This Playstation version is even less well made than the mega39s version that I received, pretty much everyone I knew that bought it has a button/buttons that's unplayable/unresponsive. It also sounds quite different, much quieter and more of a thud noise than a clack than the mega39s version when you smack the buttons. If you watch my mega39s version review and know exactly what I'm talking about. Like I said everyone I knew that bought this had unplayable button issues, including this one you see in my video. Mine was only playable after opening the controller up to insert foam between the buttons and the connector plastic that presses on the mechanical switch that triggers the inputs. I would not personally recommend this controller unless you are willing to open it up to do the fix, although simple still annoying to receive a unpolished product. The Touch Slider has 2 modes, the one I did in this video was Arcade mode, which acts like the real arcade sliders. It is not very responsive hence the reason I let my holds go just to swipe the sliders more aggressively to reduce the chance of missing the input. The other mode is Normal mode, where you can press 4 specific parts of the touch panel to trigger slider inputs. This mode I didn't like because you need to hit it right on the spot or it wont trigger the input, so a lot of muscle memory will be required if you want to main this method. Once you do the soft mod fix yourself, the buttons are quite responsive and fantastic, the touch sliders are 5/10 compared to the real arcade sliders. Similar to my tap mode perfect on Popipo ExEx, it would be possible to perfect charts with heavy sliders but it would take many retries due to luck rather than skill. Priced at 6500 yen (currently, this company changes the price depending on the demand) + about 2500 yen shipping/import you are looking at the final price of 90~ USD. As long as you do the soft mod fix, that performance is worth the price tag
I had to do a very similar mod to my switch version. I replaced the switches and then placed a tiny piece of paper in the holes where the switches fit into the buttons. It made the con MUCH more playable, but I agree that you shouldn't have to do that on a new con. Thanks for the great review tho! I got the con from your recommendation and I've really got into the game now lol
Hey Hisokee! I bought this because I saw your review of it and followed the provided link. It's a pretty neat little thing, but I do agree that the sliders are a bit wonky. For a sliding hold note, you have to continue moving your finger really slowly across it. Just holding your finger there interrupts the hold.
@@hisokeee Your solution looks so much better! I never considered sliding one finger back and forth. I thought it only registered an input to the left or an input to the right. However, I did notice that if you're say sliding to an arrow facing
@@HoneyHeartstrings I just saw this comment. What's crazy is I'm using the megamix version and I'm able to hold on sliders and it registers fine without breaking the slide. It seems like the quality control really was not the greatest on this and maybe I just got lucky. My only problem with the slider is when I try to switch directions too fast it won't work. I get around this by just changing which finger I'm doing the slide with and the lift seems to fix it.
I wanted to mention a couple things about the switch version of this con for anyone interested. It doesn't work out of the box on Joy2Key for PPD for me. I have to use the mayflash adapter. I also had to put paper in the holes for the buttons where the switches go because after I put new switches in it started missing notes otherwise. It works great now except the slider. It does work, usually. However it's much more accurate to use the joysticks. Thanks for the new video Hiso!!
@@hisokeee yep it's the megamix version. Not sure why but it starts pressing a million buttons when plugged into a PC. The mayflash adapter just fixes it tho and makes it work. Luckily. Good thing that they seem to have fixed it on PS4 tho!
I ordered this controller, a few days before seeing this video, actually. I was surprised to find that it actually seemed to work better than my ipega Switch controller, which was fine except for one button that would occasionally stick. However, the circle button was very sensitive and would constantly register presses just from having a finger resting on it. I fixed it by opening it up and putting some gorilla tape (duct tape basically) on the edges of the plastic button mounts that touch the board. Now, it’s basically flawless. I can safely say I recommend this controller if you are willing to make this minor adjustment.
Budget project diva: watch videos of any random song and then get a random controller related to the p´s4 one and tap buttons with the note theyre mathcing with
ive played a lot of the PC version with a keyboard, kinda struggling to find a reason to get a controller other than it looks nice and i can make believe im playing arcade
im trying to make my own controller, and i'd like to know if anyone knows a reference to how the touch slider works? i saw a video about it, but this is just such a niche use case and i'm too dumb to figure out electronics >.
i have tiny hands and it's a perfect size for me. the the touch bar is definitely too close to the buttons. i always accidentally reach the button layout up top
PLease somebody help!!! I got this PS4 controller and its all I can afford to get and yes the buttons are becoming unresponsive! I know people are doing soft mods to it and Tokaku even did a video of modding the Switch version of it but what can I really do? I tried putting a piece of paper inside the hole of the X button but it made it even more unresponsive. I then tried to loosen the screws so there wasn't much pressure and that was just dumb. Any other advice?
My actual review below.

yours is the megamix version right? only the switch one goes crazy on pc lol. The ps4 ver works by default when I tested

Do you have yours set to Arcade? My slider started working perfectly after I set mine to Arcade...
Steam input is another way to get it to work

I'm so impressive ^^ Thanks for showing us the Touch Slide experience!

Touch sliders seem so hard to hit
yeah they are too small for my liking, but I may just be too spoiled by the full size AC layout
i love the scream at the end
I was expecting him to YEET the controller when he got a safe
Thank you you beautiful pair of hands. Wonderful job.~
I'm glad we agree on what the best song is
damn the sliders seem really unresponsive, huh.
I set mine to arcade and it works perfectly now, wonder if that is the issue for some people
The end is the hardest part
Hiso sounded like the gremlin in the mountain dew commercials lmao
The classic: one safe
What the keyboard sounds like when I’m building over lava in minecraft while trying to escape creepers
Man i was hoping you got a perfect on that song with the controller😭
Hiso with short nails again looks so surreal now.
I would really like to see Hisokeee try to perfect P name on the Vita
On the Slim ver cuz in the fat one he is going to Break it
It seems really easy and comfortable on arcade
i dont want this to feel like im trying to backseat, but you dont have to keep sliding once the whole is blue instead of yellow :)
What type of moo moo meadows is this-
That was so F-ING ASESOME!!!!
Not bad Hiso!
It looks so easy and small
Thanks, hiso!
have you played/can you play Anti the∞Holic Extreme? :)

This is weird, I have future tone but I can’t find ohayodel. Is it on an extension or something
Its om future sound or cororful tone ( i think?)
does this controller work with mega mix plus on pc?
That seems a bit small for arcade controller ngl
i have tiny hands and it's a perfect size for me. the the touch bar is definitely too close to the buttons. i always accidentally reach the button layout up top
I can find this on Amazon, right?
The 1 safe
Oh God, I do not like the touch slider. Honestly, it is very wonky whenever I use it.
You are playing with computer?
will this controller work with the English version on ps4?
I’m actually playing future tone on the ps5. Can you use the mini controller from pega also on the ps5?
In case you're still wondering, yes
Cow song
