This is going to make me redownload this for yet another playthrough. Takes time to learn the ins and outs, like most games in this genre, but god is it satisfying to win.
LULZ! After getting used to catching uploads so early YT could only muster up 360p, I return from a lunch and get auto resso'd to 1080p... as if i'm THAT rich!
coldest winter in germany, at least as far as I remember or in Hamburg to be more precise, was -40° Celsius. The cold felt like it was poking your face, like needles. Almost like radiation feels like. Apparently -40 Celsius is also -40 Fahrenheit. Thats a bit confusing.
I love games like this, but I can't play them beyond 2 hours as I always f something up big time. Now I just see how quickly I can cause a deliberate catastrophe. Turns out in FrostPunk, that comes pretty feckin' quick!!
I hope Lobos plays They Are Billions some day. Same vibe as this game (build your city and pray it'll resist the final test, while enjoying epic music), but with combat!
Started playing this yesterday while watching your RUclips vid. Failed a few times but just beat the game on normal! Was fun but I don't see it having much replay ability. Once you beat it one time, it's pretty much gonna be the same formula to win again. I won with 252 people alive. Many died during the big freeze and was on the verge of losing when the storm finally passed. Was hectic for what it is. I didn't stop time, pretty much always pressing fast forward. Gotta stay on top of everything 💯 BTW, it's free on playstation plus
@@handtomouth4690 Extra is the only PS+ tier worth having anyway. Essential is so basic, it's like a stripped carcass. Premium is probably only worth £5 more than Extra. Extra offers the best value out of the three, in my opinion. I've played £600+ worth of games since getting a PS5 last Summer.
Lobos' twitch chat bot (LobotJR) is programmed to pick a random winner from anyone who chats in stream. The person who wins (known as the Wolfgod) gets to pick a game for him to play. The official rules are that he only has to play their pick for 1 full stream, however many of the Wolfgod picks end up being games he truly enjoys, so he tends to do multiple streams or finish the game entirely.
I don't understand people saying this game is difficult, Lobos just survived for 7 hours making it up as he went along. Seems pretty easy, on normal at least?
It isn't difficult, in terms of you just die. The difficulty comes in when you try to preserve as many people as possible while signing as few "bad" laws as possible. Mind you, not necessarily from the goodness of your heart, but because some decissions can become.. problems. It is very easy to slip up and fall behind on something, that will come back to bite you in the ass after ~30 minutes, forcing you to deal with a problem or sign a law that you didn't want to. For example, on my first run, I was very much behind on food and coal, so when the end game arrived and hell froze over, I couldn't do anything anymore, just hope some people survive. It was not a problem to be solved by current me, but the me 1,5 hours before.
I think this game is pretty bad, and I would never waste time on it... So.... how am I watching 8 hours of it? Meanwhile a Z killed my character in Zomboid, after I spent 15 hours leveling him, cuz I got distracted with something lobos was reading about sawdust making meals more filling... 10/10
It's a pretty solid 7-8/10 game, it definitely is lacking in terms of sort of extra content It would be great if there were other bases set up that were potential enemies or allies, having a sort of military aspect on top of fighting nature itself would be pretty nice
@mr420quickscops2 There are several expansions you can get, and each one comes with a different challenge and cenerio. This one includes people and places to go not just playing in the pit.
wolfjod really killed it with the pick
I'm still livid that the person who won Wolfgod is named Wolfjod, precisely because it feels rigged, but isn't
...or is it?
No. It isn't.
...or is it?
Honestly at this point I would watch Lobos play anything lol

Nice, this has been in my library for a long time, I guess I'll play along with the VOD.

Nah it just means that once it hits those temperatures everyone can collectively go, "Yeah its too cold outside."
I love this game, glad that Lobos seemed to enjoy it and my thanks to the Wolf Jod for picking it.
part 1, does that mean youre gonna finish this run? hypeE

The replayability comes in with the different scenarios and DLC. The Last Autumn was really good.
