Doxies are the greatest.. I lost my little girl last year. I had her in a little dog pack...she loved to go on bike rides after work. We were going thru a cross walk and we're hit by a car. And we were messed up pretty bad. And she died. I was devastated. And as time passed I foun a little male English Cream short hair mini doxie puppy in another state. And he's a terror. I forgot what having a puppy is about he's now 10 month and starting to show his doxie traits. Although there isn't a day that goes by where I don't think of the one I lost. My new one is giving great joy. If you've never had dachshund. You owe it to yourself to get one. There's never a dull day. It's awesome. The bond with a doxie there's nothing like it. D

I realize this video was a year ago, and I’m just now seeing it in July 2021, but being the owner of a long haired dachshund, I had to comment! Little Mocha is so cute I literally had tears in my eyes watching “daddy” try to subtly wipe away a tear when he was bonding with Mocha. There are no words to describe how much I love my own baby, and any other one I see. Isn’t that a wonderful time when you first get your baby? You just fall in love. Nothing like it. I hope the little guy is doing well, and btw, mine has had that very same “lamby” and loved it to death (literally lambicide) and it has been replaced every year, lol. I just subscribed so I hope to see your baby in a lot of video’s. So happy for him to have great “Pawrents.” Take care. 😘
I was extremely nervous for him to go through all of that. He was fine made it home safe+ he probably doesn't even remember the experience since he was so young, but I was on edge the whole day praying he would be okay
@@MarissaPusateri actually puppies have two fear stages two -3 months and 5/6 months the negative scary things that happen to them in those months affect them their entire lives. Ex: we took my Doxi to a ball game that happened to have fireworks when she was about 5 months and she at 9 years is still absolutely still terrified of both fireworks AND thunder. I think if you take your lil boy on a plane you might find he is very afraid. It is very very loud under the plane. I’m glad he made it ok though ❤️. If there is a next time there is a airline that flies only animals to their new forever homes petairways.com/
Wen it comes to doing their business all puppy's have a build in clock. If you take him out always at the same time he will get used to it. I had Dachshunds most of my life and I love this breed.
Dachshunds are very smart & very easy to train.my old boy went over the rainbow bridge he had been with me 16 years I missed him so much it took me a year but I now have another black & tan doxie they are so sweet you will really enjoy him
Please be careful when taking him outside, because mocha being small, certain birds would see him as a source of food and pick him up. And that would be a horrible death for him. So please be careful with him. He’s adorable little guy.

We picked up our red longhair female dashund (almost eight weeks old) on the 23 rd March 2020 here in Cape Town ( South Africa) at a cargo road transport company after she traveled about 800 kms overnight from Upington ( near Namibia) to Capetown. By that time all fights have been grounded because of Lockdown and the next day the whole of SA went in total Covid lock down, so we had no option other then road transport. Fortunately the transport company, which normally do not transport live animals, were excellent and they called us the next morning when the truck was about 50 kms from base and we then went there and picked her up. We got there as the truck did and everything went well.. Dashunds have their own unique personality and are excellent companions. Our other Dashund and this one became excellent friends.
I should mention, we bred our female twice, she had 9 puppies in both litters. Mama didn’t have enough milk so I had to supplement them with goat milk every three hours. Exhausting but sweet. I kept one cream female and named her “Willow.” She is my shadow.
I rescued a chiweenie which is a doxie and chihuahua mix. He is brindle. He came from a puppy mill in Texas. He spent the first 3 years of his life in a chicken wire enclosure outside. He didn't have a name and never had a pedicure. He is my life. He is never away from my side. He is my ESA. When I go someplace he can't go I am so full of anxiety.
FYI...They are used to the sound of their mothers and littermates heart beat at night. It reassures them. Substitute with a wind up alarm clock the rhythmic ticking will have the same effect, reassures them and they fall asleep quicker and sleep through the night.

Congratulations on the mini-Dachshund; you probably know this already: Dachshunds (I am not positive if mini-Dachshunds have the same problem) are known for having bad backs, there are ramps and wheelchairs available for Dachshunds however, (if you ask me) the easiest thing to do is, train him to not jump. Again, congratulations.
Ya should go to cuddle clones they can copy merchandise of your puppy even a stuff dog. I got me a big blanket & a coffee mug of my little Pixie she’s a chiweeni
Nicole Strong, I got mine from a lady here in Oklahoma that breeds them on a constant basis, though not mini, mines a 1 yr old double dapple with tan feet, 18.4 lbs. To be a mini they have to be under 15 lbs, my Max will be a small.
If you're going to own a Dachshund, learn how to pronounce it properly. It's not pronounced Dash hound! Look up the proper pronunciation. Maybe this will help, "docsund"!

I always thought that putting a dog in cargo has to be so traumatizing for it.
