We done a very similar job with a second hand 12 unit on a second unit , ours had air gates feeders cluster removers and meters it cost €8000 to buy but by the time we had it in we felt a new parlour after grant wouldn’t have been much more expensive but it’s good to see a man talking realistic and not going over the top spending , best of luck

David, what an incredible and inspiring young farmer you are! Fantastic! Certainly got your head screwed on! And following your dreams! Farming is a challenge at the best of times. At least in Ireland you have the EU!.In the UK not so, so the uncertainty is a big factor.
What you have achieved on your budget and being careful and looking towards expansion in the future. The parlour looks fantastic! So well planned and clean. Your cows are a credit to you! Every success to you and your family. Thank you for sharing. Will be following you with interest. All the best.
