I love this, never seen anything like it! I work in a herringbone parlour here in Australia, fits 10 cows per side, 20 in total. We milk only Holsteins, too. I love the way you interact and move your girls! Lovely calm herd. Nice vid!
How long did it take for the cows to get used to getting milked in the mobile? And is your cell count very low? And how about mastitis? I very much like the idea I've seen them on small farms in tropical counties where the weather was hot and it worked superbly. I was just curious to know would or could this system be used twice a day and in not so favourable climates like some parts of Europe where the weather is wet and windy, and summers are ok? sorry for all the questions.
Can you pasture your cows the hole year round in NZ? Because here in the Netherland's we have are dairy cows in the winter in a shed because it's just to wet on field's. And i read on your blog of september 2016 that you say that people don't need to start there own micro dairy farm. So how do you think now about that? Is it now just possible or you would recommend me to don't start a micro dairy. Greets Siebert
Yes in New Zealand they are all year outside. Most farmers have only milking she'd(parlour).Only few of them have wintering shed and even they didn't used. Most of them are spring calving in 2 monts. God bless you!
Grazed cows and milked them in a double 5 herringbone. would never milk cows in that setup. cows being grazed are always loose, trying to milk them from behind with no manure trough would be unsanitary and unpleasant to say the least. got coated many times, not a pleasant experience.
Thanks for sharing! This was great to see as I am venturing to build my own mobile milk parlor. :)

Looks a good system, cows seem very content, less walking to and from yards must help.great video.
I reckon that’s totally awesome. All nutrients going back to the system. And compliments a planned grazing system.
Exelent equipment, good work, Sir!
How good is this. I found it cold enough in a shed years ago. Out in the open would be hard.
Wish to see this next trip to NZ.
Interesting. Very. Thanks for posting!
How well does this work in rain?
very nice operation, can u tell plz how many cm for each cow in this milking system?

What good is it in bad weather
That's what raincoats are for
Thank you for sharing :)
Do you do the disching of the machines on the pasture?
How many ltrs you getting on once a day
And do you leave calf’s on for long
do you have a generator for heating water for washing the machine? how does that work?
Just wondering what would that cost for that kind of setup just curious here in the states when milking a tie stall
Great video. Would like to see some real time milking
nice if you live in happy land with NO WINTER
How many cows.
Nice operation. Wouldn't be approved in the United states though. To many regulations
There are approved mobile parlors in the USA.
Ok. I didn't know that
Is there any way I could have the dimensions of your stall area-grain boxes included?
Who do you supply you milk to? Was it much of a headache with MPI and council?
I processed the milk myself. It complies with all regulation.
@@GlenHerud could be an option here if the farm was flat haha
Nice video.thanx
Is this available in Europe or Russia ? How much would the cost be roughly, for 10 cows ?
Try this guy www.agregatai.lt/
That's a great idea. Where can I get one? I'm in the UK.
Swaving in the Netherlands, Cremers in Belgium. Also Dairy master has something mobile, but not galvanised like the others.
Will you please share dimensions of this parlour and what kind of fencing is used to hold cow before milking
Hi, its 10 metres in length and was 2.4 metres wide. I just used Gallagher electric fence reels and standards. :)
Is there any manufacturer who can supply such mobile milking machine ?
May I ask in what price range your milk was?
Why film it so it plays at high speed...horrible .
Not to nice on a wet day

can you help me build it?
Is this a self made parlour??
It was made by a local engineer to our specs.
If you mind me asking, roughly how much it would cost to make one?
About $100,000 NZD That includes tanks, pumps, generator, new milking plant & trailer.
Facinante

That is a step backwards instead of forward. Not sustainable at all
