Which is why i think ppy did this the way they did. They want more maps because more maps mean more content. But they cannot condone this officially because they must be a non profit game (donations are not profit, theyre donations). So they take a discouragey stance on it but dont ban you. In fact, apparently those maps can still get ranked so seems like they dont actually mind it.

That shows that they actually wanted to teach people about osu!, and the key to being a good teacher or a good coach is actually wanting to teach, and wanting to teach what you're teaching.
I think the whole idea of coaching is really wholesome. I don’t think coaching should be done by someone as low a rank as 90k but I think higher ranked players get bored of the game seeing as there is less and less to accomplish. I think it would be really rewarding to steward someone through learning the game and watching them progress.
Welp, i made a friend (hes 108k and im 338k) and even with both being 6 digits he teached me a lot and helped me go faster, hes so fucking good at streams and im really bad so he helps me with the streams

I'd recommend either learning graphics design yourself and try making your own objects for a skin, or go with a cheaper package (unless you really wanna spend $230 on a full skin with animations). But yk, it's a seal skin. Seals are life. And for that reason I don't regret buying it!

Ima stop you right there Yes, you will become faster, but your accuracy will take a huge hit, and youll lose your capability to play slower maps. Everyone says play more, as will I, however theres a play order 1. The warmup, focus on just playing songs you like, get adjusted to your mouse again. 2. Jumps/streams, now you've been warmed up, get that snappy movement for medium to long distances down, I'd advise playing atleast 10 of those songs, more if you're feelin it. 3. Streams/speed, now you start building up the pace, start reaching for faster maps, streamy maps to really give your tapping fingers a workout. Since you've had technically two warmup phases before this your hands shouldn't *break* 4 (optional) tech. This will train your eyes, adjusting them with sporadic patterns. This can also be swapped out with 2 or 3, jumpier or faster tech maps. However this really depends on the mood you're in. And remember kids, if you start the day with a fast map, your hand will not just be slower, it will also start hurting, fast.

I don't think that coaching is completely useless. Sure you can find really great advice on here, but coaching could benefit from having advice more specific to how you play. The main issue I'm seeing is that the skill of the people trying to coach isn't really high.

But osu is more about self discovery. It's really hard to explain and teach weird concepts such as fast sliders, finger control, alternating and etc. Having a coach won't really help you improve faster, in my opinion. Maybe im a dumbass and I'm completely wrong :p
you don't really need a coach for osu though. you can just watch some informative videos and try out yourself. there isn't much technique to it other than alternating or tablet areas. you just have to play some maps. eg learning how to play the guitar requires a lot more technique and knowledge about sheet music, notes, ...
The thing about Fiverr is: You are paying for the SERVICE, not the product. So as long as they don't say, that what they give you is their original content, then they can do whatever they want. You wouldn't pay $10 for someone elses work, but you'd pay for the act of mixing the skins and/or dragging the hue bar. So yea... that's why it's not forbidden :D

Mapping commissions are great! Osu is way too dominated by one very specific genre of song that is honestly annoying as hell to 99% of the human population. Mapping commissions will inspire more variety which will make more players be able to enjoy the game. I don't play anymore but I totally would have commissioned maps back when I did play.
