Targa Florio 73 - GPS-Based Version for rFactor 2!

- Abulzz has so graciously brough the ambitious GPS/Lidar Targa Florio 73 from Assetto Corsa to rFactor 2. And although its presented as an 'early beta', it stacks up very well with the current Assetto Corsa release!
But much is on the Horizion as well, with impressive screenshots of future Photogrammetry, and a short scan-based version already being available for Assetto Corsa, the future of the Targa Florio is only going to get more accurate from here!
So go on and support Abulzz if you can, I cannot wait to race on this version in the future!

oh wow you really fired me up now lol. Thank you so much mate for the kind words.
on the other hand, I'm really feeling the pressure right now to not disappoint 😆
Thank you!
The goat 🐐
Abulzz has created the finest version of any sim racing circuit up to this point, and with all the consistent amazing updates he provides there is no better value for those who care about and want to support historical sim racing.
I would like to take this time to thank you for your influence in helping me to find where I need to be. I have struggled with some racing, after spending a lot of money I found that the content was a too far ahead of where I wanted to be. After watching you streams and bids I found that going backwards is sometimes better than going forward. I have found a web site that gives me a lot of content for AC. I now have Targa Florio amongst others. Also a lot of classic cars that are all about the car and you... I am now on my way to getting involved in gentleman racing... This is all thanx to yourself.. and all of the people show help you to put on such great content...
I agree with you, Jake's videos are a good reminder to find your own fun in simracing and that vintage racing can be much more fun than the modern stuff. I'm decent at modern racing but you have to be way too precise with everything in a way that vintage racing does not. It's closer to road driving and I'm a car enthusiast first and foremost and racing enthusiast second so vintage racing hits a good compromise between competition and enjoyment.
i left a comment on a previous video of yours last night about this.... nice to see you covering this release!
Doing it ONCE is such an undertaking. Doing it three times, with each version adding more fine detail? I mean, one has to wonder whether Abulzz is man or machine....
There is a piece of me, despite knowing how crazy the task is, that hopes someone is insane enough to attempt to map out the Mille someday. Knowing modders, someone HAS to have _thought_ about it lol
This makes me very happy! Can't wait to do one of the future Targa Sicilia Revivals or other events on this version once it's done!
I wasnt expecting to see you here
I took a run on it last night and was so happy about it. This was the version I been waiting for. Thanks for posting your videos about this gem.
Your videos always motivate me to experience these great tracks .....
I myself NEED all those roadside objects to remind me what the next turn is like.
Good stuff, this is looking really great.
Great video mate I miss your videos mate. 📹 your content inspires me to create content
What a passion project. Thanks for the update.Your content is always informative and entertaining
Like GPL Spa to Spa '67. The original GPL Spa is still very fun but it is nice to have a more realistic alternative.
I was so stoked to get a new Targa Florio for Rfactor 2 since it has by far the best physics for classic cars!
WoW ❤
Loved that circuit a long time ago...
I'm tempted to get my wheel out again ❤
I just joined Abulzz' Patreon and look forward to see the two versions progress.
Can't wait for your next more in depth Targa Florio video
I love me some heel/toe braking! So fun to watch!!!
I drive it almost every day
I would love to see this guy narrate a race from ride 4 or ride 5 that he does himself because that would be pretty entertaining
👍
This is exciting!
This is just wild!
bro himself sounds like a history teacher.
Oh man, wouldn't it be completely crazy if someone held a full distance event in rFactor 2 with this at the beginning of next year in Woochoo's 1954 WSC mod? Unless...
Holy Cannoli!!!
As much as I like the new update - the sound from that Alfa 33...😁😁😁
well, hello there! first for a change.
Lovely video! What’s in your opinion the difference in physics that makes you choose for RF2 rather than AC? I’m an AC driver and wasn’t able to enjoy this track very fluently because it had some stutters although my frames are fine. Did a fresh install and hope it’ll be better. Thanks again!
I need a computer!
pls the link of Alfa romeo 33/3 '70?
isn't it a bit tricky to get a realistic "as-it-was" version of this track from Lidar? last time the Targa Florio was run internationally was 51 years ago. modern data wouldn't really reflect that, I fear.
I was just watching a video of Jimmy Broadbent driving the Targa Florio
I'm tempted to ask them if I could port it to beamng, but the beamng players would expect the whole area populated, and is too much work lol
I hope you're getting a kickback from rFactor2 because I'm sure you're keeping their office lights on.
No shame in canceling after donating a measly dollar? After all his work?
No Car sound means I close the video! I won't watch without game sounds!
2:51 the car sound kicks in
can you cry harder?
@@vincegrey3484 No it doesn't, it's so feint you can barely hear it.
