Wow, when it rains down there it really does rain!!! Awesome vid mate (landscape, wild life, camp life...) awesome you guys all had a blast, looking forward to the next episode. 👍👍
Really enjoyed watching your adventure boys! It's such a lottery as to what block and what type of weather you will end up with!! And thanks for all the time and effort of caring cameras & filming and editing once you are home...lots of effort!! cheers BRB
Great stuff mate! it really is about being there & just spotting wap bulls is 2 3rds of the buzz! the sandflys are nuts aye! the south can keep them ;) look forward to the next one cheers
Really good video. Even tho you didn't fire a shot was still a great watch. Good luck in the ballot for next year. I will be trying for another crack at it as well
I enjoyed that, nice editing. You’re inspired me to go there, I’m not sure if I’d take a rifle, but I’m going to go. You’re right about Radix, I’ve been using it since last year and would only eat BC’s eggs now, their other stuff is way over priced for what it is. 😀 Very nice!
Heard a few spooked cows in the bush but that was it other then what was in the video. Yes for me I think without a doubt the program is working. To go into a non core block and see the wapiti coloured animals and hear the wapiti type bugles we did emphasised that. Plus the bush was all in real good condition. The heads are getting better and better every year too. I think a 49” bull was shot this year. There hasn’t been a bull shot that close to 50” in a long time.
Hi mate, it cost us around $2300 total for a Hughes 500 with Fiordland Helicopters from memory. If you find my facebook page “Wild NZ” and flick me a message I would be more then happy to send what info we learnt from the trip.

Nice to see you still had a grin on your faces at the end of that. Hope you get a block and lots of sunshine next year.
Nice video mate! Some challenging weather.... pretty epic place to be though by the looks 👍 cheers
Some pretty familiar country there! Looks like you guys did pretty well despite the weather and lack of bugles, good effort fellas
Thanks mate! Looking forward to your vid!

Regardless of weather or animals it’s a place worth hunting just for the experience alright 👌
Did you see many cows? or bulls? other than what was in your video? in your opinion based on this trip is the wapiti game management program working?

spent 3 weeks there in the early 80's with the army. Rain from the day we inserted until the day they extracted us.
How did the Kuiu and first lite rain gear go fellas?
Bloody good mate! My Hunters Element jacket leaked but Bradley’s and Jacob’s worked well
@@WildNZ cheers mate! Do you know which versions they were using?
@@jaredtansley Bradley also had a HE odyssey jacket but it was new so worked fine. Jacob had the Kuiu Yukon rain jacket
Looks like a nice block. I’ve drawn it for next year for the third period as well. How much did it cost you to fly in?
