Ace was the goldilocks guitarist for kiss. He was just right. Vinnie was honestly a way better guitarist than kiss deserved. He could have been a randy rhodes stand in for ozzy

He added his own flair, originality and style to the solo and I would happily listen to his version. Tommy, on the other hand, no flair, no originality and no style, unless the wholesale copying of Ace is regarded as a style.

Ace Frehley has left quite mark. Ace let people know he’s leaving. The end of KISS or do they replace him? Vinnie Vincent fit perfectly. KISS still had that mystique. Eric and Vinnie were very mysterious. I saw “Creatures Tour” with Plasmatics opening. Vinnie had just joined. Literally. People at the concert didn’t know who he was! No internet. “The Invasion” still sounds awesome.

Why no recent videos of the Love Gun Solos for Tommy and Ace? There's ample video out there for 2022 with both Ace and Tommy doing the Love Gun solos. You cannot compare old video and say it's comprehensive.
Thayer was the best, the Ace clip was short but he was second. Bonnie dead last. Sounded like a swarm of angry bees. Nothing like Frehleys original solo. Sounded like a kid showing off in a Guitar Center playing fast getting nowhere
No soy un gran experto en KISS, apenas conozco su discografía, pero creo que los tres están parejos. Aunque Vinnie Vincent lo noto más virtuoso que los otros. Casi no alcanzo escuchar al original.
Debo reconocer que el solo de Vinnie es asombroso, superior al de Ace técnicamente. Ace por su parte tiene un estilo inconfundible, en cuanto lo escuchas sabes que es el, es único. Lamentablemente Tommy es imitador, es un buen músico, pero en esta canción no aporta algo propio.
