Amazing! This is Great for Ethiopia & Africa.
ET the pride of Africa.❤
Ethiopian Airlines deserves that tagline a lot more than Kenya Airways
@@panashejmombeshora4021definitely
The most amazing thing is that the historical African airline, Ethiopian airlines, is 100% Ethiopian owned and has always been! By Africa for Africa!💪🏾🇪🇹
Congrats 👏 to Ethiopian Airlines and the beloved people of Ethiopia 🎉
Great job Ethiopian Airlines. You guys are the best. 🎉🎉🎉
I look forward to seeing the design
Love Ethiopia Love all African people
Congratulations Ethiopia well earned and well deserved, also thank you for choosing Zaha Hadid I’m one of her fans and I can’t wait to visit your iconic country very soon ❤
As a Kenyan, I have just accepted the fact that Ethiopia as a country and Ethiopia Airlines as a carrier have already established themselves as the undisputed aviation hub of not just Eastern Africa but the whole of Africa! All this while here in Kenya we’re trying to lease out JKIA to a dubious Indian firm to upgrade and operate our crumbling airport for 30 years! 😢
Where did we go wrong as Kenyans? 🤷🏿♂️
Greedy and selfish politicians.
Kenya have many things right that Ethiopia got wrong such as telecommunication and digital money.
You thought that Ethiopia was competing to take over African hub,Which we accomplished a decade ago. ET is working to be middle east hub also.
You’re wrong uae 🇦🇪 holds 55% of Ethiopian airlines and 15% Turkish airliners 20% is owned by insurance companies.
Before you criticize your country, do research and see who are the most share holders of Ethiopian airways then come and comment
Waw waw
So you determined to stay with a single international airport in the country? I don't know how your mind works but bole airport is in the middle of the city you can't even expand the airport anymore . Anyway pls stay positive and get out of from the negative thinking and appreciate the good job ETA doing . Criticism is cheap
@@beyenaAbel THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its going to be constructed in bishoftu. An area where the ethiopian airline crashed 4yrs ago
Stop crying Bruh 😂
They better make a good Rapid Rail Transport, it's gonna be hellish traffic driving from Addis to Bishoftu.
@@zeytelaloi expressway ;) but that'd be cool too
I heard this news four years ago and it hasn't started yet. Looking forward to hearing same news some four years later as well. Do not report a single project several times.
Big news for ET and ADD. I am happy for them.
just wow
Perfect deal hagere my country
Good job guys😊
Bravo Ethiopia!!!!
🇪🇹🇪🇹🇪🇹🇪🇹🎉🎉🎉 Great ❤
Please also build some condominiums or apartments near the bishoftu compound for the employees in bishoftu where you would rent it for them , and if they leave the job they leave the apartments too, just a rental for the normal employees
While the highest paid employees should be given the apartments that is currently being built in addis,
Go Ethiopia!

keep it up strongly

100 million passenger airport and they barely had 20 million pass in 2023 they carried 17.1 million. What is the point of building such a massive airport

Excuse me? Somalia is drilling oil 🛢️ this year 😂 It plans to build a giant wall 🧱 with Ethiopia border too to stop Ethiopian migrants. it plans to not only build one airport but dozens . You are a landlocked country with no natural resources so the airport is more important for you.

Jealousy!! Get over it!!
Why don't you talk about the farmers that would also be displaced? This area is one of the most fertile areas in Ethiopia.

17 Billion birr is set a side to compensate them. Ethiopia is 4x the size of Germany, there’s enough fertile land for everyone.

Functional nothing glitery or fancy
Why build a new $6 billion dollar airport?
Expanding the existing Bole airport makes more sense to me. It is conveniently located near Addis. An upgrade to the existing airport would be cheaper. The proposed new airport will be 30 kilometers away from the city. That is an additional hour of travel and fatigue for weary travelers arriving on those long midnight flights to Addis. The hotels will have to charge additional fees to cover the costs of their shuttle service to and from the distant airport. This is not a good idea. It will surely increase costs for everyone. I am not looking forward to it.
They already did that
the airport will have metro linking it to the bola airport
@@razo3966 I think they gonna connect via train, not metro.
@@razo3966 The high-speed rail is part of Phase-2 which will be years away. If it ever happens at all, Phase-2 will require another round of financing. The high-speed rail will not be cheap and the government will have to recoup it's cost.
Where is the opening space you are looking to expand at Bole? 😊
CEO shame
People are suffering from hunger and yet you spend billions of dollars.use common sense !!!
Easy fano!!
no hunger in Ethiopia. the war mongers in the north are disturbing the line and system. Ethiopia is fertile
Fano/Shabia sympathizer.
Laziness and love for war disrupt hardworking individuals' efforts and damage the recovering economy. Their approach is so outdated that in the 20th century, they chose to live in the jungle and engage in conflict, ensuring they would never achieve a prosperous future.
its not a west its an investment and also we have to help each other and donate to Tigray and other parts of Ethiopia
just 10 birr from every one in Addis is a huge help
Ethiopia is number in Africa.

You should..better ..develop the National Road System and railways...all over Ehtiopia...and allpy immediately the aggreement with Somaliland...! You dont realy need ..another airport...!
With the permission of Mogadishu.😅.I hope u are not day dreaming
So easy Mogadishu to be wiped out, by 125 millions Ethiopians...So easy, as the butter on bread...my friend...
Ethiopian airline is handled as a private entity, government has nothing to do with it, the airlines is just doing its own job🤷🏽♂️🙄
Wow Ethiopia go figure 😂😂😂 the capital city barely has electricity and running water. Ethiopia is a failed country 😂😂😂

Let me guess… you are a hater from Zoomalia.
It's all a show and fake,
First, solve the problem of water and electricity in the city of Addis,
A city that does not have electricity and water 70 percent of the time wants to build another airport for 6 billion dollars.
That's different topic your question goes to water and electric authority.

What happened to the 100 million passanger capacity airport Project near Bishoftu? This 60 million project sounds like they ran out of money. Nevertheless every investment in infrastructure is good for the country
It was a lie and this is a lie too. Back then they had some money at least, but now Ethiopia is broke and in civil war
Yeah, it is still the one with 100 million passengers holding capacity. But, it is build in two cycle. The first cycle will have 2 runway and serves 60 million passengers. The rest is done in the second cycle( 40 million passengers holding capacity and 2 more runway way).
