeletons/ exosuits Mixed reality and heads up displays , C5ISR technologies active camouflage and other exciting stuff based on what I see

War Is Hell Ha, of course, bro! I’ve been a longtime fan of your content. I agree it took me a little bit to get into it. It took a couple mods like After East Wind and the CSAT modification project to enjoy CSAT. The lore itself feels like a blank canvas since we can pretty much make it what we want. Such a unique aspect you don’t find in other games.
Never thought I'd see my little mod (AJAX 2035) get a shout out on YT, especially not within its first year of release, so chuffed on the feature! Glad that my stuff is appreciated, if you have any ideas on what I should add, you should let me know!
Great video. For German special forces (KSK, GSG9, SEK, etc.) there is a really good mod, called „BundesPolizei und Spezialeinheiten“. It’s completely from scratch, with really unique assets.
Callsign Minotaur and Dunes are both amazing, fully voiced, vanilla quality, singleplayer campaigns that include a few assets aswell (including a small map for Dunes). Also a small but great mod is the 25 KKiv 2035 anti-material rifle mod. Very 2035. There's also the Project - Future Vertical Lift that adds a new VTOL, and they have plans to add others. There are so many good small mods that complement the 2035 lore.
Man it really sucks that in June 2020 the German KSK was disbanded. Spent 8 years stationed in Germany and met some of those Operators in Vilseck. You will be missed guys.
Partially disbanded due to growing far-right extremism within the KSK ranks. The KSK had become partially independent from the chain of command, with a toxic leadership culture, and one of the force's four companies, where extremism is said to be the most rife, was to be dissolved and not replaced. In 2018, the German Federal Criminal Police Office uncovered a plot involving unknown KSK soldiers to murder prominent German politicians such as Claudia Roth, Heiko Maas and Joachim Gauck among others, and carry out attacks against immigrants living in Germany.

I got bored of the same old mods like RHS and CUP and wanted something new for Arma and I forgot to even take a look at mods that enhance the vanilla game like this xD. Honestly I hated the vanilla game's futuristic setting, but now after seeing these mods and listening to what you said I actually like the futuristic setting a lot more! There are so many more possibilities with these mods that I can play around with in the editor, me and my friend are gonna enjoy this a lot! Thanks for this list and great video also! This is what i was looking for, im new to arma 3 and arma in general, i really love the single player campaign but i would like that some things lookt a little more better.
I've been playing beta testing closed tactical shooters and a space FPS shooter. I always keep coming back to Arma3. I cannot stress enough how Arma3 is such a flexible and powerful game when it comes to mods, scenarios, etc. Being able to do mods with this degree of flexibility is nothing short of awesome. This is rare. Only two tactical shooters I'm aware of: Squad and Red Orchestra 2 have workshop mods but most of it is just cosmetic and you have to pay the game developer to access it. Arma3 has over 80K items in the workshop that are mostly free. That is incredible! I'm hoping for a new Arma, but one that takes into consideration the best mods already developed and in use.
It annoys me that so many "Vanilla Enhanced" mods have CSAT or Russia with new gear like a vest for the Machine Gunners while NATO still has its Vanilla stuff. Would be awesome if somebody made a mod that just improves the look of NATO gear, Machine Gune vest, Grenadier Vest, etc.
Yeah, but the thing is - vanilla NATO uniform doesn't look awkward. It looks almost exactly how anyone would expect 2035 NATO uniform to look like, but nobody can say the same thing about CSAT. I, personally, can't come up with any ideas for NATO uniforms except slapping more pouches on some vests, because some vests really lack pouches.
@@chiken6559 Ye the NATO uniforms are ok. I was mainly talking about the vests all being the same. Its weird using the SPMG but having 6.8mm mags. I want someone to make a mod that changes the look of the vests to fit roles :)
@@chiken6559 That's cus CSAT is an entirely new entity that's emerged some time between present day and 2034 (Cus they appear in the tutorial) So they have no pre-conception as to how a soldier would be, hence armoured uniforms and LBVs instead of unarmoured uniforms and plate carriers.
I 'am a new player coming to arma 3 from console to a high end pc, really looking forward to getting into this game. I have to say there is no game on console that measure up to this game. It's to bad the console players are getting the short end of the stick since they don't have a milsim on this level.
Hey man! Would you happen to know any mods that add body dragging and carrying, something similar to what was in arma 2? I’m trying to find something but no luck. I was hoping you might know more...
the russians in 2035 AFRF and Aegis are sadly broken probably has to do something with their caliber and or custom made weapons as the normal riflemans with reddots dont engage the enemie at longer ranges for example 300 m is already way to far for them
Is there any good Mods for Panamá faction? Like Panamá defense forces or modern Day public force? Im a bit dissapointed theres only 1 mod that Actually tries to represent the faction but lacks alot of details regarding uniform And gear
Unfortunately faction mods generally require a fair amount of re-texturing and adjustments. It's not that they can't be done but they are not just a quick and easy turn around. As for a Panamanian forces faction I have never seen one in the Steam Workshop or Armaholic for that matter.

Do a couple of the sp campaigns. Dive into the ‘interesting’ Invade and Annez servers, when there are a few players around. Then look out for a ‘clan’ or ‘unit’ that fits your idea of how u play ARMA. My team like Funsim, military tactics with short intense two hour missions 😜 Oh and if that’s not enough, dive into Eden and start making yer own missions 😆
They shouldn't. They are mostly uniform/equipment/weapons mods. They are 'dumb' mods meaning that they don't take any CPU cycles while in play. Mods that have to monitor something, like fired bullets or a soldier getting shot, or that modify something, like a moving object or AI behavior, are the ones that use CPU cycle the most. But any recent CPU that is decent at gaming should be able to handle several loaded mods . I have a Ryzen 2600 with a 1660 Super and 16GB RAM, and play singleplayer running about 30 mods and get around 55 FPS. Not great but very playable. Multiplayer would be a different story.
I still feel like arma 3 would’ve been better if it was more modern and if the story was more grounded, not tons of high tech shit limited attachments and an earthquake machine

The biggest mod I want is Endwar, like a total conversion in the same vein as RHS using in game assets and concept art from the Endwar RTS game.
This is what i was looking for, im new to arma 3 and arma in general, i really love the single player campaign but i would like that some things lookt a little more better.

CSAT Modification Project also has a replacer for campaign, which makes them a little more balanced
Makes them look less like bugs as well.
As someone who's starting a Post East Wind Unit. These mods have been absolutely helpful in my efforts!

You should try the campaign "Twilight of the gods". It's a short campaign based on the East Wind - a prequel to be exact. Short but sweet 👌👌👌

ACE has body dragging and carrying in it. Other than that you might be out of luck.
