Also, Hope had been a witch for close to 14/15 years but wasn't powerful enough to break Penny's boundary spell, or resurrect her parents, or undo her own spell.
It's kinda the point tho isnt it? They're the original members of their species and tied to one of the strongest witch bloodlines so it makes sense they'd be way overpowered.

I love legacies but i am so disappointed at how Hope is written. She's suppose to be probably the strongest creature alive but she seems so ordinary. Josie seems stronger than Hope in the show. And we all know Hope is probably stronger than all those witches combined.

Sometimes i miss the hollow. It was such a cool story arch. Dont get me wrong tho, hope is still more than a one sided character but i miss the raw emotion when season 5 of the originals was still going. Now shes an antisocial hermit lol
when she was little she hurt them the most because the hollow got inside of her and made her evil and when she was a teenager and kidnapped her mom, she thought she was doing it for the greater good, she thought it was the fight thing to do and she still feels guilty about her mom dying

Hope is still powerful in legacies because the twins are always siphoning magic off of her and she seems unaffected unlike characters from TVD when kai siphoned them. She also shows her physical fighting power as a wolf she's not full tribrid yet. But I feel that she also doesn't let herself use her full power because Hope is afraid she will hurt someone she cares for.

People are saying that Hope was stronger in The Originals but it's not true. She's equally powerful in Legacies and The Originals. I think it's because of the difference in her emotional state. In the original, she had more problems emotionally fueling her magic, drawing from the rage of her father's absence and her being the cause of her mother's death. It's the rage that fuels the magic, especially among the Mikaelson's. Look at Daliah and Esther. During their time on The Originals, their presence was fuelled by rage and their magic extremely powerful, but during the flashbacks, Esther's magic was a lot weaker than in the present times, it was weaker as she was happier. While Daliah was angry a lot of the time making her extremely powerful. And when you look at Freya, when she was first introduced, her magic was potent and strong but as the series went on, she found herself at peace and was in a happier state of mind and that led to her powers being so strong. The same can be said for Hope. In The Originals, she was suffering with so much rage and hatred that it empowered her. While in Legacies, it was obvious that she has come to terms with her loses and has learned to dealt with them and moved on. This left her at Peace. In episode two, she was performing powerful dark magic that was fueled by her anger towards herself, and even Alaric commented that her rage was her father's and not hers. In episode 14, Landon also brought up past wounds and it triggered her causing her powers to act up and it was clearly more powerful than all the magic she done in the previous episodes. So it's clear that Hope's powers being dampened is likely due to her mental state.

She had way more power in the Originals. I mean she was 7 when she unbound Davina from the hallow fairly fast (given her age and experience). When it took Davina a while to do it in the beginning of the show with the full power of her whole coven and a lot more experience doing magic. Hope in Legacies uses her powers less and not to the extent she did in the Originals, which is very sad because I personally feel like they are wasting such a great character’s potential.

I'm so sick of people saying that Hope seems weak on Legacies. She is in a different place emotionally than she was in The Originals. In the Originals she was dealing with multiple deaths. I'm excluding child Hope because she always brings her A game when she's protecting the people she cares about. Also, regarding people saying that Hope looks weak next to Dark Josie when she's not it's because she has no intention of hurting Josie. Even in 2x15 Josie said that she wasn't fighting back. Trust me Josie would very much likely lose if Hope was trying to hurt her.

Hope being possessed by the hollow doesn't count. It wasn't only her powers that the hollow was working with, it was also the hollows powers. Hope can't actually raise someone from the dead, especially when their head has literally been separated from their body. That was the hollow using her own powers to do that.

People are saying that Hope was stronger in The Originals but it's not true. She's equally powerful in Legacies and The Originals. I think it's because of the difference in her emotional state.
In the original, she had more problems emotionally fueling her magic, drawing from the rage of her father's absence and her being the cause of her mother's death. It's the rage that fuels the magic, especially among the Mikaelson's. Look at Daliah and Esther. During their time on The Originals, their presence was fuelled by rage and their magic extremely powerful, but during the flashbacks, Esther's magic was a lot weaker than in the present times, it was weaker as she was happier. While Daliah was angry a lot of the time making her extremely powerful. And when you look at Freya, when she was first introduced, her magic was potent and strong but as the series went on, she found herself at peace and was in a happier state of mind and that led to her powers being so strong.
The same can be said for Hope. In The Originals, she was suffering with so much rage and hatred that it empowered her. While in Legacies, it was obvious that she has come to terms with her loses and has learned to dealt with them and moved on. This left her at Peace. In episode two, she was performing powerful dark magic that was fueled by her anger towards herself, and even Alaric commented that her rage was her father's and not hers. In episode 14, Landon also brought up past wounds and it triggered her causing her powers to act up and it was clearly more powerful than all the magic she done in the previous episodes. So it's clear that Hope's powers being dampened is likely due to her mental state.

She had way more power in the Originals. I mean she was 7 when she unbound Davina from the hallow fairly fast (given her age and experience). When it took Davina a while to do it in the beginning of the show with the full power of her whole coven and a lot more experience doing magic.
Hope in Legacies uses her powers less and not to the extent she did in the Originals, which is very sad because I personally feel like they are wasting such a great character’s potential.

I'm so sick of people saying that Hope seems weak on Legacies. She is in a different place emotionally than she was in The Originals. In the Originals she was dealing with multiple deaths. I'm excluding child Hope because she always brings her A game when she's protecting the people she cares about. Also, regarding people saying that Hope looks weak next to Dark Josie when she's not it's because she has no intention of hurting Josie. Even in 2x15 Josie said that she wasn't fighting back. Trust me Josie would very much likely lose if Hope was trying to hurt her.

I know we are all pissed that hope isn't as powerful in legacies but I have a theory that think alaric is somehow weakening hope without her knowing because he knows how powerful she truly is and knows that if she ever freaks out something really bad could happen and she could lose control and accidentally kill people and we already know he had a magic fountain that could shot of the kids magic and supernatural abilities so why not have one specially for the most potentially dangerous student.

Landon is a Phoenix but it’s strange none of his family are Phoenix’s and suddenly he is? Hope is still young so we don’t know how far her magic can go since she went to a school who taught them to control themselves. We don’t know if hope can kill a Phoenix. Hope being possessed by the hollow doesn't count. It wasn't only her powers that the hollow was working with, it was also the hollows powers. Hope can't actually raise someone from the dead, especially when their head has literally been separated from their body. That was the hollow using her own powers to do that.
