One main reason why i preferred the remake over the original is that Leon's characterization was made better and better battle system. However, part two of this game sure does falls apart.
I hear that even the original JP version of the base game has skits for a lot of needed character development that we simply did not get in the US release. Bummer.

I thought I beat this game way back but I don't remember the last half of this at all. Just the first half of the story amazed me back then but its an even more amazing story than I knew.
@@manidavis4126 I do remember the dungeons in the first half though. So, I think I stopped playing because of college work and somehow told myself I already beat the game and moved on.
BUT its PS1 version costs TOO much and even the PS2 remake NEVER left JAPAN both really NEED a PS4 PS5 Switch port but so do Legendia Rebirth Abyss and Eternia

Probably the reason you don't remember the second half is because it becomes mostly just dungeons.

Long overdue for a Tales Of classic collection like how Castlevania has done it.
The amount of bug on this game is insane, soft locked out of the game so many times frustrated the heck out of my 8 years old self....
