    Say, my man, that was very well done. I really appreciate that tutorial. I just had my spark plug done today, hopefully, I can do it myself next time. Maybe you can give me a tip on how to clean gunk out of a carburetor(gy6) without removing it from the bike? Thanks so much 👍✌!

    • @davidhofinger4927
      @davidhofinger4927  5 месяцев назад

      Nope lol
      Not really, We would still have to take it off of the bike, open it up and clean it out, honest but it’s not that big of a job at all
      Disconnect your fuel line, Disconnect the carburetor drain hose, You don’t have to touch the throttle cable keep it on. Pop off the intake with a Phillips, head screwdriver, and a flat head
      And loosen up the intake clamp And pull that sucker off and clean it out.
      There are three screws on the bottom of the carburetor on it, flipped it upside down, take those three screws out, and then gently wiggle the float bowl off and you will see your fuel jets, and those things come out with a flat head screwdriver.
      I know that through a comment it’s not showing you how to do this, but it is as simple as that you’re not gonna break anything just make sure you plug the fuel line back onto the fuel Inlet, Put the drain hose back on the float bowl drain nozzle, Tighten everything back up. I don’t see anybody being able to clean it properly with keeping it on the bike. I have not done it that way before or seen it done.

    If you slip a short length of rubber hose over the spark plug ceramic, you can use it to get the plug started in the hole. If you put a little never-seize on the spark plug threads, the plug won't corrode into the hole.

    I didnt tip my bike im just looking over your video after doing my oil change i rode it broke it in over 25 miles after the new oil change and it runs just fine but should i be worried

      Nah, It’s not the biggest deal they would only be a little bit of oil left in there but if it was my bike I would get new oil make sure to tip all of the old oil out and replace it.
      What that is doing is just mixing the fresh oil with a little bit of old oil it will run and be fine it’s just kinda tainted

    You don’t screw it in to check it read your manual to get the proper amount of oil you just put the stick in and pull out to check

      It doesn’t just slide in it’s a threaded pattern go ahead and try to force the threads against each other and you’re no longer have a dipstick that stays in its position lol

      @@davidhofinger4927 I know what it does I have a Kymco to properly check the oil level is to insert the dip stick till it stops at the block then pull it out to check your manual says it mine says it

      @@marcnissen578 I know that’s an inaccurate way of doing it because there’s still room to go when you screw it down and you’re not getting a fully accurate reading, I don’t read the manual to know how to work on my bike lol

      So do we screw it in or just dip it on the top thread to get an accurate reading on the taotao50?

      @@markn2393 If you want the most accurate reading screw it all the way in, I would not just dip it you’re gonna be off by a little bit
