When Omari broke this down, it made me feel like the show had no intentions of bringing him back, but flirted with the idea in order to keep the viewership. Because of course ultimately they are aware that we want Ghost back, the story is not complete, and true fans know this.
Imma just enjoy the fact that I can rewatch the Og Power even if Omari not coming back

What he said makes a lot of sense tho. For 6 full seasons we were told and sold that ghost was the smartest. He’s always 3-4 steps ahead of ADULTS. He got over on everybody and saw everything coming…. If TOMMY knew that that night was the last time someone could come for ghost how would GHOST not know that. They expect us to believe either he knew and had a death wish, or he didn’t see it coming at all, neither of which fit the narrative of 6 seasons. He was definitely hitting the nail on the head.
Yessss but honestly that’s what makes Yariq killing him make the most sense. He was supposed to be so smart and calculated but was completely blindsided by his own son which was his fault for underestimating him
@@aimmdejaneethey made Tariq do it so they could have a storyline for Book 2, which they rushed to be Tariq’s story. They should have made Book 2 be Tommy’s story. Tariq’s story should have been Book 4, so it could give them time to build off Book 1

At this point Them teasing ghost’s return is just a way to keep the fans watching. It’s hard to believe they’ll bring him back but I want it.
Shavoo and Ghost are two characters that showed us a side of Omari's acting skills that stand out, his facial expressions. If Omari was British he could be the next James Bond. He has that type of ICONIC flair to make a franchise character into a classic.

I was never cool with how the show ended and it’s not because of him being killed but who they had kill him. The spinoffs could have happened for sure but it never made sense for them to have Tariq kill his pops and then have him wanting to become his pops and be better than him. Would have made much more sense if Ghost died by the hands of someone else and Tariq wanted to continue his pops legacy.

Omari is a talented and iconic brother. But, man, he knows how to inflate an answer to a freaking question. Jeez. Anyway, the man built Power. If he is not narrating Origins, im a feel a way.
They could have continued Power and still did the spinoffs. They could’ve had Ghost still be the Lt. Gov and Tariq still defy him. And then make Book 2: Raising Kanan, Book 3 could’ve been Force Book 4 could’ve been Origins then pick back up the main storyline in Book 5
Ain’t that simple. Power ended at season 6 because they literally had to pay him more to continue the story..book 2 is ending because too many series regulars are getting too expensive especially characters like Davis & Monet

Yeah at this point I’m no longer hanging in to the fact that ghost is coming back. They definitely need to stop saying Ghost never dies, if they plan on not bring him back cause now it’s like they using Omari’s character ghost. But I love what he said about he played a character and he is a little better than him so follow him and not the character! That was such a profound and yet humbling response.

Ghost didn’t have to die for Tariq to have a spin-off. Tariq could have went to Stansfield, ran into the Tejadas and Ghost could have continued his story as he tries to run for office and leave the game behind.
As much as I want Ghost to comeback, I’ve been off the “Ghost is alive” bandwagon. We’ll see in Part 2 but, I doubt we’ll see him let alone a hallucination scene.

Honestly Ghost got away with way too much… I personally became tired of watching him escape death & prison time & time again when that’s not how the streets work in real life. Omari Hardwick is an amazing actor & he deserves to go down in the hall of fame; my problem isn’t with him it has always been with the writers.

I always said that Ghost still could've lived and these spinoffs still be what they are. It's like the MCU. Everyone could've been intertwined. Ghost and Tate could've been that influence Tariq needed at times in book 2 and he would hate going to his dad for help on anything until that bond was fixed so he'd try to get Tate to help him
