Thanks to ATC person who figured out he was dealing with & acted promptly! The contrast between the non-impaired pilot & this one couldn’t have been more stark.👍♥
ATC should’ve said “Hold to taxi to runway 380, expect further clearance at 5:80pm”

In my country you can get a DUI if you are sitting in the driver's seat and the car is not even running or on the road. Drink driving is a $2000 fine for a first offence and low range. High range and repeat offence its over $10k and you are in jail for 6 months to two years minimum. Then there is the points and licence cancellation. The consequences are dire. You will lose your job and never get insurance again.
@@TechnikMeister2 It's strict in the U.S. too, the vast majority of U.S. states even have "open container" laws that make it illegal to have an alcohol container (bottle, can, etc.) _open_ in the vehicle, regardless of whether anyone has been drinking and even regardless of whether the container still has any alcohol left in it. Just an empty beer bottle can get you in trouble, and in several states it doesn't matter if the car is parked. Still illegal.

@@bjb7587Yes, even in Texas, and it's one of the states where it doesn't matter if you're parked. Open containers are prohibited in any seating area of a vehicle, including the driver's side, passenger side or backseat (trunk excluded). Texas passed the Open Container Law in 2001, see Texas Penal Code section 49.031 "Possession of Alcoholic Beverage in Motor Vehicle". If you search for *Texas 49.031* you'll find it.
