So underrated His career literally went no where next to his peers I'm 44 for Jamaica Queens New York so I'm from the Mecca and grew up in the Culture, writing Graffiti going to all the concerts from summer jam to Jay Z and Eminem in Yankee Stadium, the Hard knock life tour, The Anger Management tour and never saw homie anywhere, He should have blown with the Firm but that failed, His verse on Illmatic was classic and he never dropped a bad verse but he never popped I doubt he ever went Gold it's a shame.

Yeah that would be absolutely great but also unbelievably unfair because AZ hasn't been mainstream since 97 and even if his projects can rival Nas's, it takes time to appreciate his music. Nas and Jay Z would have been a better versus for me.

Az has always been a dope lyricist. He just wasn't elevated to the level of jay-z or even Nas at that point in the 90's.
You aren’t lying! I think he did elevate on the level of Jay Z. & Nas because he was to close to a Naz sound, & back then you had to really be unique in your sound to really stand out, unlike today everyone can sound the same & still blow up on the same level.
