- With macrophages covered, let's move on to another innate immune cell type, dendritic cells. These are able to capture and present antigens to the T cells of the adaptive immune system, prompting a variety of outcomes. Let's take a look at the types of dendritic cells and what they do!

The sensation of watching Professor Dave's coverage of cells that work in our immune system as my own immune system works to fight off an infection. It's amusing! 😄
KICK IT’S ASS
Lol ironic since I'm on some antibiotics right now too for a leg injury lol 😆
So I'm sitting here educating myself by watching all his videos on different things to pass the time 👍
you meant to say "immusing" didn't you? ;-)
I was very intrested in the immume system but was only able to find really childish explanations or PHD level immunology's level lecture, your video allows even the common internet users such as I to learn about our Body and it's daily functions. Thnak you very much Mr.Dave, please continue your brilliant videos.
I sure appreciate the wide array of scientific explanations/information available on this channel, thank you!❤
I love immunology, especially the dendritic cell. Thank you.
thank you science jesus i love immunology
Thank U so much, from Brazil and Portugal. You are amazing
You forgot to go over cDC1 and cDC2 subsets and the function of moDCs you also can add FDCs (follicular dendritic cells) as they are slightly related
I believe the + and - are pronounced "positive" and "Negative" instead of "plus" and "minus".
So CD4+ is prnounced "CD4 Positive" etc...
cDCs (classical or conventional dendritic cells) @Professordave are also found in blood in small amounts
You are a very good RUclipsr, I love your videos, can I get a comment heart?❤
We are so feeble yet so resilient! Nature, you crazy.
I really enjoyed these lectures, but I’m going to say that the title of this one made me think that it was going to be like a B roll marvel movie. But it is very interesting as far as I’ve listen so far. Thank you sir. 1:09
To my knowledge, Langerhans Cells are no longer considered to be of the Dendritic cell line.
Source: Langerhans Cells - The Macrophage in Dendritic Cell Clothing
cDCs can also come from the lymphoid lineage too along with the myeloid lineage DCs
Plasmacytoid dendritic cells are also aberviated pDCs for monocyte dendritic cells (or monocyte derived dendritic cells) moDCs as well
You are amazing,, thank you
Hooray new video!
early :D
Perfect name.
cDCs (classical or conventional dendritic cells) @Professordave are also found in blood in small amounts!
@Davefarina
Why is macrophages introduced as one cell from a monocyte? Arent there other cells in different tissues in the body that are also macrophages like langerhans cell, mast cell and so forth?
I don't know if it's generalizable, but how do these cells get moved from one spot to another and at the right time? (How does this work???) Interesting but intimidating at the same time.
My adderall is kicking in I timed this perfectly!
Lmao too relatable
I just took one 28 minutes ago@@TheSonicSegaNerd
Dendritic cells. Say that fast 10 times fast.
Thanks for all you do.
Mature cDCs an also be found in the peripheral blood in low levels
I'm a bit surprised... Do they really use the naming CD-something "plus", not "positive"?
You are amazing! :)
Amazing Introduction 😂
I really typed Chemistry Jesus and found you
Hello Don
👏
🙂👍
Can you talk to Bryce Mitchell please.
Where is your long hair? 😢🥺😭
Edit: this is the first video I've seen that Professor Dave has short hair. 🙈
remember when this guy had beef with litteraly the entire flat earth society? yeah, good times
His videos were scathing and pretty final. They utterly obliterated the flat earth delusion. He doesn't need to make any more. I miss them too though 😊
ahhh illithid invasion
So what does all this mean in ENGLISH terms???
WOAHHHHH
Hi
