That tuono engine is a straight up beast. I rode a friends 2017 tuono last summer. It was the best day of my entire life. But you need to hear and feel.it in person before you can really admire it
Karl Hopkins dude my dad as a 93 vmax too me and him are currently in the process of getting it running again and upgrading it a bit too its been in storage for a few years but its its rly good condition
These special ,many times high rev engine, videos of cars or bikes are my favourite ones. I always get excited when I see a new upload of Visio Racer and enjoy watching his videos. Definetly one of the best motor channels on YT beside TST and savageese, though they have quite different content. Thank you Sam, for making such passionate content while staying independent and thank you to all the fans that keep this channel alive.
Yannik2511 yeah mate!! That sound is unreal. This bike is beyond belief actually!! Nothing comes close to this one, except the H2R ofcourse which is beyond comparison in any capacity.
joshua beckey no they didn't put layers over it, in a forest the sounds echoes from trees comes out like that only , any 4 cylinder would sound like multiple layers coming off of it if its in a forest
I'd like to correct you on one thing, the CB400 super four does not go from 2 valve per cylinder to 4 valve per cylinder during VTEC, what actually happens is a piston shoot out between the cams activating the higher cam thus giving the engine more fuel and air, and while at lower revs it retracts leaving the high cam not in use.
Nice to see the RC30 here. The RC45 had a similar engine but more power, and the VFR800 was a slightly bored out 750 with the emphasis placed on torque as it was a 2-seat sports tourer (thus likely much easier to find than the race-inspired RC30 and RC45 due to being made in greater numbers).
Mid '70s Kawasaki inline 4s always seemed to have a particular note to them, a tone... It was perhaps most noticeable on the little Z650. They sounded lonely, like a wolf howling at the moon. Hondas and Suzukis and so on, from the same era, had similar sound up close, but heard from a half a mile away as they revved out, the note of the Kawasakis was distinctive. When you hear a wolf howl, there is something instinctive, it's a sound that puts the hair on the back of your neck up. Well that's what the old Z650 used to sound like. Put a 4/1 on it, and the sound got even more distinctive. I don't quite understand why the kwakas sounded like that, but they did ... A Honda Four had exactly the same firing interval. The original ones had 4/4 pipes, which also sounded a bit distinctive, but nowhere near as good. Slip a 4/1 on them, and the sound changed a bit, but they still sounded like a Honda. It didn't have that spine tingling timbre the Kawasakis did. I have often wonder why, over the years...
because honda is an engineering company that makes bikes, and kawa is a motorcycle company that engineers :) honda culture is pure stodgy from dna to the stone. the TransAlp is my next bike.. but it is not the fire breathing monster others are...
Silverman I like how my VF1100 sounds. Custom home built pipes that talk loud when hammering but can remain gentle when light throttle cursing. Anything past 1/2 throttle and anything over 5000 rpm and it’s all noise.
Unpopular opinion: I actually like the sound of the flat-plane i4 at high rpm. It can be made to sound really good with the right header/muffler combo.
Thank you fríen for you content and YOUR Chanel is VERY cool and nice THANK youuuu BECAUSE you content is VERY puré and informative AND addictive guy from Nicaragua
Strangely; a straight four banger (R1) sounds better! Although you've got to admit The Panigale's exhaust note has that familiar Ducati Desmo V2 flair. Sound a lot like The V2 Panigale. Ducati went V4; but the core DNA is still there.
Seriously, how many times do i have to say it: cbr400rr; redlines at 14000rpm limits at 16500, gear driven cams whining away at idle, growly exhaust at idle that screams like those 250cc engines at peak rpm and intake howling like a tie fighter from about 10000. Plus sintered hh pads and you get that superbike zizz on the brake that makes even slowing down an aural treat. I've never ridden a bike that talks like it, even my vtr1000 wasnt as horny sounding. Also you missed the gpz750 turbo. Great exhaust note backed up by that turbo whine... very nice.
Sometimes i cant understand why flatplane 4 bangers are so hated by north americans/europeans. Looks like free hating, they dont sound the masterpiece as others configurations, but poor 4 bangers, they sound cool too. Looks like its a cultural thing, north america mostly hate 4 bangers for no real reason, but probably you never will see a South/Central American, Asian, hating 4 bangers (I can say as a person that lived/traveled in that regions) In reality, i think thats no one really hates, but they are so normal around the world that they are considered boring for some people. In fact humans tend to wish the uncommon and hate the super common.
I think is something superficial. I live in south america, where most bikes are 4 stroke 1 cylinder cg style. And having a inline 4 is a luxury (I think in Asia happens the same). So we appreciate every tipe of bike. Because we are used to other things much modest and less powerful and noisy. In USA they love the V twin because (of course) Harley and Indian, and i have no idea in Europe, i suppose that because they are bombarded with inline-4 they do not appreciate. Here a used R6 is round about US$ 20.000 where in USA you can get one used for under 10.000. So I hope I get my point
Well, is exactly what i said about "Humans tend to wish the uncommon and hate the super common" I can imagine why USA love so much V8s, back in the past they gotta V8s everywere. Look at 60s~70s, Sedan? Compact? Sport? Luxury? All have a V8. Probably back in this time V8s are apreciated, but everyone have one, so they are much more common, and less desired. But now with L4 engines all around USA, V8s are much more desired than before. That what happens in Brazil with yours 1 cylinder bikes. A L4 bike rules all. But imagine the opposit, all bikes are 4 cylinders and 1 cylinder are uncommon, people will tend to be desire much more the 1 cylinder. (Just an example)
Mostly because flat-plane 4 cylinders sound very bland and generic at lower rpms, not unlike an economy car. They still sound really nice at high rpms though. I find the parallel twin on my 650cc Kawasaki sounds a lot more boring than a 4 cylinder.
The reason for the V8 being in a lot of vehicles back in the day is America is laced with highways traversing the continent and once you move west of the Mississippi River and especially west of the Rocky Mountains the distances between towns is very large. American cars were built like touring vehicles to travel long distances at high speeds on relatively wide, straight roads. Consumption of oil/petroleum was not a concern until the mid-1970's when the government first imposed restrictions and imported cars began to rise in popularity. As far as Americans hating the flat plane I4 sound, I think you are misguided. You are correct that many people will like a new or different sound (look at people flocking back toward two-stroke dirt bikes). There isn't a hate of flat plane I4 unless you are referring to high school kids who put loud exhaust on a Honda Civic economy compact car and try to pretend they are in the movie 2 Fast 2 Furious.
2:28 is the best part of the video...That badass sound...
Agreed
Fastest bike

Sounds like any other inline 4. Only with a little flutter
So crazy so cool

BikeStuff your bike sounds phenomenal.
I like cb 400 sounds the most from all the bikes in this video
Bro you are phenomenal and your bike too !
Missed a big one! The Honda VFR 800, it has a V4 with VTEC, so you can have spice with your spice.
When talking about sounds either engine or muffler a fly-by is a must - that Kawi H2 at 2:30... good mother of god
8:00 Absolutely love the exhaust note of that little 250 screaming like a banshee!
They don't make bikes like that anymore...
kawasaki is making one :)

I've loved the V-Max since it was first released, and they have always sounded incredible! I wish I could afford one!

Wow. The VTEC sound on the super four. Amazing.
Dude, what a great selection. Amazing video
3:50 is my dream bike 😍
That CB400 has such a nice sound.
I didn't see the '69 CB 750. Great bike and awesome sound.
Best Ever. Nothing quite like the old SOHC lump on full song.
I had a '70 with a Kerker header. Loved the sound of that thing!
Love my sohc 750. Bought it as a barn find for $100
Personally I love the sound of an inline four.
Tuono has my heart, best v4 ever I reckon! The Panigale sounds a lot like v-twin still I reckon
V4 Panigale has a firing order deliberately to still sound like an L twin.. it’s the sound of Ducati’s DNA
2008 CBR with a LEoVince titanium/Cason exhaust with a tune.
I miss that bike!
I AM SO GODDAMN TURNED ON BY THAT SUPERCHARGER FLUTTER (i think i need help)
my fav : H2, and the last two bikes...the sound is savage !!
