I'm glad to hear that you found some things that are very you from Hobonichi. I love that their huge release includes something for everyone. I'm in my third year in the A6 Five Year Diary, and it's so much fun to see what was in my life and on my mind in the prior years. Enjoy Northanger Abbey. It's a wonderfully playful satire about the dangers of gothic novel-reading. The weekly check-in format of these videos is fun!

Northanger Abbey is the most fun book of the six Austen novels. The heroine is young and inexperienced so to her lots of things appear mysterious that are quite commonplace for the reader. For those prefer audio books I recommend the version performed by Juliet Stevenson. She manages to enhance every ounce of Austens brilliant humour.

And yes: Northangse Abbey is a beautiful book. All Jane Austen books are. I’ve read them over and over again. Pride and prejudice is my favorite, but sense and sensibility and Emma are both good runner ups.
I love Plotter for all those reasons! So slim, and it holds a surprisingly large amount of pages. I think the A5 size was the right choice for what you're using it for. I have a mini (for my wallet/bag) and a bible - and the bible size is smaller than I anticipated because the paper doesn't go all the way to the edges. I actually ordered an A5 last week and am excited to get it - the bigger space to write and organize looks like it will be great!
I think the book mill and town is pronounced like the Shakespeare characters. Also couldn’t tell if the bookmark says it but their tag line is my favorite: “books you don’t need in a place you can’t find!”

I love titanium pens, They match several of my bicycles 🙂 The Jin Hao 9016 is a bit smaller than the 9019.
I have a Bible (planner/ wallet) and A5 plotter (journal/commonplace). I like them so much. I haven’t looked at anything else since. I probably could have even gotten away with just the Bible size. I just wish I could have gotten them with gold rings.
I love plotter. I got a 4mm punch on Amazon and can punch unused paper from old notebooks. The punch I got has a narrower gutter too, which is really important in the plotter.
My favorite demo pen is my Majohn Q1 because I can just put the entire contents of a sample vial in it. I have Northanger Abbey in a small stack of books I want to read. I think I read it in the 70s. You should let us know when you are ready to start reading it, and then I'll read it, too.
Heck yeah the asvine v126 in its brown color is chefs kiss! Medium nib on it is like a broad. It’s a brown demo. It’s a weekly carry

As for the 9019 size, I agree it is a bit larger side of pens. I highly recommend the 9016, which to me is a hidden gem. I have it in the yellow-ish demonstrator and also the clear demo. I really really like the writing experience with it.
I’m doing 30 inks 30 days! I am filling in my “calendar” where all the colors go on one page, then I am transcribing a whole page of a book. I’m keeping it all in my ink journal. I love your idea of drawing the pens!

Such a fun video! I loved seeing the bookstores you visited and all of your new treasures. I decided to lean into fall early this year and have chosen all of my inks for the season (which has been great as I had not used some of them in a long time.) Bring on spooky season! (I've never read Northanger Abbey but now I'm intrigued!)

If you dont like the Jinhao 9019 you might like the 9016 or the 9013 which are smaller versions of that same design :)

Todays pen is the AMOK M400 in Aurora Green This is a great pen it came with a #5 Broad Schmidt nib which it writes beautifully but I love to flex theres no denying it I'm a calligrapher I teach calligraphy I switched out the nib for a FPR Ultra Flex nib and its amazing writes beautifully and I paired it with Diamine All the best from the Green Diamine Inkvent calendar 2022 :)

Have you seen anything about this anywhere.... I am very curious about your experiences with the Plotter A5 binder. The color looks lovely! I would like to order one to use as a project planner / commonplace book. But I'll wait a little longer until the refills are back in stock on the Plotter website.
Quick story so when I was at the DC pen show, I met this nice guy who only sold pelicans, but he took multiple trips to Germany and he was actually selling them and I really wanted to get one but a lot of it was out of my budget and this lady came over to him and gave him a pen to give away, and it looked sort of like the green 600 or the whatever the translucent big pen is and he gave it to me, but it was smaller more like a similar size to the M 200s, but it ended up. It wasn’t even a pelican. It was a reform and I’m really sad because the grip section actually cracked so I can’t use it anymore because it just starts leaking everywhere, but I was super sad that I can’t use it anymore
I am partifipating in #30inks30days I usually do ink reviews but I decided not to do ink reviews and just have a play with some inks that I have previously done for the Diamine Inkvent calendar in previous years sens I only got to play with them for like 1 or 2 days :)

Coincidentally I purchased 2 asvine pens from Amazon, coming in a couple days. One is P20’s pink/purple and a Lorelei 667 transparent… I digress, what I wanted to ask as a new fountain pen user/collector… what is a demonstrator pen? I keep hearing that but I don’t know what that means.
