    Thank you so much for letting us listen to this. His profound and real sound stays in me. With this video his interpretation talks to our soul. What a musician. Every morning he used to play Bach music and on his music stand Bach was there to the last days.

      amazing to have had him as teacher, I have his LPs "Sourire de la guitare", etc. among my absolute favorites and I have many... "tried" to teach me.... :o))

    His tempos are forced, too fast, then too slow, not naturally musical.

      I'm sorry, but I don't think you're a musician ! The different tempos refer to Rodrigo's own indications and if the composer prescribes ‘espresivo’, the speed can also be reduced. You probably like better the interpretation by Yepes (to whom it is dedicated), because he plays En los trigales strictly ‘a tempo’ and depicts the evenly swaying movement of the wheat in the wind. This is convincing in its own way, but I find Ponce's quasi-intrinsic interpretation equally impressive.
