No way to get serial file if you don't have smart account and to get smart account you should have your own domain. Virtually impossible to get seirial.viptela file for whitelisting your edge devices in lab without smart account. Am I correct or there is a way to get one, if yet kindly help.

Hi Mark, The short answer is yes you will. I am currently recording the Onboarding a Physical cEdge (ISR4331) video. So i expect to release that one this week. The video will show you exactly how to license and install a physical device which is different (and less intuitive) than doing it for virtual devices that lack TPM (Cryptographic ASIC). Sorry i've been feeling under the weather but I'm back in the studio this week.

Any idea why it tells me this ? what i can do to solve this issue ????????
Unfortunately I have no power of Cisco's rules regarding access to licenses. I really don't know what options you have. I do know there there are a number of license files that students say they have found on the internet. You could use any license file provided you use the matching organizational name.
Usually by buying a cisco device and a smart net account to cover it. Many of my students don't have that so i provide a license file they can use in their home labs which requires them to use my organizational name obviously but lets them lab. I think other license files exist in the wild for the same purpose.

I have to assume Cisco’s site is reacting to the country of origin. Which seems odd. I have never dealt with export restrictions.

@@waleedahmed4010 The IP address of the vbond doesn’t matter if you are manually uploading a serial file. But it should be 10.0.0.102.

No. There is no charge for CSRs, ISRv or Cat8K. Throughput just sucks. But for a lab who cares?
