For those referring to the (indeed awesome) band: 1. Backing bands of The Voice must be very versatile, support a wide range of candidates. Pop, rock, urban, jazz, classical. But I agree the German band delivers that extra bit I miss in some other "Voices". 2. Backing bands of The Voice must have a high degree of responsibility. They are dealing with highly nervous vocalists; some of them perform live in front of an audience for the first time ever. They can make or break a candidate's performance. 3. On the other hand, these are professionals, spending full time and beyond with their instruments. Even more than the musicians of popular bands that rule the current charts.
