Thank you for the excellent tutorial. It's nice to see one of these made without the Rotary cutters and the fancy quilting rulers.

Thank you for the tutorial. I can't wait to make a few. My husband owns a construction business, and I think his crew would benefit from these. I have a couple of questions:
Do the beads stay hydrated? Or can they be dried out and rehydrated?
Have you experienced anyone have a skin reaction? I read that the beads are non toxic for adults.

Thanks for watching. To answer your questions: According to the information I have seen the beads will dry out if not left in a baggie. But it takes a long time from what I understand. I put my neck wrap in a baggie and place it in the fridge when not using it. I have not experienced anyone having a skin reaction. There is a caution about pets not ingesting the beads. They can do harm if your pet swallows them. Hope this answers your questions. I hope your husbands crew enjoys their wraps and stays cooler. Keep sewing!

    Okay!
I didn't think these were too involved. Got my mom's sewing machine several years ago and it is time to start using it...again.
A friend of hers made these and gave them as gifts in the summer. She didn't divide them into thirds though.
Yet some how the beads would stay adequately even throughout the thing. I often wondered what her secret was to achieve this.
Anyways, after soaking it we would put them in the freezer to freeze.
My contribution to this much needed necessity in the summer, is to wrap it around something before freezing.
I use a Gatorade bottle, which is in there already half filled with water...on its side or angled...
then finish filling it when frozen...that's the hydration part.
But having your neckerchief pre-formed/round before freezing, makes it a bit more comfortable when putting it on.
    Also, have several at hand.
After that things thaws and before it dry's up...or just swelled with sweat, your gonna want another one fresh and ready to go.
...now I just have to figure out, again, how to thread the sewing machine...It was another millennia ago the last time I used it.
    Thank God for the internet...

Thanks for sharing the info on freezing these. Glad you have broken out the sewing machine again. Thanks for watching and keep sewing! (Also, good luck with the needle threading)

Is that just a regular pencil you used? Is it a Fabric Pencil?
Your tutorial is amazing. Saved it for future reference. I like to make them to give away at summer events where we run a booth.

Yes, it is a regular #2 pencil. You can use a fabric pencil or other fabric marking tool if you wanted to erase the lines after you sewed them. Thanks for watching and keep sewing!

What fabric do you recommend!? Thank you for such a great tutorial!

I use 100% cotton fabric. You could use a cotton polyester blend but it will work best if the cotton is a higher content. Stretchy fabrics will not work well because they will not hold the shape needed for the scarf. Thanks for watching and keep sewing!

I'm new to this RUclips thing. I really liked your video. Instructions were great for a senior to understand. Not sure where to find the instruction or rather the description box here? I need to know what size the micro beads need to be

      @sarashettlesworth5700
It is easy to find the description box.
      1) Right underneath the video, you have the title of it.
      2) Directly under that, will be another line with some basic information. Like how many views the video has, when the video was posted, etc.
      3) At the very end of that line you will see the word “more” it will be in lower case letters, BUT in bold, so it stands out more. That is the link for the description box for every single video here on RUclips. It is where the content creator can put additional information, links, etc.,. If you scroll down, you can also find the transcript for the video. (Not everyone uses it, but the vast majority will at least use it to some degree. At least the vast majority of the people I watch do.)

The beads inside swell once soaked in water. After they are activated you can rinse it out but do not wring it or the beads will pop. Keep sewing and thanks for watching.
